This is the ultimate PaidViewpoint review.
We’ve spent 100+ hours researching and testing the best survey sites.
Here’s how Paid Viewpoint measures up…
What is PaidViewpoint?
PaidViewpoint is a long-established website which pays you for answering occasional surveys.
This way of making money online is known as GetPaidTo.

This review is a joint effort between Niall Doherty (founder of eBiz Facts) and a hired freelancer named Hannah based in the USA.
Our process:
- We hired Hannah to sign up to PaidViewpoint and test out certain parts of the site.
- Hannah documented her work and tracked her progress.
- We searched online for additional information about PaidViewpoint and carefully noted our findings.
- We wrote a first draft of this review.
- We sent the draft to our Freedom Business Builder community and asked for feedback.
- We made our final edits and published the review.
Note: We may earn a commission if you decide to join PaidViewpoint via a referral link in this review. Read our full disclosure here.
How does PaidViewpoint work?
PaidViewpoint pays you to answer surveys.
They offer two types of surveys:
- Traits surveys
- Market research surveys
Traits surveys are small collections of questions that help us get to better know you and your interests. By getting an idea of your traits, demographics and interests, we can deliver you surveys which are relevant, interesting and more fun for you to answer.
Traits surveys generally pay between $0.03 and $0.10, but more importantly they help build your TraitScore.
Your goal is to achieve a TraitScore of 9000 or better. That will place you in the top 10% of PV members and means you will earn more for each answer.
While traits surveys aim to determine if you’re trustworthy or not, market research surveys are surveys ordered by clients of PaidViewpoint who are trying to understand more about your demographic, your buying habits, etc.
Each market research survey is different, but most take less than 5 minutes to complete and pay between $0.25 and $1.50.
PaidViewpoint stands apart from most other survey sites in two important ways:
- Other survey sites often disqualify you midway through a survey. This never happens on PaidViewpoint. You don’t have to qualify for any survey. Answer those that are presented to you and get paid.
- You can sign up to PaidViewpoint anonymously, without having to confirm your name or mailing address.
Here’s a quick video showing you how PaidViewpoint looks and works on the inside:

Is PaidViewpoint a scam?
Two of the most popular things people search for in relation to PaidViewpoint:
- PaidViewpoint scam
- Is PaidViewpoint legit?
We’ve spent 5+ hours using and researching the site ourselves to find the truth.
First of all, PaidViewpoint is very upfront about the fact that you will not earn a lot of money using their site:
Everybody earns on Paid Viewpoint. But we are not a fast cash or big money site.
Their parent company – Umongous, LLC. – has received a respectable B- rating from the Better Business Bureau (though it has yet to receive accreditation).
PaidViewpoint is also part of Ask Your Target Market (AYTM), which appears to be one of the most respected market research platforms online, having worked with the likes of Samsung, Nike and NBC.
However, we have seen numerous complaints from PaidViewpoint users along these lines:
There were plenty of surveys available for me to answer when I signed up. But as I got close to the $15 payout threshold, the surveys seemed to dry up.
Furthermore, doubt has been cast on PaidViewpoint’s promise that users earn more per survey once they’ve achieved a TraitScore of 9000 or better. Nothing we’ve seen or experienced shows that to be clearly the case.
That said, many users of PaidViewpoint seem not to have encountered such issues. They continue to use and recommend the site regularly.
But if those issues worry you, you may want to choose another option from our list of top-rated survey sites…
🏆 Best Survey Sites 🏆
PaidViewpoint Privacy
PaidViewpoint stands apart from most other survey sites in that you can use it without confirming your name or mailing address.
In other words, you can use it anonymously.
You are asked to provide your name and address upon sign-up, of course, but there’s no validation process.
The only profile information you provide to PaidViewpoint which must be accurate is:
- Standard demographic information (birthdate, zip code, gender, etc.)
- Your phone number (to activate your account via an automated code)
- Your PayPal address (so you can get paid)
On top of that, you should obviously answer all the traits surveys and market research surveys as accurately as possible. (Do otherwise and your TraitScore is likely to suffer.)
PaidViewpoint shares the following information related to your privacy using the site:
When you answer a research survey we provide the researcher your answers, your standard demographic information (see below) and your location down to the zip code level. We do not provide them your street address. We do not provide to them your name, phone number or email address. We do not share your IP address but we do let them see on a map approximately where you live.
Although we do not directly share your identity, there is always a possibility that Umongous Clients who receive this information from us, and/or other third parties with whom Umongous Clients share this information, would be able to deduce your identity based on the information provided, for example if your zip code is sparsely populated area and/or if the combination of your demographics and survey answers are very unique.

How much does PaidViewpoint pay?
Pat here is representative of a typical person taking surveys at PaidViewpoint…
Pat du Pont
- Survey take at PaidViewpoint
- $4 average earnings per hour
Your earning potential on any survey site comes down to two primary factors:
- How much you can earn per hour, on average.
- How many surveys are available for you to answer each day.
If you can earn a high amount per hour and there are endless surveys available, you can earn a lot of money.
Compared to most other survey sites, PaidViewpoint scores well on the first factor:
But not so good on the second:
Our researcher Hannah in the USA found that there was usually only one survey per day available to her after signing up to PaidViewpoint.
She ended up earning almost $4 in less than one hour total using the site, but that hour came over a span of 9 days.
The most we’ve heard of anyone else (believable) earning on PaidViewpoint is $6 per hour, but again that hour was spread out over many days.
Given that, you should not expect to earn very much money using PaidViewpoint, even if you have a lot of time to spare. There simply aren’t enough surveys available on there to earn yourself a quick payday.
If you really want to maximize your earnings on survey sites, see our alternative recommendations here:

How does PaidViewpoint pay?
The official word from PaidViewpoint:
All cash-out payments are made through Paypal or our partner Virtual Incentives, without any exceptions. Currently, Paypal permits sending money to more than 200 countries and territories. We apologize if you live in a country that Paypal doesn’t serve. You can still belong to PaidViewpoint and participate, but you may need to find a friend or relative who resides in a Paypal-acceptable country to receive your earnings.
The threshold required to qualify for cash-out is only $15 USD. Once that level is reached, the cash-out button in your account becomes functional. After you click “cash-out”, we will process your request and you can expect to see the funds in your PayPal account within 72 hours.
They do not specify what gift card options are available, but we’ve seen users mention Amazon and Walmart gift cards.

PaidViewpoint activation bonus code
Some of the most popular things people search for in relation to PaidViewpoint:
- PaidViewpoint activation bonus code
- PaidViewpoint bonus code
- PaidViewpoint activation code
This is because when you click through to the PaidViewpoint sign-up page you’ll see that there is an option to enter an “activation bonus code.”
When asked about this, PaidViewpoint responded:
The activation bonus code field at registration is an optional field. Nobody needs to put anything in this field in order to register. We give these out as promotional incentives to very large referrers.
We scoured the internet for such a code but were unable able to find a valid one.
You can tell easily if an activation bonus code is invalid because you’ll get an error message right away.
It’s worth noting here as well that the PaidViewpoint activation bonus code is NOT the same as a PaidViewpoint referral link.
The latter is discussed in more detail below.

PaidViewpoint Hacks
If you’re looking for PaidViewpoint cheats, or want to know how to get more surveys on PaidViewpoint, the following hacks are the best you’re going to find.
Fill out your profile fully and accurately
PaidViewpoint can only send you relevant surveys if your profile is filled out fully and accurately.
More relevant surveys usually means higher earnings.
Turn on ALL email notifications
There are two types of surveys on PaidViewpoint, but by default, email notifications are only turned on for paid surveys.
Make sure you also check the box to notify you of available “trait questions.”
Answering those will help raise your TraitScore, and a higher TraitScore is supposed to unlock higher earnings per survey. 10
Keep an eye on your email
When PaidViewpoint does send an email alert about a survey, click through and answer it ASAP. The faster you answer, the more you can earn.
Check the website at least once per day
As per PaidViewpoint:
Regardless of your notifications settings, we recommend that you check your account at least once or twice a day to take advantage of the maximum number of opportunities.
Speed up repetitive data entry
If you find yourself answering the same questions in surveys repeatedly, use software like aText (Mac only) or RoboForm to speed up the process.
This will also help you keep your answers consistent, which can help raise your TraitScore.

PaidViewpoint affiliate program
The PaidViewpoint affiliate / referral program is how some folks earn BIG money on the site.
Above: The “friends” section of PaidViewpoint, with all the details for affiliates.
Essential info for PaidViewpoint affiliates
- You can refer people to PaidViewpoint and start earning commissions as soon as you sign up. Check the “friends” section once logged into your account for all the info.
- Whenever someone you referred cashes out, you will receive 20% of every business survey reward they’ve accumulated, up to a maximum of $25 per referral.
- Once you’ve referred more than 100 people, you can apply for the PaidViewpoint VIP program. If accepted, you can collect your 20% commission on the fly instead of waiting for them to cash out.
PaidViewpoint elaborates on that last point:
To get this privilege you need to have 100+ ACTIVE friends/referrals. By active we mean that your referrals have to have been a member for more than 30 days and must be visiting the site and completing surveys on a regular basis. You can apply for it by clicking the VIP banner on your Friends page. Please note that only members who have assembled their communities in a 100% honest way without a shadow of doubt will be granted the VIP status. Please don’t try to bump your numbers by adding ghost accounts or inviting your dog to join, it won’t do any good 🙂
Keep in mind that it’s not necessarily easy to earn money as a PaidViewpoint affiliate. Becoming a successful affiliate marketer usually requires quite a bit of work up front.

Is PaidViewpoint worth it?
- YES if you’re sick of other survey sites (e.g. Survey Junkie, Swagbucks) where you have to qualify for each survey. PaidViewpoint never screens you out of surveys they offer you.
- YES if you’re looking for a survey site you can use anonymously.
- Other than that, NO, it’s not worth it. We’ve read a few too many complaints about surveys drying up when you get close to $15, and it takes a long time to get to that point anyway since the surveys are so infrequent.

Your PaidViewpoint Review
Have you tried PaidViewpoint?
Please consider leaving a review below – good or bad – doesn’t matter so long as it’s helpful to our visitors. Thanks for your support!
Paidviewpoint is a good survey site, but there should other payment methods like Skrill, Airtm, and so on. Using of PayPal alone can’t help because PayPal is not working in all countries. A positive and effective change to the payment method will be much appreciated.

My Trait Score as of today… 1100
Total earnings as of today… $80.64
1. Always answer trait surveys the same unless the question has a timeframe ie.. have you bought or researched these .. in the last 6 months… Some things your use or buy or are planning for change, I answer honestly & I don’t have to worry about , ” did I put that last time?” ( common sense )
2. I have noticed when my earnings get close to 15.00 & over the surveys do slow down in frequency. After I pay out in a day or so I get a text & login to find 3,4 or 5 in a row sometimes.
my earnings today are $24.35, I was going to wait until I hit $25 , but the surveys are days apart so going to cash out after I enter this review, !
3. I have been paid $4 and very surprised, several surveys have been the same product & 1 was the exact same. Personal care, shampoo, face products, laundry & cleaning brands etc.
I sometimes keep the website on a chromepage in my phone & when my day is slow or I am enjoying a cuppa coffee( morning) I open the site & manytimes there is 1 survey & upon finishing 3 or 4 more surveys open after each ends…maybe I am beating others to it? they do say many are in limited number… I enjoy it for so little time I spend… So far $80.00 free ! WHERE DO YOU GET MONEY TODAY FOR SO LITTLE TIME & YOUR MAKING BRANDS YOU PROBABLY USE SOLD WITH YOUR VIEWS TAKEN IN MIND! you can tap on the address below in last box on the left to try PVP Surveys…( If the administrator allows) Windshadow
Got to my first 15 payout only a few weeks on the Paid Viewpoint site…………
Hi Niall
I have done surveys with Paidviewpoint for quite a while. The reliability and fairness with Paidviewpoint makes it one of the better survey sites. Paidviewpoint let’s you know about the survey before you start it and also approximately how long it will take to finish. The payout is very adequate, at $15 or even $10 depending on your trait score and how long you have been with Paidviewpoint. You never have to worry about disqualification, like all other survey sites. Also, there is no deception with Paidviewpoint either. They have a good Support Team and you can be paid by quickly through PayPal. I give Paidviewpoint a 5 STAR rating. Many other survey sites offer more surveys, but many do not pay the money promised, they let you complete the survey, and then disqualify you; and also they are untruthful about how much time a survey will take, etc. this is never the case with Paidviewpoint.
Two people just completed registration use my link but up to now I have not recieved $50 dollars.
I wonder what people are expecting with filling out surveys. Paidviewpoint is one of the best survey sites out there. I have never experienced “drying up” when I get close to the threshold. I average $15 to $20 per month. My Trait score is 10000, so maybe that is why I’m receiving many surveys. Compare to the survey sites that were recommended here, I think PV is a much better site! I belong to many of those sites including Prizerebel. Too many DQs. I use PV along with Prolific to make $100 a month. Prolific is the best survey site out there. You never get DQed there either!
Thanks for sharing your experience, Rene.
Prolific is on our list of sites to review soon. Sounds like you’re earning $80 to $85 per month from that site alone. About how many hours does it take you to do that?
Please dry survey for over two months now, no survey, I have been participating for over three years now.
I actually experienced the survey dry-up with them. Even so, I wasn’t ready to give up on PaidViewpoint because I love the site. There’s… sort of a fix to this. What I basically did was contact them through e-mail and explained my problem. They will basically tell you that they don’t have control over how frequent or how many surveys you receive. But guess what? After my little complaint, surveys started raining daily. What are the odds, huh? I even got to boost my TraitScore again. I reached the top 10% and you actually do get paid a bit more for each answer.
If anyone else is having a dry-up, just write them a little message saying that you’re not happy with your participation and… voila! You’re back in the game.
Nice one, thanks for that tip, Alex!
PaidViewPoint has started kicking me off surveys in the middle, with an annoying cartoon of a bunch of pigeons that say the early birds got there first. Surveys that actually show up in my email are either too late or I make a couple pennies. Pennies, not dollars. I will NEVER reach the $15.00 payout and it has been a year.
Now they pay in pigeon cartoons.
I reached the $15 & $10 payout. I’m now working toward the $5 payout. I started using PaidViewPoint Sep 2022.
I’ve been register to this Survey site for almost 3 weeks and what I only received were trait score which is good for $.o3 only. And worse, there are days that I don’t receive any trait survey. I only answer research survey once, when I register to the site. I also didn’t receive email when survey is available. Maybe it will take 1 yr before I reach $15 (lol).
Hey Dane,
Thanks for sharing your experience. Yeah, PaidViewpoint ain’t great overall. I hope you don’t waste any more time on it!
