What is Opinion Outpost?
Opinion Outpost is an online survey site that offers you the chance to earn cash through completing surveys, watching ads, and testing products.
You can sign up for free and start earning by clicking the link for your specific country below:
There is no mobile app but you can take surveys on both tablets and mobile by going to the main site in your browser.
This way of making money online is known as GetPaidTo.
How does Opinion Outpost work?
Opinion Outpost works with businesses to help them gain marketing and product development insights. They do this by offering you surveys, polls, and focus groups designed to get your opinion. In exchange, you get offered cash rewards (Amazon, Visa, PayPal, etc).
Here’s how Opinion Outpost describes it…
Each survey you take gives you a certain number of “Opinion Points”. You then redeem these points for cash or eCards.
Opinion Outpost claims 350,000 of its users are earning up to 50 points per survey…
Opinion Outpost also claims that the average survey pays 10 points and that it’s possible to complete surveys that offer anything up to 250 points…
The platform also works on a membership tier system. You advance tiers by completing more surveys and adding more detail to your personal profile.
There are five levels (called Badges):
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond.
Unlocking the top status – Diamond – requires completing 100% of your profile and taking 50 surveys, at least one in four consecutive weeks.
As your levels increase, you will be rewarded with additional achievement points. You can find them on your survey history page. This will show as “community achievement”.
Keep in mind that you might drop down a level if you don’t maintain regular activity.
Is Opinion Outpost legit or a scam?
Opinion Outpost is definitely legit. The platform is owned by Dynata LLC, a market research company operating out of Texas, US. Dynata LLC owns other decent survey sites, such as OneOpinion, Vindale Research and QuickThoughts.
According to Opinion Outpost themselves, they have around 2 million users worldwide.
OpinionOutpost scores a solid 4.3 on Trustpilot…
However, parent company Dynata LLC has a less impressive score on the Better Business Bureau…
However, many Opinion Outpost’s users themselves report the platform being legit.
Is Opinion Outpost safe?
Opinion Outpost is safe. To redeem rewards they use mobile verification. The platform will send you a six digit code to make sure it’s you every time you cash out.
Opinion Outpost claims information will be kept private between you and clients. The platform uses a secure online portal to do this.
You can find more information on security measures via their help section.

Many users report low earnings compared to the time required to complete a survey. The number of surveys available is also said to reduce after the first couple of weeks.
One Reddit user claims being given a few surveys after signing up only to have their account frozen before cashing out. There are also reports of attempting surveys and not qualifying.
Opinion Outpost will only tell you the duration and payout of each survey in their direct emails. You will not be able to see this information by clicking through via the main site.

Opinion Outpost Hacks
I spent some time searching for and testing Opinion Outpost hacks to help you make more money.
Here is the list of Opinion Outpost hacks:
- Completing your profile as much as possible can give you access to more surveys and increase potential earnings, according to their website.
- One Reddit user also suggests cashing out as soon as you reach $10 in earnings, so you don’t have much money stuck in your account if it gets suspended.

Opinion Outpost Complaints
Main complaints about Opinion Outpost include:
- Random account suspensions
- Not qualifying for surveys
- Poor number of surveys months after sign-up
- Low survey payouts
Similar to some other survey sites, there are also complaints about the lack of transparency when it comes to target demographics in available surveys.
Is Opinion Outpost worth it?
Opinion Outpost isn’t worth it if you’re looking to earn a living working online. (There are much better options for that.)
Based on my research, the time it takes to do surveys, coupled with low pay, makes it a poor choice.
A possible pro is the wide number of options available to redeem rewards, but questions over qualifying could negate this.
I’d give this site a 1.8 rating overall.

Other ways to make money online
There are many other ways to make money online, to work from home or anywhere in the world.
Opinion Outpost is the worst survey site out there. I’ve used it for 2 years now and at first I was able to collect about $50.00 after several months and countless hours taking very redundant surveys. I was able to cash out and used the $50.00 on the “reward” I chose, which was Target Stores.
After another YEAR of taking countless surveys, I now have 610 “points” which I could cash in for about $60.00 worth of Target Store merchandise, or Amazon, etc.
For some reason I have been unable to “collect my rewards” and I’ve repeatedly gotten bogus replies from their “help desk”
In my opinion, this site is run by Bots, because no matter how I try to explain the problem I’m having their response is always the same thing, but NOT ADDRESSING what my problem is. They don’t seem to have a real person working there.
In my honest OPINION of OPINION OUTPOST, I say it’s not worth your time at all. Worst possible support team in the world and the “rewards” for countless hours of boring surveys, IS NOT WORTH IT! Avoid this website at all costs!
The new thing is now their email address is non existant. I use to email them but now it bounces back and on their website there is no email to contact anymore. That is something new within the past few weeks. I mean when covid hit they got rid of their phoneline for help and now their email address. That is way too fishy for my comfort zone
also if you ask a question and they respond- it’s usually a response with a question and then they send a survey at how well they answered your question. I mean what? they never even answered the question. they are all about getting great cs surveys about their service then they are about actually helping anyone
Getting scammy vibes from Opinion Outpost. They think they are slick. So I signed up a couple of weeks ago, then had to wait about another week after that for a post card with a alpha-numeric code on it to arrive. They wanted to confirm my address before I could be allowed to take any surveys on my account. So I received the postcard and went to start taking surveys today. First survey, I spent between 5-10 minutes answering questions just for them to tell me that I did not qualify for the survey. So so my question is what was I doing the last 10 minutes, because right before you start answering questions there is a button you click on that says “START SURVEY”. So silly me, thought I was already taking a survey. Fine, so I moved on to the next survey, the exact thing happened again. Now I am hip to them, they get you to answer a gaggle of questions for FREE, waste your time then tell you that you do not qualify for the survey but after 10 minutes of answering questions you feel like you just took a survey, except you are not getting paid for it. Very sneaky of them, I am done with this site.
There is something they do now but no warning to their members. They decided to send postcards wit codes to your address to make sure you are legit. No warning. Instead they block your account until you get the postacard.
When I emailed them about it they said it’s a new police. gee, op, thanks for the #$%@^*& warning
I have only been using Opinion Outpost for a few days. I have not tried to cash out yet. The bummer is I spent time doing a survey and then I didn’t “meet the requirements”, so I did not get any points. I would not have minded so much except I had spent about 30 minutes. TOTAL WASTED TIME!
I asked them to change my phone number. Gave my details as requested to then get investigated and blocked. Now they won’t give me the account back and I had £5 worth of points on there. I hardly used it.
I have been trying unsuccessfully for two weeks to redeem my first 100 points. I keep receiving the same message that new accounts are under review, which review takes up to 72 hours. So right out of the gate in their first 30 days, I am a very unsatisfied participant. I have reached out to them with my issue and have received no response.
I loved OP but yesterday I got a survey that really bothered me. They are the ones who made the survey for the compnay that hired them but shame on thgem for such a question
get this- the question was like this- if you could invent anything what would it be and give details.
umm, right. so I give them my details of something I’d like to invent so they could steal it and make it. Bull
I was told I violated the terms of agreement via poor attention or poor quality answers just before I had enough points for my first payout. They wouldn’t elaborate and just kept telling me that I violated the terms. I was attentive and did my best to answer correctly. I think they did it to get out of paying. I’ve read some survey sites do that. They cut loose random people to lower the amount of payouts they have to give. So some people might have a fine time with them, but you never know when they will cut you loose. Random mass account closures. Pretty unscrupulous and their customer service doesn’t give a rat’s fart.
They are very picky. You have to answer the question slowly. if you answer too fast then they figure you are not paying attention and just going fast to get your points. If you answer faster than you think they like just wait a minute or two to submit that page of answers
50 points! That is such bull! It’s more like 30 points now- 30 cents. they have went down on their point system. Smallest is 3 points and once a few times a year if you are lucky it’s 50 points ($5)
the newest thing with them the past 2 months now is you have limit amount of surveys. So don’t think “I will do them on the weekend when I have time” because they seem to allow about 5 surveys a day more or less
I meant it’s more like 3 points not 30
They did that ever since covid hit because money is tight. I did not like it either. they even made it harder to cash out. Used to be you can cash out with any amount over $5. But now they only allow you to cash out for paypal $20 at a time and the next day you can cash out $20 again but only if it’s over 24 hours later. what a pain when you do a survey that pays you over $50 you have to cash out a little each day. I mean wth
Will,
I just got a priority package in the mail from Opinion Outpost. In it was a check for $2,350.00. I am told to deposit the check in my bank, wait for the funds to clear, then go out to 4 stores and buy 4 gift cards each for $500. then fill out a survey on my purchases. $2,000 for the 4 gift cards, $300 for my salary and $50 left over. Doesn’t tell me what to do with the gift cards. Is this for real? Doesn’t seem like much to do for $300. Do I keep the gift cards? What do you think ? Is this for real ? Have you encountered anything like this?
Please HELP !!
Thank You, John Peterson
Hey John. This sounds suspicious to me. But really you should be asking Opinion Outpost about it. Contact their customer support directly.
They do not send checks and if they do the largest they will send out is $20 and now I am not sure they have sent checks in he past few years. Op is from connecticut in case you ever get a check again
OpinionOutpost is a waste of time. Go to survey junkie.. anywhere but here.
When I tried logging into my account and could not get any surveys after I had completed my profile. Makes me wonder if my information was compromised in some way because I had sent an email to customer support and asked why I could not log and what was the issue. Then I had received the news I tried signing up twice under the same email and name? WTF. This is where it really had me puzzled as to why this would happen. I do not believe this nonsense….why the hell would anyone use the same email and name? I work full time and get paid decent hourly. I am taking these surveys to keep myself from spending money and it has worked.
People please go Branded Surveys or survey junkie. They are not out to get your information.
becareful because if more than one account is open in your household you are breaking the rules. they can check your isp address to know. if you do more than 1 survey at a time then they flag your account. branded surveys is hardly worth anyoe time and survey junkie. i hate sites to “do offers”
