How does The Wholesale Formula help you make money?
The Wholesale Formula (TWF) is an online course that aims to teach you how to build an ecommerce business with Amazon FBA.
There are multiple strategies you can use for selling on Amazon, and The Wholesale Formula teaches you specifically about Amazon wholesale. This is when you buy products in bulk, get those products shipped to Amazon’s FBA warehouses, then resell them on Amazon.com.
As stated on the sales page…
The Wholesale Formula was created to help you leverage big brands through the power of wholesale […] to easily replicate what’s already working on Amazon.
This unique system allows you to support small mom and pop shops, so that you become the Robin Hood of Wealth and still profit at the same time, which is unlike most courses out there that promote small business competition, not cooperation.
Enrollment for TWF usually opens once per year, around January-February. That is the only time new students can sign up for the training.
Who is The Wholesale Formula for?
The Wholesale Formula sells itself as training for people from all walks of life.

Although I would agree that many people can make money from Amazon FBA with no previous experience, I don’t think that’s the easiest or most reliable way of doing so.
Even though this mostly goes for private labeling, it seems like the golden age of Amazon FBA has long ended. The competition for wholesale looks less intense, but it’s still there.

Do Dan Meadors and Dylan Frost have a good reputation?
For the most part, yes.
Dan and Dylan claim to have made over $30 million from their own Amazon FBA operations, starting with just $600 back in 2015.
It’s a big claim but I haven’t found any reason to doubt their story.
However, according to Dan and Dylan, starting with only $600 isn’t going to cut it nowadays…
[…] we suggest that a great minimum starting budget is around $2,000 for inventory. While we’ve had students succeed with less and we got started with less, we believe that a $2,000 budget gives you the flexibility to grow and scale your business more quickly.
While that may be too much money for some students, at least Dan and Dylan are upfront about it, which I appreciate.
Finally, Dan and Dylan also claim to have helped more than 5000 students. Apparently those students have made more than $1 billion in sales. I haven’t been able to verify that number, but with so many students, a well-regarded training program, and little criticism to be found online, I’m happy to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Are The Wholesale Formula students getting results?
It seems so.
Browse through the official Wholesale Formula webpages and you’ll find no shortage of student testimonials.
For example…
Even though the margins for Amazon businesses are usually in the range of 20-30%, it looks like most of the people behind the presented testimonials still earn big money.
Nearly all the success stories for TWF that I’ve seen mention the amount of money made from following the training. This makes me believe that the training seems to work well for most students who follow the training consistently.
How much does The Wholesale Formula cost?
For access to The Wholesale Formula training, there are two options:
- $2997 one-time
- 4 monthly payments of $874
The latter adds up to a total price of $3496.
You get lifetime access with either option.
Just keep in mind that you’ll need to put extra money aside for products that you would resell on Amazon. As mentioned earlier, TWF recommends a “minimum starting budget” of $2,000 for inventory.
The Wholesale Formula Discount?
I’ve checked all over for a discount or coupon code, but haven’t found one.
You’ll likely have to bear the full charge for access.
Refund Policy
According to the Partner Affiliate Guide for The Wholesale Formula, they offer a 30-day refund policy, but only for one-time payments…

I generally don’t support policies like this as I think it’s best the policy apply to everyone.
That said, I haven’t seen anyone reporting issues getting a refund on their purchase, so you can rest easy with this guarantee.
How is The Wholesale Formula structured?

I consider The Wholesale Formula to be comprehensive and practical, with step-by-step instructions.
All of the lessons are in video format, and come with transcripts, searchable subtitles, and worksheets. There are 52 lessons in the core training, and most are 10 minutes or less, so nice and concise.
While there is a search function within the training, one thing that annoyed me was the lack of a module or lesson list inside each lesson. It’s easy to navigate through the lessons sequentially, but to skip around you have to keep hitting the back button.
You also get various bonuses as a student of TWF, such as The Business Owners Playbook (which used to be Module 6), various webinar recordings, and the Resource Vault. The latter holds extra lessons that don’t fall under the core training, such as the basics of Amazon and its Seller Central.
Lastly, new students get access to a private Facebook group with other students starting the training at the same time. In there, they get help and support from each other and TWF coaches.
Once a student has graduated from the course, they have the option to subscribe to TWF Prime Membership. That gives them access to a more advanced group with more advanced support. The membership fee is a $9 one-time payment using a “promo code” which is shared after you graduate from the course.

A few things to be wary of regarding The Wholesale Formula…
- No refunds for monthly payments.
- Significant additional cost to implement the training.
- The training is only open once per year.

- The training presents a series of useful downloads, containing options like templates.
Should you join The Wholesale Formula?
From what I’ve seen, the vast majority of people who buy this course end up happy with their purchase.
So it seems to be a solid investment if you’re committed to building an Amazon wholesale business.
Just be aware that success with such training usually requires a significant amount of time, effort, and money. (This is true for all types of online business.)
That said, I don’t think this is an ideal time for starting an Amazon FBA business. Even though the competition for wholesale is smaller than for private label sellers, it still looks tough.
Because of that, if you’re not sure Amazon FBA is right for you, then I’d advise against buying The Wholesale Formula.
