What is WinTrillions?

WinTrillions is a website that lets you play popular lotteries around the world.

Depending on where you live, you’ll be able to access one of two versions of the site:

🇬🇧 wintrillions.co.uk – United Kingdom
🌍 wintrillions.com – Most other countries

The UK site lets you join a syndicate and an agent will purchase official lottery tickets on your behalf. The worldwide site (wintrillions.com) is different: there you can only bet on official lotteries.

In this review, I’ll mostly be focusing on WinTrillions.com, as that appears to be the more popular site and most likely what you want to hear about.

Best I can tell, the service has been online in one form or another since 2006.

Here’s how WinTrillions stacks up in our list of the best online lottery sites

How does WinTrillions work?

Online lottery sites come in two flavors:

  • Lottery agents
These sites have someone go into a store and buy physical lottery tickets on your behalf. Lotto Agent and theLotter work this way.
  • Lottery betting sites
These sites act as bookmakers and take your bets on the outcomes of popular lotteries around the world.

WinTrillions.co.uk acts as a lottery agent, but you can only play as part of a syndicate, as explained in this official video…

Meanwhile, WinTrillions.com acts as a lottery betting site…

Source: wintrillions.com

(From my research it looks like WinTrillions.com did also offer a lottery agent service in the past, but I see no indication that it does so currently.)

With the above in mind, playing the lottery at WinTrillions.com is similar to betting on sports, but instead of betting on which football team wins a big game, you’re betting that certain numbers will come up in your chosen lottery.

The more numbers you pick correctly at WinTrillions.com, the more money you win, just like in the official lottery.

🤔 But where does the prize money come from?

If you do win big, your prize money is covered by insurance.

Here’s the official word:

Source: wintrillions.com

In summary, here’s how the worldwide WinTrillions service works…

  • You sign up for free.
  • Choose to bet on one of 20+ lotteries from around the world.
  • Pick your lotto numbers and pay for your bet.
  • If your numbers come up, WinTrillions notifies you after the draw and you receive your winnings.

How much money can I win?

Player Winnings 10
unknown

First of all, you’re unlikely to win any money playing the lottery. (If your goal is to make money online, here are some better options.)

WinTrillions claims to produce regular lottery winners:

Source: wintrillions.com

I haven’t been able to confirm those numbers, but it’s not unusual for an online lottery site to keep details of their winning players private.

🏆 WinTrillions Winners

I only found two winner stories on the WinTrillions websites, such as this one:

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to verify any of those success stories via official news sources.

Is WinTrillions legit or a scam?

You might have landed on this page while searching for something like…

  • Is wintrillions legitimate?
  • Is wintrillions a scam?

Based on my research, WinTrillions is indeed a real and legal company.

It seems the site has been around since 2006 and was initially owned by a company called Ledonford Limited, registered in Cyprus.

WinTrillions.com was bought by Legacy Eight in 2017, along with LottoKings.com (reviewed here).

Legacy Eight operates under License No. 8048/JAZ and is authorized and regulated by the Government of Curacao, an island country in the Caribbean. You can verify this by clicking the Antillephone logo at the bottom of the Win Trillions website…

This means the government of Curacao keeps a watchful eye on WinTrillions.com to make sure all their operations are legal and above board.

Meanwhile, the license for WinTrillions.co.uk is somewhat unclear. You’ll see the following in the footer of the website:

Operating under Legacy Eight Curacao NV Sublicense number 8048/JAZ2016-007

But as you can see from the screenshot above, the .co.uk website is not listed as a “Registered Website” on the Antillephone license 🧐

As with every other lottery site I review, I signed up to WinTrillions myself and tried to use the service. I created an account and bet on the USA Mega Millions lottery.

Unfortunately, when I went to pay for that bet, an error message came up saying my account was blocked, and a few minutes later I received an email from WinTrillions with more info…

The “other accounts on our networks” most likely refer to LottoKings and BuyLottoOnline, two other lottery sites I’ve reviewed previously which have ownership links with WT.

I replied to the above email and also sent a support request via the “live chat” feature on WinTrillions.com. It took them 11 days to reply to me (!) and when they did they requested that I provide them with my ID, a recent utility bill, and verification of the bank card I tried to use.

Given their extremely slow response rate, and the fact that I encountered no such issues with other online lottery sites, I lost all confidence in the WinTrillions service.

By the way, I’ve since checked the “live chat” on the website multiple times and I’ve never been able to chat to anyone live. Not even during their specified office hours.

(At the same time, they continue to send me automated discount and special offer emails 🙄)

With all that taken into consideration, I don’t consider WinTrillions to be a scam – after all, they never did take my money – but I definitely would not recommend the service.

It’s also a bit of a concern that they have no real presence on sites like Trustpilot or BBB.org.

So is WinTrillions safe?

You can confirm that WinTrillions.com is secured by 256-bit SSL encryption by clicking the GoDaddy verification icon in the site footer. You’ll see something like this…

However, when I clicked the same icon at the bottom of the WinTrillions.co.uk site, I saw a verification for a different website…

Given that, I’m inclined to consider WinTrillions.com as safe, but I’m wary of WinTrillions.co.uk.

Overall, I’ve seen very few complaints about WinTrillions since 2018, but I feel more comfortable using Multilotto (reviewed here) to bet on lotteries. That site simply checks more boxes for me, and I personally had a much better experience using their service.

What lotteries can I play?

You can bet on 20+ lotteries from around the world via WinTrillions.com.

The most popular include:

USA Mega Millions

  • Jackpot usually more than $100 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.537 billion in 2018.

USA Powerball

  • Jackpot is usually more than $30 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.586 billion in 2016.

Italy SuperEnalotto

  • Jackpot is usually more than €40 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €209 million in 2019.

EuroJackpot

  • Jackpot is usually more than €20 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €90 million. It has been won several times.

EuroMillions

  • Jackpot is usually more than €40 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €190 million. It has been won several times.

Does WinTrillions work in my country?

Countries Available

Restricted in several: USA, Australia, etc. (more info)

WinTrillions.com state on their website:

Anyone can use the WinTrillions service to play any lottery in the world, regardless of their citizenship or county of residence.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I have been able to confirm that WinTrillions is NOT available for players living in Australia 🇦🇺 or the USA 🇺🇸

The site is probably inaccessible from other countries as well, but I couldn’t find a list of prohibited countries.

If the site is blocked in your country, you’ll see a message like this:

Fees and Commissions

Fees 13
very high

You must pay a fee to play a lottery via WinTrillions.com.

Compared to buying a single ticket direct from a store yourself, I calculated that buying it from the worldwide WinTrillions site will cost you approximately 243% more.

That fee is on the high end compared to other online lottery sites, and even more expensive when you consider that WinTrillions.com is a lottery betting site; they don’t actually go and buy a real ticket on your behalf.

Meanwhile, Multilotto provides the same lottery betting service for almost half the price, and sites like theLotter buy you a real lottery ticket at a more reasonable cost…

Price of Tickets for 5 Popular Lotteries

5-Ticket TotalMark-up MultipleMark-up Percentage
Official Price9.501.000%
Multilotto15.151.5959%
Jackpot.com16.741.7676%

LottoKings27.292.87187%
BuyLottoOnline32.113.38238%
WinTrillions32.613.43243%

On the plus side, WinTrillions does not charge you any fee or commission on your winnings…

Source: wintrillions.com

But they might charge you a $10 “administration fee” to cancel a subscription…

Source: WinTrillions Terms and Conditions

Oh and they’ll subtract €5 per month from your balance if you leave your account inactive for a year…

Source: WinTrillions Terms and Conditions

And it seems they pay your winnings in Euros regardless of what currency you used to place your bet, which may leave you on the hook for currency exchange fees…

Source: WinTrillions Terms and Conditions

They also allude to fees on withdrawals in the Terms and Conditions, but don’t specify what those fees might be 😕

All that considered, WinTrillions isn’t one of the best lottery sites I’ve seen when it comes to fees and commissions.

WinTrillions Promo Codes, Deals, Discounts

I’ve seen several promo codes for WinTrillions listed on other websites. I tried them all but none worked.

But here are some legit ways you can save money on WinTrillions…

🥳 Daily Deals

Check out the WinTrillions Daily Deals page and you’ll see offers like these…

📧 Email Discounts

Here is the welcome offer I received via email after I created my WT account…

I’ve received a few similar offers since signing up.

Like this one for 75% off Mega Millions and Powerball…

💲 Subscription Deals

You’ll see an option to sign up for subscription deals when playing a lottery. This can be a way to save money if you’re a regular lottery player.

🤝 Syndicates

Join a lottery syndicate on WinTrillions and you increase your chances to win, though the actual cost for your entry could be higher or lower depending on the setup.

Check the syndicates page here.

(As mentioned earlier, WinTrillions.co.uk works differently to WinTrillions.com. On the former, you can only play lotteries by joining a syndicate.)

🎉 Deals of the Day

I checked the Deals of the Day page while putting together this review and saw these offers:

👥 Refer a Friend

According to this page, you can play USA Mega Millions for free on WinTrillions.com if you refer a friend to sign up…

🏆 VIP Loyalty Program

You’ll find all the info about the VIP program here.

In brief:

Every time you play at WinTrillions you’ll earn VIP Points. You receive 1 VIP Loyalty Point for every US$ 2.00 you spend. VIP points can be redeemed for discounts and free plays.

Payments and Withdrawals

Payment Options 14
poor

WinTrillions.com stands out from the other lottery sites I’ve reviewed in that I couldn’t find ANY detailed information on their website about methods for withdrawal or payment of funds.

Similar sites usually have a dedicated banking page where you can see clearly what payment and withdrawal methods they accept.

However, all I see on WinTrillions is this list of logos at the bottom of the site, below the words “we accept”…

It’s unclear if those methods are accepted for deposits or withdrawals (or both).

Digging through their Terms and Conditions, I also found some wording that gave me pause. For example:

Sounds like:

  • You may be charged an unspecified fee for withdrawing your winnings.
  • If you win big your withdrawals will be limited.
  • You’ll get paid in Euros regardless of what currency you deposited and played with.

Sorry to say, but these kinds of conditions don’t compare at all favorably to other online lottery sites.

WinTrillions Sign Up

The sign-up process for Win Trillions is fairly straightforward.

You’ll be asked to provide your name, email, date of birth, address and phone number.

If you don’t provide accurate information here you may have problems with payments and/or withdrawals.

WinTrillions Apps

Sorry, but there is no mobile app for WinTrillions.

It looks like they did have apps for iOS and Android in the past, but I found neither listed currently on the Apple or Google Play app stores.

If you want to use WinTrillions on your iOS or Android device, navigate to the wintrillions.com website in your browser.

LottoKings vs WinTrillion

Both these sites are owned by the same company – Legacy Eight Curacao N.V. – and you’ll notice many similarities between them.

Ultimately, they both offer pretty much the same service with minor differences, though my experience using LottoKings was a bit better.

WinTrillions does tend to charge a higher fee for placing bets on the same lotteries.

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend using either site when there is a better alternative like Multilotto (reviewed here) available.

WinTrillions Complaints

Up until WinTrillions changed ownership in 2017, there were quite a few complaints online about players being charged for unwanted subscriptions.

Thankfully, those issues seem to have been cleaned up.

However, my research revealed some legit complaints with LottoKings nowadays…

  • Poor Customer Service
I contacted WT’s customer service twice regarding issues with my account, and never heard back. I’ve also yet to see their “live chat” functioning as an actual live chat, even during their stated office hours.
  • High Fees
Per our research, all online lottery sites have fairly high fees compared to playing the lottery yourself offline. But the fees I’ve seen at WinTrillions are even higher than most of their competitors.
  • All Payments in Euros
No matter what currency you deposit or play with on WinTrillions.com, you will apparently only be paid winnings in Euros. If that’s not the currency you typically use, you’ll probably be on the hook to pay exchange fees.
  • Lack of Transparency
WinTrillions fails to clearly list what payment and withdrawal methods they accept on a public page of their site. It’s also unclear what countries the site is restricted in. And I was unable to verify the licensing for WinTrillions.co.uk.

I might have been willing to overlook those issues if there weren’t better alternatives available. However, Multilotto offers pretty much the same service as WinTrillions.com without the drawbacks.

Is WinTrillions worth it?

Using sites like WinTrillions isn’t the best idea if your goal is to earn a living online. (There are much better options for that.)

But playing online lottery can be fun if you use the right sites and don’t get carried away.

Pros and Cons of WinTrillions.com

  • Bet on all the big lotteries
  • Licensed and regulated
  • Decent bonuses and special offers
  • Poor customer service
  • High fees
  • Can’t buy official lottery tickets
  • Lack of transparency
  • All withdrawals in Euros
  • Restricted in several countries
  • No mobile apps

Unfortunately, I can’t in good conscience recommend WinTrillions when there are better online lottery sites available.

  1. I will not recommend the service. First you are betting not buying a ticket. Meaning that even if you are the only one who matched the number (let take a major lottery like powerbal) you aren’t guaranteed the full amount because you didn’t paid for the full amount of what they call shares on the bet. Which mean even you were the only bettor who won. You will not be getting the whole Jackpot but just a fraction. Regular lotteries if you purchase a ticket and win then you will get the whole Jackpot. Not with them. And additionally, let say such lottery (Powerball as example) has only one winner doesn’t mean thru Wintrillions will be the same. The number of winners thru the local lottery not necessarily will be same as thru Wintrillions. Meaning that if Powerball in USA only one person won but in Wintrillions might be the case that 300 people won. And based on the share concept (which if you don’t read carefully will confuse you) you might be just getting 50cents (hypothetically speaking). My advice find a different provider.
