What is Lotto Agent?

Lotto Agent is a popular and user friendly online lottery agent. Basically, it’s a website (and app) that lets you play more than 30 different lotteries around the world.

You might also hear the company referred to as Agent Lotto, since their web address is AgentLotto.com.

The company started in 2012 and report they have since paid out more than $55 million in prizes to over 5 million winners worldwide.

You can sign up and play their offered lotteries from most countries, with the notable exception of the USA 🇺🇸

How does Lotto Agent work?

The company explains its service as a 4-step process:

To elaborate a little, here’s how it works:

• Sign up to Lotto Agent for free.
• Choose to play one of the 30+ lotteries from around the world.
• Pick your numbers and pay for your ticket.
• A representative of Lotto Agent will then go buy a real ticket using your numbers and send you a scanned copy of the ticket as proof.
• If your ticket is a winner, Lotto Agent notifies you after the draw (via email) and deposits the winnings in your account. If you win a big jackpot, they may need to fly you to the lottery country to collect your winnings.

How much money can I win?

First of all, you’re unlikely to win any money playing the lottery. (If your goal is to make money online, here are some better options.)

However, Lotto Agent seems to produce regular lottery winners – with a reported $55+ million in prizes paid out for more than 5 million winnings since 2012.

🏆 Lotto Agent Winners

I haven’t been able to find any reports of people winning BIG on the lottery via Lotto Agent. 

But there is a scrolling update of winners displayed on the site homepage, and from there you can see that people are regularly winning $100 to $1000 prizes via the site.

Is Lotto Agent legit or a scam?

While you might find some minor complaints about Lotto Agent (see below), my research reveals it to be one of the most reputable and trusted ways to play the lottery online.

As of this writing, it has received more than 2000 reviews on Trustpilot and maintains an overall “excellent” rating…

The service is owned and operated by a company called Agento Ltd, which is registered in Belize (company number 166590). You can verify for yourself that they’re an officially registered company here.

Lotto Agent is licensed and regulated by the Government of Curacao, an island country in the Caribbean. You can verify this by clicking the Gaming Curacao logo at the bottom of the LA website…

This means the government of Curacao keeps a watchful eye on Lotto Agent to make sure all their operations are legal and above board.

While preparing this review, we personally signed up for an account at Lotto Agent and bought tickets for the USA MEGA Millions and EuroMillions lotteries.

Within an hour, they had bought and scanned the first ticket…

And we received a scan of the second ticket the next day (still 48 hours before the draw)…

Unfortunately, neither ticket didn’t prove to be a winner, but I was pleased with the speed and legitimacy of the service 👍

So is Lotto Agent safe?

Having bought tickets via Lotto Agent ourselves (see above) and researched the company extensively, I am convinced that it is a safe and secure way to play the lottery online.

For five primary reasons:

• Lotto Agent is licensed and regulated by the Government of Curacao.
• Their website uses Comodo 256-bit SSL encryption to protect your transactions.
• McAfee WebAdvisor confirms that the LA website is safe:

• They send you a scan of your tickets after buying them on your behalf.
• Lotto Agent has been in operation since 2012 and the vast majority of user reviews are positive.

What lotteries can I play?

You can play 30+ lotteries from around the world via AgentLotto.com. The most popular include:

USA Mega Millions

• Jackpot usually more than $100 million.
• The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.537 billion in 2018.

USA Powerball

• Jackpot is usually more than $30 million.
• The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.586 billion in 2016.

Italy SuperEnalotto

• Jackpot is usually more than €40 million.

Does Lotto Agent work in my country?

While you cannot use Lotto Agent if you’re in Australia, you can play several Australian lotteries via the site, such as:

Fees and Commissions

You must pay a fee to play a lottery via Lotto Agent. Compared to buying a single ticket direct from a store yourself, I calculated that buying it from Lotto Agent will cost you approximately 145% more.

That fee is about average compared to other online lottery sites…

Price of Tickets for 5 Popular Lotteries

Keep in mind that when you buy a ticket via Lotto Agent, you’re paying for two things:

• The ticket itself.
• Someone at Lotto Agent to go to a store, buy the ticket on your behalf, then scan it into your account.

That’s why it’s more expensive to buy a ticket via Lotto Agent than it would be for you to go into a store and buy it yourself.

Of course, tickets for some lotteries can only be bought in specific countries. But Lotto Agent has offices in several countries, so they can legally buy tickets for you.

It’s important to note that Lotto Agent does not charge you any fee or commission beyond this initial fee.

So even if you win a $30 million jackpot via Lotto Agent, you won’t have to pay them anything extra. Here’s the official word:

As you can see, if you’re a frequent lottery player, you can get up to a 10% discount using the Multiple Draw option, or every 10th ticket free with a Subscription.

📧 Email Promo Codes

Keep an eye on your email notifications after you sign up for LA. I received a 20% discount code a few hours after signing up.

And they apparently send out discount codes to their customers via email regularly…

🤝 Syndicates

A syndicate is a group buy, where you team up with other lottery players, buy a load of tickets together, then split any winnings.

Lotto Agent explains:

A syndicate is the easiest way to increase winning odds and save a lot of money. It’s a group of people who collectively make a large number of lottery bets, sharing all the costs and, therefore, sharing all the winnings, which are added up after the draw.

You don’t need to recruit other players to form a syndicate. Lotto Agent already has syndicates set up for each major lottery and you can choose to join.

Payments and Withdrawals

Lotto Agent has an impressive list of withdrawal and payment methods.

As of this writing, they offer 14 ways to pay for lottery tickets (eg. Visa, MasterCard, Skrill), and 6 ways to withdraw your winnings (eg. Bank transfer, Visa, Skrill).

One thing to be aware of, via Lotto Agent’s customer support service:

According to the AML policy, to withdraw winnings, you can only use the means of payment with which you paid for the winning ticket.

Lotto Agent Sign Up

While researching this review, I tried signing up for an account and asked a friend to do likewise.

The basic sign-up is simple enough; it only takes a minute to fill out the form and confirm your email address:

However, when I tried to play a lottery via Lotto Agent I was asked to provide lots of personal and financial information before I could even buy a ticket, including:

• Photo of my passport
• A selfie
• Proof of address (eg. a bank statement or utility bill)
• Proof of payment method (eg. a photo of my credit card)

I can understand and appreciate a lottery site requiring this level of validation before you collect winnings, but I was surprised to be subjected to it before buying a ticket.

I had no such problems with theLotter (reviewed here).

That said, my friend didn’t encounter any of those problems. She was able to buy tickets for USA Megabucks and EuroMillions without any of the validation requirements I was subjected to.

Taking into account that I’ve seen few other reports of such issues, I’m inclined to believe my experience was exceptional, and that most people have no problem signing up and buying lottery tickets via Lotto Agent.

Lotto Agent Apps

We signed up for Lotto Agent and bought tickets via their website, but you can also use the service via their Android mobile app.

(There’s no iPhone app, sorry!)

📱 Lotto Agent Android App

This one is strange because it’s not on the official Google Play store.

Instead, you have to download it from the LA website and install it manually on your Android device.

I don’t know why the app isn’t available through the official Google Play store, but it’s a bit of a red flag that it’s not.

I recommend using the service via agentlotto.com instead. You can do this via the browser on your Android device.

Lotto Agent Customer Support

The thing about Lotto Agent that users seem to praise most is their great customer service.

I’ve seen dozens of customer reviews praising their experience with Lotto Agent customer support, and when I tried out the online chat myself I barely had to wait before getting a helpful reply from an agent.

Lotto Agent Complaints

The vast majority of reviews I’ve seen for Lotto Agent are positive.

However, here are some common complaints I’ve seen about the company:

• High Fees
  Buying a ticket via LA is much more expensive than going into a store and buying a ticket yourself. But this is true for all online lottery sites. Per our research, Lotto Agent’s fees are fairly standard compared to similar sites.
• Restricted in Several Countries
  This won’t matter to many of you, but if you’re living in the restricted countries listed above, then you won’t be able to use agentlotto.com at all.

I don’t consider either of those complaints to be a deal-breaker for Lotto Agent.

Overall it’s a solid service if you’re in the right country.

Is Lotto Agent worth it?

Using these kinds of sites isn’t the best idea if your goal is to earn a living online. (There are much better options for that.)

But playing online lottery can be fun if you use the right sites and don’t get carried away.

Pros and Cons

Overall, I find Lotto Agent to be one of the best online lottery sites. I happily recommend it to friends and family.

In particular I love their customer service and that you can buy a single lottery ticket if you want to (some sites force you to buy multiple at a time).

It’s just a pity that it’s restricted in so many countries!
