What is Jackpot.com?

Jackpot.com is a website that lets you bet on popular lotteries around the world.

Depending on where you live, you’ll be able to access one of four versions of the site:

🇬🇧 uk.jackpot.com – United Kingdom
🇮🇪 www.jackpot.ie – Ireland
🇸🇪 se.jackpot.com – Sweden
🌍 www.jackpot.com – Most other countries

Best I can tell, the service has been online since 2016.

You can sign up to Jackpot.com and bet on lotteries from most countries, with some notable exceptions (see below).

Here’s how it stacks up in our list of the best online lottery sites

How does Jackpot.com work?

The key thing to note is that Jackpot.com is NOT a lottery operator (with one small exception).

Whereas sites like theLotter and Lotto Agent are lottery agents that buy official lottery tickets on your behalf, Jackpot.com functions as a bookmaker and takes your bet on the outcome of popular lotteries around the world.

So playing the lottery with jackpot com is similar to betting on sports, but instead of betting on which football team wins a big game, you’re betting that certain numbers will come up in your chosen lottery.

The more numbers you pick correctly on Jackpot.com, the more money you win, just like in the official lottery.

Here’s the official word:

The actual experience of playing a lottery via Jackpot com is pretty much the same as playing an official online lottery. The interface is similar and you stand to win the same prize money.

🤔 But where does the prize money come from?

That’s exactly what I was wondering when I began my research!

It turns out that your winnings on Jackpot.com are covered by insurance…

With all that in mind, here’s how Jackpot.com works…

  • You sign up for free.
  • Choose to bet on one of 30+ lotteries from around the world.
  • Pick your lotto numbers and pay for your bet.
  • If your numbers come up, Jackpot.com notifies you after the draw and you will receive your winnings after verifying your identity.

Here’s an official video showing how it works:

⚠️ There is one exception…

If you are using the UK version of the website, Jackpot.com does offer to buy you official EuroMillions lottery tickets…

So for this one particular lottery (EuroMillions) in one particular jurisdiction (UK), Jackpot.com does act as a lottery agent.

If you want to play any other lottery on the site or you’re located outside the UK, you will always be betting on the lottery rather than buying an official ticket.

(To always buy official tickets, try theLotter or Lotto Agent instead.)

How much money can I win?

Player Winnings 10
unknown

First of all, you’re unlikely to win any money playing the lottery. (If your goal is to make money online, here are some better options.)

I haven’t seen Jackpot.com reporting how much money they’ve paid out to winners in total.

But they claim your odds of winning on the site are the same as if you bought an old-fashioned ticket:

🏆 Jackpot.com Winners

You’ll find stories of a handful of big winners on the Jackpot.com blog.

I was able to verify the story of Valentin Zafirov winning €248,000 on EuroMillions via Jackpot.com in March 2017…

Maria Dolores from Malta reportedly won €97,000 via her EuroMillions subscription in August of 2018. I couldn’t find any third-party verification of this win, but this video put out by Jackpot.com looks legit…

Is Jackpot.com legit or a scam?

Reputation 11
average
Years in Operation

Licensed? 12
yes

Based on my research, Jackpot.com seems to be a legit lottery betting service and not a scam.

They have numerous licenses for their operation…

If you are using the site outside of the UK, Sweden, and Ireland, the Malta Gaming License is the one that applies to you.

I’ve independently verified that all four licenses are legit.

So in essence you have four different governments keeping a watchful eye on Jackpot.com to make sure all their operations are legal and above board.

That said, my research uncovered some frequent complaints about Jackpot.com that have me hesitant to recommend it.

You can see that the site has only a 3-star average rating on Trustpilot:

By comparison, another lottery betting site called Multilotto (reviewed here) has much better ratings overall.

The main issues with Jackpot.com seem to be:

  • Strict verification process
While every legit online lottery site requires you to verify your identity before claiming winnings, this process seems to draw more complaints on Jackpot.com than any similar site I’ve reviewed.
  • Unwanted subscription payments
I’ve read several complaints of players being charged unknowingly for subscriptions on Jackpot.com. This may be down to user error, but I’ve seen the topic come up a bit too often for comfort.
  • Poor customer service
There are numerous reports of players contacting customer service and receiving no response at all. When there is a response, it seems players are often referred to the Jackpot.com terms and conditions and that’s all. (The exception here seems to be a customer service rep named Steve. Several customers have reported that he’s very helpful.)

I’ll emphasize again here that Jackpot.com is not a scam.

However, many people clearly have issues using their service.

Personally, I prefer to use Multilotto instead. It offers the same lottery betting service and is much better rated overall.

Is Jackpot com safe to use?

I checked the site myself and found that it’s protected by 256-bit encryption…

McAfee WebAdvisor also confirms that the website is safe:

Given that, I do consider Jackpot.com to be safe to use. Your payment details will be secure.

What lotteries can I play?

You can bet on 30+ lotteries from around the world via Jackpot.com.

The most popular include:

USA Mega Millions

  • Jackpot usually more than $100 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.537 billion in 2018.

USA Powerball

  • Jackpot is usually more than $30 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was $1.586 billion in 2016.

Italy SuperEnalotto

  • Jackpot is usually more than €40 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €209 million in 2019.

EuroJackpot

  • Jackpot is usually more than €20 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €90 million. It has been won several times.

EuroMillions

  • Jackpot is usually more than €40 million.
  • The biggest jackpot ever won was €190 million. It has been won several times.

Does Jackpot.com work in my country?

Jackpot.com is unfortunately restricted in quite a few countries. You can see a complete list of prohibited countries here.

Notable blocked countries include:

🇦🇺 Australia
🇧🇪 Belgium
🇨🇾 Cyprus
🇩🇰 Denmark
🇫🇷 France

🇭🇰 Hong Kong
🇮🇹 Italy
🇵🇱 Poland
🇷🇴 Romania

🇸🇬 Singapore
🇪🇸 Spain
🇹🇷 Turkey
🇺🇸 United States of America

If you try to use the site from the USA or another restricted country you will see a notice like this…

However, you should be able to use the site from most other countries 😊

If in doubt about whether you can play from your country, check the complete list of prohibited countries here.

🇬🇧 UK Jackpot

You can use the site from the United Kingdom via uk.jackpot.com.

🇮🇪 Ireland Jackpot.com

You can use the site from Ireland via www.jackpot.ie.

🇸🇪 Sweden Jackpot.com

You can use the site from Sweden via se.jackpot.com.

🌍 Worldwide Jackpot

From most other countries, you can use the site via www.jackpot.com.

Fees and Commissions

Fees 13
low

Jackpot.com does quite well here: compared to other ways of playing the lottery online, this is one of the cheapest sites I’ve found…

Price of Tickets for 5 Popular Lotteries

5-Ticket TotalMark-up MultipleMark-up Percentage
Official Price9.501.000%
Multilotto15.151.5959%
Jackpot.com16.741.7676%
theLotter23.102.43143%
Lotto Smile23.102.43143%
Lotto Agent23.282.45145%
LottoKings27.292.87187%
BuyLottoOnline32.113.38238%
WinTrillions32.613.43243%

As you can see above, betting on the lottery online via Jackpot com costs only 76% more than going into a shop and buying a regular lottery ticket.

You won’t be playing an official lottery with Jackpot.com, but you save money compared to most other sites while having the same odds of winning and the same prizes up for grabs.

Also, it’s important to note that Jackpot.com does not charge you any fee or commission on your winnings.

So even if you win a $30 million jackpot, you won’t have to pay them anything extra…

Jackpot.com Promo Codes, Discounts, Special Offers

Jackpot.com offers a few ways to play at a discounted rate…

💲 Subscriptions

If you’re a regular lottery player and you choose one of their subscription options, you can save quite a bit in the long run.

For example…

🏆 VIP Club

I’ve read that you automatically become part of the Jackpot.com VIP Club once you purchase a subscription. I’m not sure if this is true, but even if it is all the benefits of being in this club appear limited to the casino section of Jackpot.com.

No apparent benefits here for playing online lottery.

🤝 Syndicates

UK users of Jackpot.com have the option to join lottery syndicates. The amount you can win as part of a syndicate is lower but the odds are much better.

See below for more info.

🎁 Jackpot.com Promotion Code

There is a spot to enter a promotion code when you go to pay for your bet at Jackpot.com.

Many sites online claim to have legit promotion codes that you can use for a discount here, but I tried dozens of them myself and not one of them worked.

If I come across a real one, I’ll add it here.

Payments and Withdrawals

Payment Options 14
good

Jack pot.com has a decent list of withdrawal and payment methods. Check them out on the following banking pages:

🇬🇧 uk.jackpot.com
🇮🇪 www.jackpot.ie
🇸🇪 se.jackpot.com
🌍 www.jackpot.com

Note that UK players cannot pay with a credit card…

Jackpot.com Sign Up

Jackpot.com has a two-part registration, which you can access from the Register button at the top right of any page on the website.

The second part of the sign-up requires you to provide your address, phone number, and date of birth.

You must be at least 18 years old to register.

Make sure you provide accurate info when signing up, as you will be required to verify your identity to claim any winnings.

Jackpot.com Apps

Platforms 15

Web only

As of this writing, there doesn’t appear to be an official iOS or Android app for Jackpot.com.

Apparently they once had an app for iPhone and iPad, but I couldn’t find any mention of that on the website or a listing for it on the Apple App Store.

There is still a video about the app on the official Jackpot.com YouTube channel however…

If you are on a mobile device, you can still access and use the service via your mobile browser. Just go to jackpot.com and it’ll work fine.

(The Jackpot.com App is not to be confused with the Jackpocket Lottery App, which is a different company entirely.)

Lottery Syndicates (🇬🇧 UK only)

A syndicate is a group buy, where you team up with other lottery players, buy a load of tickets together, then split any winnings.

Jackpot.com only offers the syndicate option to UK players.

If you are in the UK, you don’t need to recruit other players to form a syndicate. Jackpot.com already has syndicates set up for select lotteries.

If a syndicate is available for a lottery, you’ll see a page like this when you go to place your bet…

Here’s an official Jackpot.com video about syndicates…

As per the footer of the UK site however, note that syndicate activities are not licensable…

Jackpot.com Cancel Subscription, Close Account

Quite a few people search for the following online:

  • jackpot.com cancel subscription
  • jackpot.com close account
  • jackpot.com delete account

To modify your subscription, go to My Account > Activity > Subscription.

As you can see above, to cancel your subscription you will need to contact the Jackpot.com Customer Experience Team.

As per their Terms and Conditions, you should request cancellation of your subscription at least 7 days before the end of your subscription period to ensure you won’t be billed again…

To close or delete your Jackpot.com account, you will need to email the support team at [email protected]. Full instructions below:

Jackpot.com Contact Number

You can find all the contact details for Jackpot.com on this page.

That includes:

Jackpot.com Complaints

I’ve seen quite a few complaints about Jackpot.com while researching the service, more than with some other online lottery sites.

  • Restricted in Many Countries
This won’t matter to many of you, but if you’re living in the restricted countries listed above, then you won’t be able to use Jackpot.com at all.

I might have been willing to overlook those issues if there weren’t better alternatives available.

However, Multilotto (reviewed here) offers pretty much the same service as Jackpot.com without so many drawbacks.

Is Jackpot com worth it?

Using sites like Jackpot.com isn’t the best idea if your goal is to earn a living online. (There are much better options for that.)

But playing online lottery can be fun if you use the right sites and don’t get carried away.

Pros and Cons

  • Bet on all the big lotteries
  • Easy to use
  • Licensed and regulated
  • Can’t buy official lottery tickets
  • Unusually strict verification process
  • Poor customer service
  • Unwanted subscription payments
  • Restricted in several countries
  • No mobile apps

Unfortunately, I can’t in good conscience recommend Jackpot.com when there are better online lottery sites available.

  1. I won 100$ on powerball October 9th 2023 I been trying to get my winnings since. But still haven’t got it. I have sent 3 emails to the customer service and I get an email back that says, please type here with your concerns. I have done it and still no response. I sent in pictures of my jackpot.com winnings also. still no response. I don’t think it’s a good site to play your lottery on.

  3. On June 30th I won $300 on Jackpot.com playing Rolling Cash 5. I live in Ohio, USA. At first they screwed up on their website by listing my drawing on the 29th, therefore, not a winning ticket. When I pointed this out to them they put the $300 in my jackpot.com account. I used $20 of that to buy some more tickets, which is what they expect you’ll do – buy more tickets. But, I then went to their “Payout” link and “withdrew” the remaining $280. This is where my elation ended. It is now eighteen days later and I have received nothing but excuses from these thieves. ALL of their excuses/explanations sound exactly like the language of fraud. Oh, by the way, the $300 also disappeared from my account with them, so I can’t even use it to bet, if I wanted to.

    • This has happened to me as well! The first night I tried this app, I won $404. I am still waiting for the payout, which I was told would be paid out within five business days (48 hours to process and 72 hours to deposit). Sounds like I will need to lawyer up!

      • I’m getting the same run around.
I think they let you win the first time you play and after that they take your winnings back, n if you bet again you are sure to lose. I been waiting on my winnings since 10/9/2023 I won 100$ withdraw 80$ and haven’t got it.

    • Same thing here although my payout was only $50.00 I have been waiting since 8/18/33 and today is 09/03/23. Customer service is giving the run around. Looks like it may worth reporting to whatever government agency oversees this fraudulent company
