About the Author

Niall Doherty

Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.

I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.

Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop, mostly via affiliate marketing.

I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best affiliate marketing courses. My team and I have spent 900+ hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.

All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.

The Best Affiliate Marketing Course?

We’re on a mission to find the best affiliate marketing course, based on our own extensive research plus feedback from real students.

Unfortunately, Commission Hero doesn’t make the top of our list…

🏆 Best Affiliate Marketing Courses 🏆

How does Commission Hero help you make money?

Commission Hero promises to show you how to achieve commissions of up to $1,000 every day via affiliate marketing.

This course is based on three core pillars:

  1. How to find the best deals paying the highest commissions on ClickBank.
  2. Setting up landing pages for your offers.
  3. Running Facebook ads to sell the ClickBank products you are promoting.

Course creator Robby Blanchard knows what he is talking about when it comes to this business model – he is the most profitable ClickBank affiliate in the world and appears to have truly mastered the system.

Robby is said to make thousands of dollars from ClickBank each day 🤑

And he certainly seems to be a master of promoting offers on Facebook.

To succeed you will need to follow the Commission Hero rules and recommendations exactly. Affiliate marketing can be complex and time-consuming. And you will have to have some working capital to run Facebook ads. So it is great to have somebody with a proven track record show you exactly how to be successful in this business.

But be warned: affiliate marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme; you will need to put a lot of work and money into your business to make it profitable.

Robby Blanchard gives a quick overview of how the Commission Hero system works in this video…

Who is Commission Hero for?

In theory, Commission Hero is great for beginners as well as those already familiar with affiliate marketing.

The Commission Hero promotional material boasts that you can be successful even if you have no previous experience. It also says that you can succeed if you have…

  • No social media following or email list
  • None of your own products to sell
  • No websites
  • No employees to help you
  • And without talking to your customers

All of this is true, but somewhat misleading in that the promotional material does not say much about what you DO actually need. And that is time and extra cash.

If the initial price of the course is a stretch for you, then the Commission Hero program is not for you. A student must be in a position to invest an additional $1,000+ after paying for the course. This money will go towards Facebook advertising and additional products you will need.

Feedback from a student…

If you want coaching from an official coach, for 90 days, it’ll cost you $10k. This seems to be the best way to reach 1k a day because most of the successful people who post in the Facebook group have had a private coach. That tells you something (i.e. there are secrets not widely shared within the Facebook group you get access to when you buy the course).

And you must be able to devote 10+ hours each week to this venture.

Lastly, you should be aware that ClickBank is banned in many countries, and you may not be able to sign up for a Facebook Ads account in certain places.

Does Commission Hero have a good reputation?

Having scoured the internet and looked at a great many reviews as well as reported student experiences, the conclusion is no not really, Commission Hero does not have a good reputation.

The main complaints from students seem to be:

  • To be successful a significant additional amount of money is needed, and this is not made clear up front.
  • There is no refund policy.
  • The methods taught inevitably lead to getting banned from Facebook.
  • The process can be confusing and no help is available.
  • Poor customer support.

Are Robby Blanchard’s students getting results?

Despite many negative reviews, we have been able to find some glowing reports that are fairly recent. However, these testimonials do not say how much money or time the individuals had to invest before becoming successful.

How much does Commission Hero cost?

Commission Hero is quite expensive for what you get.

There are two payment options:

  • A one-time payment of $997.
  • Two payments of $597, 30 days apart.

Additional costs include:

  • ClickFunnels at $97/month
  • ClickMagick at $27/month
  • GetResponse at $15/month

There is also the Inner Circle (club) upsell of $296/month, the cost of Facebook ads of at least $200/month, and paying a designer from Fiverr to create your images.

And there is more…

I found that there were parts missing in the course. In order to make my investment worth it, I asked for help because I was overwhelmed. I got some offers to help me, like Private Coaching for $10K, Avenger Mastermind for $20K, or a Lifetime Inner Circle Member for $2997.

Commission Hero Discount?

Sorry, there is no discount available for Commission Hero.

Despite an all-out search, I haven’t located a discount or coupon code.

That said, if Robby ever does run a special offer on Commission Hero, you’ll likely hear about it via his email list, which you’ll be added to when you sign up for his free webinar.

Refund Policy

The main website states quite clearly: “we have a no-refund policy.”

However, some of the additional products mentioned in the course may have refund policies.

How is Commission Hero structured?

The course is quite comprehensive and divided into nine modules…

Module 1: An introduction and overview of the training

Fundamentals are covered to prepare you for the rest of the modules. Robby discusses affiliate marketing and Facebook ad accounts. He also provides some information regarding ClickFunnels, ClickBank, and MaxWeb.

Module 2: Choosing the right offers

In this module, Robby emphasizes the importance of choosing the best offers to promote and how that will determine whether or not you succeed.

He covers finding the right offers on Clickbank and MaxWeb. And then spotlights two products in the weight loss niche.

Module 3: Finding your ad image

Robby explains what an image should contain. He recommends using an expert designer from Fiverr.

Module 4: Setting up a landing page

The main focus of this module is how to set up a professional-looking landing page using ClickFunnels. In the process, he discusses creating your domain, affiliate links, and setting up a landing page.

Module 5: Setting up Facebook

In this module, Robbie’s experience really comes to the fore. He teaches you how to set up:

  • Facebook Business Manager
  • Your Fan Page
  • Your Facebook campaign and Adset

Then he covers how to set up your ads, create a custom audience, and shares his tips for a successful campaign.

Module 6: Setting up Facebook Pixel

You will learn how to install Facebook Pixel, how to place your Facebook Pixel in your ClickBank account, and have Pixel analytics explained.

Module 7: Tracking your campaign

Tracking is vital as you want to refine your Facebook campaigns. In this module, you will be introduced to a tracking spreadsheet and taught how to install tracking links.

Module 8: Scaling

This section is about scaling your campaigns to earn more than $1000 a day.

Module 9: Ninja Tactics

Robbie covers various business strategies in this module. These include topics such as reaching out to influencers, improving the SEO of your Facebook page, and how to deal with account shutdowns.

Bonuses

The bonuses include:

  • Million Dollar Landing Page Swipes (ClickFunnels)
  • Million Dollar Landing Page Swipes (PHP)
  • Mindset
  • Images
  • CPA
  • Contacts

Students also get access to the private Commission Hero Facebook Group.

A few things to like about Commission Hero…

  • Commission Hero offers a specific way to make money with affiliate marketing.
  • You will learn a lot about Facebook advertising.
  • Robby has a proven track record using the business model he teaches.
  • You do get some bonuses, like funnels and marketing material for nine ClickBank products.

Red Flags 🚩

A few things about Commission Hero that might give you pause…

  • Affiliate marketing is not as easy as presented in the promotional material.
  • The training is expensive for what you get.
  • No refunds.
  • Additional costs are not explained up front; you will need to invest a lot more money to succeed.
  • The process taught relies solely on paid traffic.
  • Course material can be confusing and little help is available.
  • The training focuses exclusively on ClickBank products and many ClickBank products are somewhat shady.
  • You are not taught how to build a brand or develop an audience.
  • It is highly likely that you will get your Facebook ads denied and your account banned. The methods provided to deal with this are temporary at best.

Other things you should know

  • It would seem that the most successful Commission Hero students are actually promoting the Commission Hero training itself. Which is a bit too MLM-y for my liking.
  • By the time you read this review, Commission Hero 2.0 may have been released. This version of the course would seem to contain mostly the same content, but it comes with several handy new tools. Commission Hero 2.0 retails at a one-time cost of $2497.00, or three payments of $997.00 each.

Is Commission Hero worth it?

Commission Hero is worth considering if you want to learn how to sell various ClickBank products using funnels and advertising on Facebook.

If you are prepared to invest a significant amount of time and money and totally immerse yourself in the training, then Commission Hero is probably worth it for you.

But do not expect to earn thousands of dollars straight away. Affiliate marketing takes time and effort. And advertising on Facebook can be a trial and error business that can eat away at any profits you may earn.

Research reviews of other make money online websites

I signed up with Commission Hero because the presentation was good and the price ($997) seemed reasonable.

After receiving the content and watching videos I found out there are a lot of hidden fees such as ClickBank, Spy Hero, Cometly, Click per Ad, and Facebook.

Commission Hero only shows how to use Facebook to sell commission products.

One video explains how to set up the Business Manager account on Facebook, but Robby suggests that the account has 1000-2000 likes before posting an item to sell.

If I want approval for my business manager page on Facebook, so I don’t get kicked off, I have to have a coach view it, and that costs more money.

None of the course material is refundable. Which only confirms with me that the course is not worth the money.

It’s poorly put together and videos are missing in the 6 week training modules. I wish I looked elsewhere.

Pros and Cons

  • The initial price.
  • A lot of additional hidden fees.
  • The only platform used in making money is Facebook.
  • Training videos are missing from the modules.

Awful Experience - Don't Do It

I purchased Commission Hero by watching a webinar from a person I had done a little bit of training with to learn about affiliate marketing. I trusted the person who ran the webinar.

So, when it was billed as “all-inclusive” training that would go above and beyond to simplify mastering the basics and provide templates for landing pages, funnels, etc. I bought the course.

On the webinar – I am usually so good at taking screenshots and sadly did NOT – I saw “14-day $ back guarantee”. I read the small print, but it said non-refundable. I stupidly figured since I was listening to this from another person, I trusted that the “14-day” big print on the order page was legitimate.

Sadly, when I started the course, it was apparent that it was not only extremely disorganized, but immediately wanted more money for everything advertised as being “wrapped” into their program. This course is FAR more expensive than anything else out there.

Therefore, I requested a refund. I had watched 2 training videos, both so similar to the other course I had taken it was almost word for word. Also, both asked for money instead of providing the templates, etc.

They immediately answered back to tell me that I could not receive a refund. I went back and forth. Finally they admitted to the 14-day guarantee but only if the student didn’t access the files, and I had accessed them. Um, how am I supposed to evaluate this to decide if it’s worth it if I don’t at least look at one or two lessons?

They would not talk to me on the phone. They would not consider helping. I have never been treated quite so badly.

When I called Digistore to request the refund, they told me they couldn’t do anything because they are selling this program for Robby Blanchard. Still, the person I spoke with said they received requests all the time and advised me to contact my credit card company.

They were sympathetic and confirmed they thought this was a sketchy business, giving affiliate coaching and teaching business a really bad name.

Please, don’t take this course. There are other programs, just as good, that do NOT operate this way and are much cheaper. I’m usually smarter about confirming policies. I hope you are reading this before it’s too late. Don’t do business with Commission Hero under any circumstances.

Pros and Cons

  • Not much. The material is not presented well, and there are some glitches on the dashboard that make it frustrating to use.
  • How rude and unhelpful customer service is. They truly do not care about the people who invest $3,000 in their courses.
  • How deceptive they are. They engage in "tricks" to lure people in to buying their training.
  • They have shown that they have no integrity. There are many legitimate affilate teaching programs. This one makes the whole industry look so, so bad.

Very upsetting...

Before purchasing Commission Hero, the presentation video made it out to be so simple. Robby also guaranteed your money back.

Once I purchased the course, I went with the payment option because I am not in a position to fork out any money. However, in the presentation video, Robby talks about how easy it is to start earning money to pay for the rest of the payments just by following what he teaches.

I went through the video lessons fairly quickly because I was eager to learn and start earning money. As I was watching them, I thought them to be very disorganized and Robby was talking about things without logical order, so it was quite confusing.

Although I’m a novice to online business, I had a sense that there were too many discrepancies and issues that would later arise. As I was following the tiny bit of Robby’s direction, I realized that I would have to come up with MORE money.

Eventually, I emailed them because I was feeling very upset with the lack of organization. It took over two weeks of constant emailing to get a reply. When I received it, you could tell it was the most generic, disheartening reply they give to everyone.

I understand I should have read the fine print. Still, I’m disgusted at the tactics they put out to lure people like me in. The promises they gave sounded like I could make it happen if I did the work. I even decided not to pay some bills and use the money for the course instead! All I got was a company that happily takes money from people and scams them with broken promises. That is what true greed looks like.

Pros and Cons

  • I really don't have a like. I "liked" that it sounded like something I could do and that it was "easy" like they presented to you.
  • Disorganization / No clear layout
  • Broken promises and no true support
  • Lack of honesty

Good, but it’s not a simple 3-step course.

This course isn’t for the faint-hearted. Everything you need to be able to make sales is taught in the course. I sold a few thousand dollars worth of ClickBank products using the methods taught.

The issue is this: if you want extra support, you pay a premium. You can pay a monthly premium of $300 or so for the Inner Circle which gives you coaching calls weekly, a “done for you” landing page, ad copy, and images each month.

The catch with the “done for you” stuff is that it is only intended as inspiration, if you use it “as is” then you run the risk of the Facebook algorithm detecting it as a site used by many other advertisers, and Facebooks bots can shut down your ad account for that. FYI, the way you are taught to warm up a Facebook ad account in the course will cost you $300-400 per ad account and it’s recommended you have many warmed up to be successful. So you need to change the “done for you” stuff up a little bit. The quality of the landers, copy, and images you’re given isn’t worth it, the value is in the coaching calls.

If you want coaching from an official coach, for 90 days, it’ll cost you $10k. This seems to be the best way to reach 1k a day because most of the successful people who post in the Facebook group have had a private coach. That tells you something (i.e. there are secrets not widely shared within the Facebook group that you get access to when you buy the course).

That said, people have and do find success just with the basic course. Also if you have this kind of money, plus money for warming up ad accounts, and other associated costs – I’ll touch on that later – then it would be a good investment for you. It’s just not realistic for everyone.

Then there’s the Avengers program which costs $25k per year and gets you coaching calls Monday to Friday with the top-level people including copywriters. Also gets you access to live events 2-3 times per year.

Other running costs:

  • ClickFunnels (landing page builder): $97/month
  • Ad spy tool software (optional but needed IMHO to see what’s working in Facebook ads at the time you want to advertise): $100-200/m
  • Tracking software (optional but essential if you want to be able to scale ads or get consistent results): $100-200/m
  • Images/videos for ads via Fiverr (unless you make them yourself): $100-200/m
  • Advertising money: this is totally up to you but you will need to test each element of Facebook ads individually (copy, image/video, and your landing page) at about $450 per test campaign.

This is really where people struggle. Not only do you need to pay the monthly fees of whatever you’re paying, but you can easily pay $1000+ on ads without seeing sales. For some, they can get a campaign rocking right away and others can spend A LOT more than $1k on ads before seeing sales.

Getting sales CONSISTENTLY isn’t taught in the standard course, I think that could be something held back for private coaching. Facebook advertising is hard. The problem right now is that Facebook is being challenged by iOS14 changes (and when Chrome goes cookieless that will be another hurdle for them) so results at this point are unpredictable.

The thing is, lots of students ARE making more than $1k a day (some are making insane sales daily, weekly, and monthly). It’s just that a balanced view of what you’re going into is better, so you can have realistic expectations.

The best way to reach it, in my opinion, and in the opinion of a few others that I’ve networked with in the group, is one-on-one coaching would be best. So consider this: $10k for coaching, plus say about $15k for other expenses. That would be a very realistic sum of money that could get you making $1k a day in revenue at about 50-60% profit.

If you have that money, I’d say go for it. If you’re scraping together the money to buy the course thinking you’ll do a simple 3-step strategy THINK AGAIN. People do get on the course and find success on a low budget but they are the exception, not the rule.

The majority of people don’t make money and for Robby Blanchard, the people who buy his course are his pipeline for more sales. Every year, at least once, he’ll release new software or a new additional service that costs thousands of $ and won’t work for everyone.

Add to that, the actual methods taught are against Facebook’s advertising policies (as he teaches to use ‘open loops’ with nonsensical images or videos. i.e. clickbait). So much so that his latest add-on is called ‘bulletproof ad accounts’ where you pay a few thousand $ and get an insider who will green light your ad accounts so they don’t get shut down. Not very ethical, is it?

The reason why I didn’t rate this course 1 star is that it can make you money – you just have to be ok with selling bullshit snake oil products to people who fall for clickbait and BS ad copy, as that’s what they teach in Commission Hero. Although, if you question Robby or another coach about this, they will quickly try and spin it around as if that’s not the case.

Pros and Cons

  • The step-by-step instructional videos.
  • There is a Facebook community to ask questions and Robby Blanchard does answer lots of them.
  • Students are willing to help each other out and share ideas.
  • It’s not a simple 3-step strategy.
  • There are lots of variables in what can lead to success which aren’t talked about upfront.
  • Running costs can get high quickly if you don’t make sales.

Commission Hero Review

I would not recommend this course to people because of Facebook’s advertising policy. I’ve only continued with the course because I have committed financially.

The really important thing that the program doesn’t tell you at the start is that eventually everyone’s advertising account gets restricted due to Facebook’s strict advertising rules. It takes a lot of time and patience to deal with Facebook, rebuild profiles, business managers, and ad accounts.

The course is legit and so is the owner but there’s a lot of false advertising. Saying that it’s simple (3 easy steps) to make money online. It’s BS. Dealing with Facebook advertising has been a nightmare and you really have to be good at copywriting and audience selection before starting and that is not explained thoroughly enough in the program.

The other thing about Commission Hero is that they don’t talk about the money you need to start and it’s between 3-4k. People should expect to spend at least a couple of grand before even seeing their first conversion. I’ve learned a lot in the training but the process is simply not worth it. I’ve lost more money than I earned. So, I would not recommend it.

Pros and Cons

  • Training on Facebook advertising.
  • The creator is legit and very friendly.
  • Lots of support on the FB page.
  • Facebook advertising rules.
  • The patience and time it takes.
  • You need at least a couple thousand (or better 3-4k) to start plus the program fees.

Don't waste your money on the Commission Hero course

Robbie Blanchard may be a successful marketer for himself, but he’s not a good instructor. The process was confusing because he would mention things you were going to do later as if you should do them now (without any direction as to how).

The instructions were incomplete and not in a logical order. I was banned by Facebook for following his instructions for running Facebook ads.

I took the coaching for $10,000, but I noticed it is now priced at $2,997. My coach was supposed to “pull back the curtain” for me to see how he was making $60,000 a month. My first assignment was to watch the confusing videos again. Any suggestions I got were for ridiculous ads that got no traction. I was never given any tips or insight into how he built up his huge monthly income. It was a waste of money.

Pros and Cons

  • The entrance fee was reasonable at around $1,000.
  • They have an active Facebook community.
  • There were several bonuses for joining.
  • The instructional videos were unprofessional and incomplete.
  • I didn't receive any guidance from the Facebook community.
  • The coaching was overpriced and incomplete.

It's a scam

The worst experience ever. First off, I bought the course being told I would make money from the course alone. It never said I was just paying to learn. It advertised it as if this would help me make money. But what I learned is I was only getting information, and I would have to pay thousands more after buying the course in order to actually make money.

Then after you buy they say they will give one-on-one training for 10,000 dollars. Again, this was never mentioned when I bought the course.

It’s a waste of money. In order to make money by following the course you have to buy like 3 other software and pay to advertise. All in all, it’s a scam. Not what it claims.

When I went to ask for a refund, they said I have to try it for 3 months, and then if it doesn’t work then and only then could I get a refund. So after trying for 3 months and losing a bunch of money I ask for a refund, but they say I’ve opened the software so I don’t get a refund now… They are all scam artists, have no morals or ethics and the course is not what it claims to be.

Even the Facebook group is awful. All the students on there just put people down and make fun of everyone. Not good. Waste of money and time. DO NOT buy!!

Sales Pitch after Sales Pitch after Sales Pitch on top of Sales Pitch

You read that right. This “course” is nothing but one Sales Pitch after Sales Pitch after Sales Pitch on top of Sales Pitch with, yes…yet another sales pitch. News flash, sales pitches are only ok if there is an actual value provided after the sale. We don’t pay you valuable money to receive yet another sales pitch. It’s like there is a sales pitch FOR the sales pitch.

That’s how bad it is. If you want to pay to be pitched to over and over and over and over and over and over again, then proceed. Even the so-called video trainings (which are supposed to provide value, not a blatant sales pitch) are nothing more than disguised sales pitches for products.

To be more specific, he has a video for how to pull data and scale based on the data. It literally doesn’t tell you anything about how to view/analyze the data or what metrics/numbers to use to make your data-driven decisions. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the video remotely even touches on this. Even though that is the title of the video. It is just an hour-long video about them “emphasizing” the importance (even though they did this in other videos as well…as if that wasn’t enough already) of tracking your data, of course, with their proprietary tracking software.

This course literally has no more than MAYBE $100 dollars of value in it at best! Everything else is either a sales pitch for something they will make an…lol…affiliate commission on, or, FLUFF. 95% FLUFF.

To drive my points home, I have practiced as a digital marketing and advertising professional for the past 5 years. Yes, I have an actual job within this field working from home already. It pays a real income too. Within the Lead Gen sector more specifically. So, I have insider knowledge with the exception of the affiliate side of things for products. I was looking into this business model because I know it is a great model that provides a lot of time and effort “leverage” IF, you know what you are doing. However, if you are looking for actual ethical training, you are not going to find it here. At least for normal working-class Americans.

This person uses the old bait and switch method. This person and his “course” (if you can call it that) is FLUFF at best and unethical at a bare minimum. If you’re one of the people that is sitting on thousands of dollars that if you lost it to this person, it still wouldn’t affect you, then, yeah, you can make the lofty argument that it was me that didn’t work, and not the course (so as to shift the blame back on to me). However, I would submit to you that this is an EXTREMELY fallacious notion to entertain because of all the evidence I gathered within just hours of being in the course. (I consume content extremely fast because I am actually an action taker.)

If you are a working-class American, and you need your money to actually provide value in return, look elsewhere because you will not find it here. If you are an already well-off American that won’t skip a beat if you lose any money and you LOVE SALES PITCHES, this is the course for you. (I am dead serious.)

I am one of those people that more often than not, never leaves bad reviews about someone or a company online and just cut my losses and walk the other way. However, this…this is just disgusting. (Literally.) I can tell that this guy must have become number one with ClickFunnels through unethical means.

Good but not ethical

The course is powerful and very detailed. They are really devoted to the community and clients, always available. The only thing I can not agree with is the fake profiles and landings that they use in order to make money (this is in the weight loss niche). The use of multiple Facebook accounts and being constantly on the edge with Facebook policies. That is not in line with my ethical values.

However, it is the best course I have done for making money online. I still have not made a penny out of it all, while I spent a considerable amount of time and money. But the tools and processes I learned are ok. I will find a way to implement them maybe in another niche where I can stand behind the product.

Pros and Cons

  • The tools.
  • The fact that you do not care about the product and you lie to sell.

Buyer Beware!!

When I bought the CH PRO course, I didn’t have any idea of the complexity of this course. I believe that on YouTube there is a lot of misleading information from Robby Blanchard. For example, the hidden costs, suspensions on FB, the training is exclusively focused on ClickBank and ClickFunnels, etc.

I found that there were parts missing in the course. In order to make my investment worth it, I asked for help because I was overwhelmed. I got some offers to help me, like Private Coaching for $10K, Avenger Mastermind for $20K, or a Lifetime Inner Circle Member for $2997.

It drove me crazy when I saw all those high ticket products, and I said to myself: “Stop and don’t waste more money on this”. None of that information is disclosed on the YouTube videos by a “good guy like Robby that helps you to succeed ☺️”.

I feel an obligation to share my experience about the course and warn others who want to make some extra income online. I will be sharing my review everywhere I can, including the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.

For all of that, I asked to get my money back. I don’t want to do business with people like this. Let’s see what happens with the refund because these guys do not reply to my emails or even have a telephone number on their website, that is shady at best.

I wish I had never bought the program. If you paid for the course, get ready to say goodbye to your money, you are never going to get it back.

Some companies have no integrity: Commission Hero is one of those.

I bought the course and was unable to log in for 4 days. That made me skeptical. I then decided to ask for a refund. They would not comply because they let me into their FB group even though I couldn’t actually get in the course.

They never did give me my money back – the bank refunded me but Commission Hero still took my money and never paid it back to me or the bank. OMG, I sent over 50 letters, DM’s reached out every possible way. So much time wasted.

I never got to do the course first nor last and that’s not the half of it – they kept making up lame excuses even though there’s a 100% guarantee of your money back if you are not happy with the course. I wasn’t happy. They never gave me my money back. So they lied. And this happened to other people as well.

Pros and Cons

Commission Hero, a good but expensive experience.

First, I want to state that Commission Hero is a great course, and it does exactly what it says it will do. But I did not experience success with it yet, mostly because I haven’t taken consistent action on what I learned.

Commission Hero is a program created by Robby Blanchard. Robby is the top affiliate on ClickBank, and he shares his path to success in the Commission Hero course. Commission Hero cost approx. $997 when I joined which is actually very cheap for the information shared.

But there are a lot of further costs, like the monthly cost of using a Funnel Builder, the ad Spend, and if you decide to go for further training with Robby’s coaches or Commission Hero Pro. I’ll note here that Robby states that you don’t need anything apart from the basic $997 package, but everything else is in place to help you get results faster and with more help. So I think he is very fair in this regard.

I did not experience success with Commission Hero because I followed the training and after making my first sale, I had my ad account shut down by Facebook. I should note two things here. Firstly, Robby makes it clear that you will experience ad account shutdowns, so this wasn’t a surprise. And secondly, the ad campaign I was running was profitable at the time of the shutdown. I have not bothered running ads since because I recently switched strategies. I might go for this strategy again in the future.

Plenty of people will say that Robby’s training doesn’t work and they’ve lost a fortune, and I can see plenty of disgruntled people in the Commission Hero Facebook group. But these people seem to not be taking consistent action, and I think they don’t realize the cost of running a business and making it profitable.

And that is the one issue with the strategy shared by Commission Hero, you could really spend a lot of money without making anything because they use a paid ads strategy. The Facebook group is full of success stories, and I know some of the people who are having success with this program. So it is legit but like all things, it isn’t magic!

Pros and Cons

  • Complex in-depth training.
  • Clear strategy.
  • Very engaged and active community.
  • Expensive strategy.
  • Not a great customer support team in place.

They promise the world but it's an expensive universe.

They promise the world but for us to start earning something, we have to invest a LOT of money. It’s something not affordable to everyone. And not to mention the type of advertisements they recommend to sell, everything is from very shady products.

When I decided I want my money back they started offering me everything for free, all the other expensive courses and everything. Looks amazing but not for me. It’s too much money invested in something that requires even more money to invest afterwards.

Pros and Cons

  • Tutorials.
  • Private platform with a lot of content.
  • Recommended products are very shady.
  • It's necessary to spend a lot of money to earn any income.

  2. INITIAL CONCERN was stating that no basic computer experience was necessary then proceeded at sales pitch after sales pitch to other upgraded version on initial program. All requiring computer experience or taking on coaching that would take you through program at considerable amounts of additional money. If CH would just be Honest upfront on all of additional Costs in Investment – to build affiliate marketing business. It seemed extremely dishonest to me. Has owner Robby ever addressed these concerns???

  3. Note that more recently the refund policy was changed so that you could only request a refund in the first 14 days – as long as you hadn’t used any of the materials. Then after June 2021 there is NO refund policy!

    • We don’t earn any commission for referring people to Commission Hero. We used to, but they kicked us out of the affiliate program with no explanation. I assume it was because our review became more critical of the training after we heard several complaints from students.

      Reply
      • Correction: we are still seeing some commissions coming through for Commission Hero. I checked and we do still have some affiliate links in the above review. I thought they no longer worked since we were removed from their affiliate program, but somehow they are working and occasionally earning commissions.

  4. Robby and I were in the same Facebook/Clickbank training group years ago. He was probably one of the only students who had huge success with this model. He’s basically teaching what we learned in that training program. This method unsustainable in the long run. You’re guaranteed to get banned from FB so the main model is to burn through as many FB ad accounts as you can. Why do you think he teaches it now instead? You eventually get sick and tired of the constant bans. I know I did.

    • Hi Phong,
I also know this model’s grandfather is from Gerry Cramer and Rob Jones. However Robby’s mentor is Nick, one of Gerry students in the past. Now Nick also has his own course “Quit 9 to 5 Academy”, following the same model. I have lost 02 FB Ads accounts (01 of them is my personal Ad account and never get back.

  5. Facebook in general has banned many users with no apparent reason irrespective of who they are. You facebook comment needs to be directed at facebook instead.

    • But the core idea of Commission Hero is to generate traffic with Facebook Ads. If Facebook Ads has become a bad way to generate traffic for affiliate offers, then Commission Hero’s training is no longer effective. By the time students realize this, they’ve already paid for the training and can’t request a refund for a whole year.

  7. Warning! … Do not buy this program for any reason.
I bought this program only about five days ago. Normally I do not write reviews for things that are of no value, I just walk away but in this case, I feel an obligation to warn the public.

I don’t need to get into the substance of the program, my upfront experience so far is enough to say, “You do not want to do business with people like this.

I bought the program. I spent half of the day reviewing it and found that bonuses and training modules were missing from the package. I could easily see the training was lacking and the missing parts were unnerving.

I submitted a request for a refund through Click Bank, just as the Commission Hero Pro 3X promo webinar stated I could do. “30 Days Money Back Guarantee … NO QUESTIONS ASKED”

Click Bank responded “Closed – No refund issued” to my request!

I then started getting a stream of emails from Commission Hero Pro 3X. At first, they stated that they were, “working on the missing training modules and bonuses and would hope to have them up in just a few weeks.” What a novel idea; give me 30 days to review a product that doesn’t even exist yet!

Next, they began offering me discounts, additional products, other products, and membership in their subscription-based mastermind group as enticements to stay. I’m talking about seven emails all totally avoiding my request for a simple refund according to the 30-day promise.

Like I said I don’t need to go into the substance of the program, just look at the integrity of the organization behind all of their promises.

Don’t get trapped! Don’t put your money at risk, runaway!

  9. I bought the commission hero course but found I needed more help to achieve success so I looked into one to one coaching I paid 10,000 dollars for 90 days which consists of a weekly hour zoom call and being able to contact your coach by email if you become unstuck which is good but I got overwhelmed as I’d not worked like this before so I decided it wasn’t for me after all and asked for my money to be refunded they refused In there a policy for elite training you have 30 days to request a refund. They band me from using the commission hero course, and the Facebook group which I paid 997 dollars for. They are not replying to my emails I’ve stated
there policy and screenshot the parts regarding the 30-day policy they said it’s non-refundable they have not tried to resolve the matter in any way so I’m 10,000 dollars out of pocket or £7,600 in my currency it’s really unset me and caused my a lot of anxiety it’s a lot of money to lose it’s all my savings gone. Thank you, Neill, for the opportunity to state what has happened to me and for your review with regars Danielle.

  10. You fail to mention some important pointers about it. Blanchard Media does not work well with the members and customers on what they claim to portray in their videos. Once you pay to start their so called course with Commission Hero you are on your own, which they use the course as an excuse to not refund the money which their policy does not have a 14/30 day money back guarantee. Blanchard Media uses a 12 month refund & forces the person to show proof as an excuse to not refund the money  and wants the customer to forget about their refund. There’s no such thing as a 12 month refund policy anywhere which their using, and their support team is not customer friendly and un-ethical for any business. I suggest anyone who pays attention to the reviews to be aware of this online affiliate program because this is not a fair business for what they claim, you will find many un-satisfying members in their Facebook group which I have collected many of those complaining group posts to include in my YouTube review videos about Commission Hero.

  14. Terrible scam! Do not purchase. What they dont tell you , is after you spend 2000 dollars for commission hero , you need to spend more to get assistance and you have to buy from multiple other software companies and pY out of pocket for your ads which wont sell .. so you you ask for a refund and they will give you 3 different refund rules and if you follow them they still find an excuse not to refund you. I was a cancer survivor with my last bit of money left and the ads were not honest so when I told them I wanted a refund because it wasnt what they sold it as.. they refused and gave me 3 excuses that all countered themselves… do not

    • It is totally true. I spend a lot of money after buy the course and didn’t work for me as well. I asked for my refund and they gave me 2 excuses that was never asked before, just to avoid to give me the refund. Don’t buy. It is trash. Scam for sure!

      • Yes, same here, I’m in process of requesting a refund, which of course they deny because I “accessed” course materials.

I wouldn’t call it a “scam”, but the methods are shady at best. He encourages you to use proxies, VPN’s, or your family/friend’s ad accounts to keep “burn and churn” accounts to keep going.

Call your credit card company and do a chargeback. This course is not worth it.

  15. HI
I read your review on COMMISSION HERO .. I agree totally with you with the exception of the REFUND policy. They changed it.. After giving it a try for 4 days, I saw that they had failed to mention all of the extra costs not to mention the problems with FB closing down ads, etc.. After 4 days of noticing and going through their VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, because even though Robbie has a bunch of webinars listed on his course, he kind of brushes over the details on how to actually set up stuff, so it leaves a lot to be desired, and me trying to get answers through their NON responsive customer service.. Anyway, today, and 4 days into the course, I tried to get a refund and was denied because they wont refund anyone now if they actually sign up for the course and open any of their coursework.. They will only consider a refund up to 14 days after purchase AND if you HAVE NEVER ACCESSED THE COURSE!!!! What a SCAMMY refund policy is that?? They really think that anyone who purchases their course would not even open it and go through at least something there before deciding it is not for them?? The other thing I noticed is that there is NO PHONE NUMBER to contact them if I need to ask a question, in my case it would have been to spk to a manager.. but they dont have any phone number listed and as far as I believe there should always be a phone number listed.. isnt it ILLEGAL to have a website without a phone number? Appreciate your review, and only wish I had read it before buying the course..

  16. Commission hero is a well structured course with good social proof. You can make money on this course (under certain conditions.) The course like others that depend on gaining FB traffic to Clickbank offers has a bit of an achilles heel. One it tries very hard to play down and it is the ease at which FB accounts and business managers are closed down and the time it takes to get them back if you even can.

And the number of closures is shocking, perhaps magnified by the times we are in and because FB has placed more reliance on auto moderation and automation and it causes a huge volume of false flags. This is a massive problem, one the course goes to some length to play down.

The course and group teaches strategies such as warming up replacement accounts, utilising multiple credit cards, vpn’s and all sorts of other tools designed to circumvent Facebook account issues. The reality though is that you can easily spend a month fighting Facebook and not actually progressing through the course and making any money. In fairness this is a problem that impacts all courses of this nature, not only CH. I question whether the average person is really going to enjoy all this “in the shadows’ reality. 20 year old hungry affiliates with boundless energy might enjoy farming Facebook accounts through concealed ip’s in the dead of the night, not so certain that this is much fun for busy moms and full-time workers with kids. Plus you can spend $300 warming an account only to lose it over and over.

I grew to dislike the course over time for several reasons, mainly that these issues with Facebook are downplayed as to be not the big deal that they actually are. If you run any kind of weight loss offer you will get shut down over and over 100%, yet these are the kind of offers the course pushes you to promote. For some the shut downs, time lost and associated costs are insurmountable.

The way FB behaves is the biggest threat to Robby’s income and he knows it, he also knows that some people are unhappy with the course, usually on account of shut downs and all the extra expenses you need after buying in. The next thing I don’t like, is that dissenting voices and those who complain too vehemently can expect their FB group posts to be removed. It seems that they don’t like people pointing out the issues that this biz model has and asking for refunds. Some posts should be removed, especially if inappropriate or rude but I have seen many group posts pretty much explaining what I say right here get pulled down because it obviously negatively affects their refund rate and upsell income. In my opinion thats concealing the truth but being open; just sows the seeds of doubt and so costs them money it seems.

Then yes I have to point out that CH is also one big upsell. You get pushed into Clickfunnels when there are cheaper and faster page builders out there. Robby gets a nice pay check for every single referral. Then there are the inner circle and coaching upsells. The latter is $10k for 90 days, I am not sure how this works if you spend the best part of 90 days trying to get your Facebook accounts working. I’d hope you get 90 days of actionable coaching optimising campaigns and landers; not time attributed to fighting Facebook but I do wonder! There are also expensive done-for-you upsells that are nothing of the sort. You need to change them or expect a FB closure.

In mitigation some people have made this work and at the time of writing Facebook is definitely on a ban rampage and yes this may subside meaning easier progress in the future. There is no guarantee of that but you can make this work as long as certain conditions are true. If you do buy the course then buy it on that basis as Facebook is always changing and what stops you today might work much better tomorrow. The account issues can also be mitigated by avoiding weight loss offers but these are the most profitable and the ones the course pushes, go figure. Non weight loss offers can and will get shut down, just not as often.

Some have mentioned the refund policy, while I have no desire to refund myself I did ensure I used a payment method that I could easily reverse. No-one should ever be forced to wait 12 months in order to ‘maybe’ get your money back.

Be under no illusion, while Robby is affable and approachable and there is some good social proof; this course is 100% about making money for Robby and he is making a fistful. I don’t blame his business acumen for that. At the same time there are desperate people out there willing to work super hard yet they won’t pass the extra concealed road blocks, namely dealing with FB account issues and meeting all the extra costs. No one expects get rich quick and $1000 days does mean resistance has to be overcome. However this is not an ideal business model for most people ( except for Robby and his course ) mainly due to Facebook as the traffic source. While it has some redeeming qualities you can easily be 5k in the hole with nothing much to show for it. I think this review which I enjoyed was just a bit kind.

    • Hey Chris,

Thanks for that comment. You helped me refine this review so it’s more accurate and helpful.

This reply is more for other folks reading.

I’d like those readers to know that I reached out to Chris by email and verified that he is indeed a student of Commission Hero. He sent me screenshots from inside his account and the private CH Facebook group to prove it.

Here are some other comments Chris shared via email that should provide some additional context:

I was a reasonably competent FB advertiser going into this course. I made sales, I also lost account after account which prevented any scaling. It would be a good model except for Facebook bots really. I am not bitter by that, I think it’s a bad time to be doing this but in 3 months it could be radically different also.

I would say that I think the bots have been dialled up due to the pandemic and less staff. There are lots of false flags, its a huge problem and weight loss offers are notably affected. So it may get better in the future. That is my approach, to try again every few weeks.

  17. Hi Niall, thank you for your honest review! I saw the webinar and I was thinking of signing up to Commission Hero, but I was hesitant due to the 12 month refund policy and the hidden fees. This program is definitely not for me, so I will check out your other reviews.

  18. Hi Niahl, I too purchased Robby’s course and do not like it. It is layed out in a sloppy, not thoughtful way, off-the-cuff way. Also, had I known clickfunnels was part of the program, I’d have clicked off immediately. We use clickfunnels and he gets the commission off of his student’s when he makes thousands daily. If you want private coaching or supposed done-for-you funnels, additional costs as you showed above. He’s making a killing off his students, not just his own clickbank account, for which I congratulate him. I wish I had never bought the program. I want to learn this skill. I like Marcus Campbell of Affiliate MC. I’m also looking into Sarah Staar’s course as there are not many females offering these courses, and I might be able to learn from a woman better, being one myself. Thank you for actually purchasing and sharing an honest review.

    • Hi Devin,

      Thanks for sharing your experience.

To be be clear: I did not purchase Commission Hero. I simply researched it using whatever information I could find freely available online and formed my impressions based on that.

He’s making a killing off his students, not just his own clickbank account

I believe you that he makes money off his students signing up to ClickFunnels, but given the screenshots I’ve seen from Robby and his students it seems that they still make the majority of their money via ClickBank. From what you wrote though it sounds like you’re suggesting that this is not the case?

I agree with you though that it should be made clear on the sales page that paid tools like ClickFunnels are required to follow the training. Hidden costs suck.

Do let me know how you get on with those other courses if you try them.

    • Unfortunately I bought this course also. To begin with, they charged me for their “Inner Circle”, which I was not interested in. I immediately contacted Clickbank when I received a receipt for the purchase. They reassured me they would refund the charge. That weasel Robby Blanchard denied the refund. I spoke with my bank & found out he had charged my account 2 days after I bought the original course. To make a frustrating story short. After over 6 emails back & forth with the worthless support dept, I had enough~! Called my banker, explained everything & requested they dispute the entire purchase, which ended up being a few dollars short of $1400. If that loser Robby Blanchard made the Millions of dollars he claims, refunding the $300+ for his useless Inner Circle, wouldn’t have been an issue, what a ZERO, he is!!! Buyer Beware!!

  19. Hi, Niall, thanks for the review, I just purchased Commission hero, and I am very disappointed about everything, I realized that this is not for me. I think that I did a mistake to purchase this course. So, that means I cant get my money back, even after 12 month, because even I will not have chance to prove it that used the system, and why I dont want to use this system because it’s too expensive to get going. I I thgout it will be some free traffic to use it or at least not so expensive. I dont know what to do with this course now, I would like some advise from you, if possible? What would you do in my situation? Thanks again.

    • Hi Galina,

That really sucks. And it emphasizes why I wish every course had a no-questions-asked 30-day refund policy: it’s just too easy for someone to buy a course on a whim and not realize what they’re getting into.

I’d recommend emailing Robby or his support team anyway. Tell them you made a mistake and didn’t read the sales page properly and it’s your fault, but ask if they can please make an exception and issue a refund because you really need the money. They’re under no obligation to refund you, but at the same time it doesn’t do them much good to have people buying the course and not using it at all. Their ideal customer is someone who can apply the training and get great results, and it sounds like you’re not in a position to do that.

You can tell them to check your account as well. Presumably they’ll be able to see that you haven’t gone through much of the training material, which might help. (It reassures them you didn’t just buy the course, download all the videos/materials, then asked for a refund.)

Let me know if you message them and what response you get back. Robby seems like a nice, genuine guy – unlike many others in the affiliate marketing world – so there’s a decent chance he’ll make an exception for you.

    • Good luck Galina,
That worm Robby Blanchard doesn’t intend to ever refund anyones’ money. My bank is after him for fraud!! I saw another complaint about him on Ripoff Report, sounds a lot like what he tried to pull on me. Check it out if you want. You can try & go through Clickbank, but if you receive the same treatment the rest of us have, that jerkoff will deny the refund! Something very wrong with all of this.

  20. Hi Niall !! This is an amazing and enlightening review. Thanks for it. I want to get into Affiliate Marketing (for a sustainable and rewarding passive income source) and want to do it very professionally. Thus i want to have the right Mentor. I also came across this another training course called “Super Affiliate System Pro” by John Crestani. Do you have any review or opinion on that ??
    Would really appreciate your response.

    • Hey Yaman,

I spent about 5 hours researching John Crestani and his Super Affiliate System today. I will write up and publish my findings soon.

But for now, I’ll just say that it would be best to avoid that program. Lots of red flags. Check out Commission Hero instead. That teaches the same thing – affiliate marketing with paid ads – but seems far more trustworthy and effective.

  21. Thanks for this stunning review as I’m starting to put money on the side to get this training. I have already my clickfunnel account and autoresponder, been through the one funnel away challenge and want to focus on affiliate marketing with paid ads. As I have got a good understanding of the clickfunnel platform and how affiliate marketing works, do you thing it would be a good training to learn a bit deeper how Affiliate marketing with clickbank and FB ads works ?(I’am willing to pay the 997 plus an extra 700 for ads)
But your review is absolutely great
    Fantastic job

    • Hey Charles,
Thanks for the comment, and the kind words.
It sounds like you’ve already made a solid start and know what you’re getting into. Commission Hero is the best course I’ve seen for doing affiliate marketing with paid ads, and given that you have the extra $700 to spend on ads then I think it will serve you well. You could probably start out spending the $10-20 per day on ads and learn the ropes that way, then scale up once you start seeing consistent results.
If you do sign up for CH, I’d appreciate it if you could follow up in a few weeks and let me know how you’re getting on with it.

    • A lot of people forget that there is a huge learning curve to become a successful affiliate marketer. Affiliate Marketing is NOT a get rich quick scheme. Work needs to be done and I get the feeling most people here are way to lazy to do the work. And with the FB Ad Shutdowns occurring I have two solutions for you. 1. Don’t start Weightloss products. 2. Go through Facebook Blueprint Training and you’ll be fine. You also don’t HAVE to use ClickFunnels. There are other Funnels out there that are a lot cheaper like like Leadpages.
