How does Marketplace Superheroes help you make money?

Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate (MPSH Accelerate) aims to teach you about Amazon wholesale. 

It involves buying brand-name products in bulk from US-based distributors and selling them on Amazon using FBA.

Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) is a service that takes care of storage, packaging, and shipping on behalf of the seller.

Here’s an example…

Let’s say you conduct research, which is taught in the program, and discover that Disney action figures are a good product to sell.

You then buy 500 units in bulk for $500 at $1 each, send them to an Amazon warehouse, and list them for $2 each. Each time you get a sale, Amazon handles the fulfillment.

Assuming all units sell, your cost is $500 and your revenue is $1,000. So your profit is $500 before Amazon fees and other business costs.

Everything considered, you could expect to take home $100-300.

Who is MPSH Accelerate for?

MPSH Accelerate is for entrepreneurs of all levels who want to sell on Amazon but lack the funds, experience, or desire to do Amazon private label.

This is largely because the suggested budget for private label is around $5,000 to $7,500. Amazon private label is also more complex and risky.

But you only need around $1,000 to $2,000 to try Amazon wholesale.

Do Robert Rickey & Stephen Somers have a good reputation?

It’s complicated.

Here are a few comments on Reddit calling out Robert and Stephen…

It’s worth noting that these comments are a year old and discuss an older MPSH training. 

What’s odd is that nearly every account that left a negative comment had only 1-2 comments. And all their activity involved calling MPSH a scam.

So I’m skeptical that these are legitimate comments from real students.

However, we found verified MPSH customers had similar complaints about the old Ignite training…

So what conclusion can be drawn from all of this?

IMO, while Robert and Stephen have clearly upset some of their students in the past, they seem to be doing a better job with their new Accelerate program.

I say this for a few reasons:

  • Accelerate is a different business model (wholesale vs. private label)
  • I didn’t see any aggressive upsells or significant hidden costs
  • They are sunsetting the original MPSH program

That said, I’m still not a fan of their marketing.

One claim they make is that certain products you invest in will definitely make you money.

I don’t know of any business investment that’s 100% risk-free, so this is a red flag for me.

Robert and Stephen also make the idea of earning large amounts of money with the Amazon FBA business model sound incredibly easy…

They have some student results to back up their financial claims, but it’s likely that most students never make any money. This is true with any training program.

Also, from what I’ve seen, Robert and Stephen do not provide any disclaimers about earnings. This may give beginners the impression that achieving success with their Amazon method is much easier than it is.

Another person involved is Mike Sieben. He appears to be MPSH Accelerate’s resident Amazon wholesale expert and instructor and has a clean reputation as far as I can tell.

My only knock on the member’s area is that the search feature rarely returns results for even the most basic searches.

It’s generally not an issue, though, as all lessons are clearly labeled.

If you’re new to Amazon wholesaling and want to get started, there’s a good chance you’ll get a lot out of Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate.

The training provides in-depth guidance on selling products on Amazon wholesale and offers structured guidance from A to Z.

Given the 30-day guarantee, I consider this a worthwhile investment for most people, so long as you can overlook the aggressive marketing tactics.

    Joining Accelerate works if you work

    Firstly, while taking this course, I have met those who give up and make excuses. I have 5 kids and a busy life, so I can make justifications, too. Accelerate is not a magic wand you can wave so that money appears in your bank account. Still, the course is simple to follow, and there are many people and a whole community to help you through the process.

    I joined over a year ago. I am still asking others questions weekly. Things will come up, but there is so much support. I presumed the support would drop after 90 days, but it did not. The group calls end in 90 days, but you are making money until then.

    I am super busy and do not devote hours to this business. This is my side hustle, but I still sell thousands of dollars online. Last November, I made $3k in sales in one day. Granted, that is not a usual day (unfortunately). However, my business is growing, and I can see how that could easily be more often.

    Mike Sieben and Stephen are so down-to-earth and helpful. I felt like I was asking a stupid question, but Mike is still helping me regularly. I have not paid extra for that – he is just available and helpful.

    They want you to succeed. We all want each other to succeed. If I put in more work, I would earn more, but I have time constraints. My kids are young, so they come first. At the same time, I do want to grow my business and keep working when I can. The program works!

    I have no business experience as I am a teacher by trade. The training is laid out so easy anyone can do it. Invest in yourself and your business. Sure, you could do it all yourself, but I guarantee you will pay a lot more than hiring a competent mentor to guide you through. If you join Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate, you won’t regret it. However, don’t expect great things to happen if you quit.

    Not a get-rich-quick scheme, but a real business!

    I joined Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate a year ago, during its first run. The course content methodically provides step-by-step guidance, with clear videos demonstrating what to do.

    I had some Amazon Private Label experience, so it was easier for me to understand everything. Therefore, I was able to skip some parts, but the training will also work perfectly for beginners.

    If you have any questions or doubts, just post them in the Facebook group. Usually, the course creators will reply very quickly. Otherwise, fellow members will step in to help.

    However, don’t expect some get-rich-quick program. You will have to do the work and hustle!

    Pros and Cons

    • Understandable videos that are current to the AMZ interface. Videos are updated periodically, as well.
    • The community rocks!
    • Doesn't overpromise, and breaks success into small, achievable milestones.
    • I was hoping to have some products to kickstart the journey. That might also help absolute beginners to gain some confidence.

    I'm so glad I started my Amazon journey with MPSH

    The level of support and encouragement you receive from this group is second to none.

    Anytime I have questions or am stuck at any part of my business such as the research stage or freight, there’s always someone there to provide answers and further insight to the matter.

    Also, having regular coach call has been an absolute game changer in my business. Not only do I now have an accountability partner but I also have someone who has reached that level of success and in-depth understanding of the Amazon business that I’m trying to acquire. Thanks Dave!

    I cannot recommend this course and MPSH enough.

    Great investment, Mike is a pro

    The course provides all you need to become successful, from setting up your business details, Amazon seller account, and banking. The in-depth training is easy to understand and actionable. If I had any questions, they were answered within a few hours in the Facebook community.

    There is also an accountability blueprint at the beginning of each module. I followed this system and took action each week. This led to me obtaining my first sales on Amazon within weeks.

    Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate over-delivered with the details and structure of business setup, required software, and over-the-shoulder research with Mike. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to start selling on Amazon.

    Accelerate opened FBA doors

    Marketplace Superheroes Accelerate is a highly informative course. It provides step-by-step instructions and a community that is highly engaged.

    I definitely recommend it for new to moderate Amazon sellers. The coaches are easy to talk to.

    It does take a lot of work to get going successfully, but all the guidance is there if you really want to make it work.

      It's a business

      The course has been fantastic and the coaches are amazing and helpful. The material works, but you need to keep in mind that what you’re signing up for is a business. It is going to take most people a long time to get it off the ground and start making money.

      I had no experience in the field, but I came to the course knowing it would take a while to get where I wanted. Marketplace Superheroes has helped me push myself outside of my comfort zone in many ways. It has also prompted me to make moves I never would have thought of doing on my own.

      From interacting with suppliers to navigating the daunting fields of Amazon customer service, the coaches and community have been a phenomenal support and an inspiration. Since I started, my Amazon account has made over $7,000 in sales by using the Kickstart Reseller method.

        Amazing course with excellent support

        I love this course! It’s a perfect and logical addition to my ongoing Amazon private label business.

        The course material is simple, clear, and easy to follow. I really appreciate that the product selection model is data-driven and doesn’t require much in the way of interpretation.

        The support offered by the MPSH Accelerate team is second to none; all questions will be answered promptly and respectfully.

        It’s important to know that this course involves running your own business, so it’s crucial to approach it that way. Also, finding adequate suppliers/distributors to work with is essential for your business to succeed. Give yourself time to find and build quality supplier relationships since this is not a “get rich quickly” program.

        Additionally, you can enroll in more intensive Accelerate programs with one-on-one coaching and other beneficial add-ons to help you build your wholesale business. There isn’t any pressure to do so, but it is understandably a costly advantage.

        Still, the Accelerate program and associated support are enough on their own. If you follow the material as-is, you can get to where you want your business to be!

        Marketplace Superheroes Rocks!

        I’ve been active within Marketplace Superheroes for the past 6+ months and I thoroughly enjoy it. The community and support are awesome. The course content, as well as the expert guidance from the coaches, are excellent.

        I started with the Accelerate course, but switched to Kickstart when it came around. By focusing on Kickstart the last 6 months, I made over 60k in revenue.

        If you follow the course material and listen to the expert advice from the coaches you will succeed. There is no way I would be as successful as I am without being a part of this awesome community.
