Is LinkedIn Jobs good for finding a remote job?

Linkedin Jobs Remote Jobs Site Review
  About

A large job search platform with plenty of remote work jobs.

πŸ’°  Price

Free to apply for all remote jobs. Premium career plan has additional features but seems overpriced (1-month free trial available)

😍  Pros

4,600+ new jobs each week tagged as “remote”, easy to find the most recent postings.

😩  Cons

Job listings aren’t reviewed or verified, some jobs tagged as β€œremote” are not 100% remote, search filters don’t always find the most relevant results.

  Verdict

Tons of remote jobs available for free, but will require more browsing time due to some irrelevant results.

Pros of LinkedIn Jobs

  • 4,600+ new jobs each week (tagged as “remote”).
  • Easy to find the most recent postings.
  • You can apply for some jobs directly through LinkedIn (tagged as “easy apply”) – which saves you some time adding your contact info on other companies’ sites.
  • Free access.

Cons of LinkedIn Jobs

  • Job listings are not reviewed or verified.
  • Some jobs tagged as “remote” are not 100% remote.
  • Search filters don’t always work well at finding the most relevant results.
  • Occasionally, job postings are messy (written in another language, have formatting issues, etc.)
  • Many repetitive job listings posted one after another – with different locations.

LinkedIn Jobs Verdict

On LinkedIn Jobs you can find tons of remote job updates on a daily basis.

Even though remote job search isn’t always accurate and requires extra time for browsing, you might be willing to sacrifice that for free access to a large list of remote jobs.

But if you don’t want to spend hours browsing the web, consider subscribing to premium job boards like FlexJobs or Virtual Vocations and let them do the legwork for you.
