Does Shay Huang have a good reputation?
Shay aka Humbled Trader has a very good online reputation.
For starters, Shay has a YouTube channel with over 1.1 million subscribers.
And according to her website, Shay is a profitable day trader herself…
“After six years of grinding in the markets, Shay now trades full-time…”
What I’d like to see is an updated profit and loss statement as there’s no recent proof that Shay aka Humbled Trader is a profitable day trader.
The most recent proof I found is from 2021, where Shay shows her monthly profit from one of her smaller accounts…

That said, I find Humbled Shay to appear trustworthy, so I have little doubt she walks her talk.
In addition to her YouTube channel, I found lots of positive chatter about Humbled Trader on sites like Reddit from the people who’ve worked with Shay or bought her course…
There were some negative comments as well, but most of them appeared to be from people who either don’t believe in the course/coaching model or weren’t actual students.

Are Shay Huang’s students getting results?
It’s tough to say whether students are getting results with trading courses.
Day trading can be extremely volatile, where one week you’re profitable but the next week you aren’t.
This makes the overall profitability of a trader not so cut and dry.
As Shay puts it…
“…it’s not about how much money you make in day trading, but about how little you lose.”
That said, Shay links to a few student success stories on her website…
This shows the added up profit of the trader’s account over about a month.
This shows more profitable days (green) than unprofitable days (red).
How much does Humbled Trader cost?
Humbled Trader costs $1,290 yearly.
Shay also recommends having about $2,000-$5,000 to invest.
However, this is only for later in your trading journey if you’re a beginner because you’ll be trading with paper (simulated) money to begin with.
This is to ensure you’ve practiced sufficiently before risking actual money.
There are also miscellaneous costs, like software, so having a few extra hundred dollars is a good idea.
Humbled Trader Discount?
I’ve looked everywhere for a discount or coupon code, but can’t find one. And there’s no option to use one at checkout.
It seems like you’ll have to pay the full price to get access.
Refund Policy
Humbled Trader offers a conditional 10-day refund policy.
From the terms & conditions…
In the case of an online course or coaching sessions, if you provide written notice of cancellation via email, requesting a refund, within ten (10) days of registration, provided that you have not accessed any portion of an online course other than units 1 and 2, or participated in any coaching sessions.
To qualify for a refund, you need to complete units 1 and 2 in the course and send an email within 10 days.
I’m not a fan of this policy considering how pricey the course is, and it knocked the review rating down quite a bit.
A 30 day refund policy shows the creator has confidence in their products and trusts their customers. This is the standard to look for when buying into a program.
I haven’t heard of any students having trouble getting a refund, so you can at least feel confident that this policy would be honored.
How is Humbled Trader structured?
When you sign in to Humbled Trader, here’s what you’ll see…
Let’s take a quick look at what’s inside one of the lessons…
Humbled Trader is video-based with over 130 lessons. Everything is clearly labeled, and there’s a search featured so it’s easy to find specific content.
There’s a quiz at the end of each module which prevents you from jumping around the course…
I think this is a good idea as it’s likely to keep you on track and ensure you understand the lessons before proceeding.
The early lessons start with a lot of theory, which I think is essential.
There are then tactical lessons later where Shay walks you through trading using various software and accounts with over-the-shoulder screen recordings…
You’re also getting access to weekly group coaching calls, a resource center with additional materials, and a trading chat room on Discord where you can connect with likeminded people.

Red Flags 🚩
Some knocks on Humbled Trader…
- Few student success stories displayed publicly.
- Recurring annual expense to keep access to the training.
- Pricey compared to other day trading courses.
- Poor refund policy.
- Looks like the core training hasn’t been updated since 2021.

- Humbled Trader’s training is essentially a detailed guide of Shay’s journey in building a profitable day trading business. By joining the course, you gain access to all these insights and strategies.

Should you join Humbled Trader?
Joining Humbled Trader is a good option if you resonate with Shay Huang’s teaching style and are serious about day trading.

So while it appears to be a solid investment, only join if you’re certain day trading is for you or have the funds to explore your options.
