Chris Koerner shared a site he had AI build for a business he doesn’t own π
It’s laredocranerental.com, a quote page for crane hire in Laredo, Texas, and the requests go to a real crane company…
I’ve never rented a crane. I barely know what cranes are. I’ve never been to Laredo. And I’ve already gotten three leads from people that want to rent a crane from me in Laredo, Texas.
One lead was a $3,000 lead. One was like a $23,000 lead. And one was like a $9,000 lead, okay? Within a month.
That’s the value of the jobs, not money in his pocket, against $11 plus a few dollars of AI usage π€―
Chris’ playbook…
- He skips dentists and plumbers, since everyone builds sites for them
- AI finds a service where Google Maps shows only a couple of businesses, with few reviews
- It checks plenty of people search for it and ad clicks are cheap
- It buys the matching .com and builds the site
- It sends him a report every Monday on where the site ranks
He offered the leads to the only Laredo crane company with much of a web presence, already booked three weeks out, telling the owner…
I’d like to charge for these leads one day, but that’s not today. For now, they’re free. All I ask is that you tell me how they go.
Once he sees who closes, the plan is to rent the site to one company for around $800 a month, the model Luke Van Der Veer scaled to $185K/Month across 230 sites π°
Chris is running the same play on shower doors in Brownsville, Texas.
Find a boring, high-ticket service with a thin Google map in a city near you, put up a quote site, and give the first leads to whoever can do the work.
