Proofread Anywhere provides “proofreading skills courses and education on how to become a proofreader online.”
Caitlin Pyle started it on a whim in 2014 after she had worked successfully as a proofreader herself for a few years.
Apparently the business was earning as much as $300,000 per month last year, then Caitlin sold it for $4.5 million 🤯
To me, that’s a prime example of someone building a simple-but-successful freelance business, then leveraging it to build something far bigger.
Caitlin followed the same path I recommend for most people who want to earn a living online…
- Start with freelancing or a remote job
- As you gain experience, increase your rate 📈 and reduce your hours 📉
- Enjoy your free time or invest it into building a Level 3-5 business.
Caitlin’s successful freelance business gave her the time and freedom to build Proofread Anywhere.
So don’t overlook simple freelance or remote job opportunities when you’re starting out. They can lead to massive success.
