The headline is a tweet responding to a recent announcement by Brett Williams…
Hit 25,000 downloads on a stupid little project where I drew scribbles on my iPad and sold them. The whole project took just a few hours. Crazy.
Brett’s “stupid little project” is called Funky Scribbbles ✍️
It’s basically a collection of vectorized design elements “to spice up your design projects,” selling for $5 a pop.
Asked how he acquired customers, Brett responded…
Launched on Product Hunt. Failed miserably. Published the landing page design to land-book.com. Haven’t done anything else since aside from featuring it on my agency site designjoy.co.
Designjoy is Brett’s one-man design agency that apparently does 🤑 $40,000 per week in revenue. He has built up a fairly big audience due to his success with that.
Land-book is a “website design inspiration gallery” that gets about 273,000 visitors per month.
Looks like Brett listed his scribbles project on there about 3 years ago, and it has been viewed almost 4000 times since.
