$18K a Week Selling Water to Construction Crews

  • David Rodgers

  • Jobsite Supplier
  • $18,000 estimated weekly sales

David Rodgers cofounded Ice Queen in 2025 to supply the subcontractors building Meta’s huge AI data center in rural Louisiana πŸ‘€

Meta says the build will support more than 7,500 jobs at its peak.

Ice Queen started with $3 bags of ice, kept in a tractor-trailer parked near the site, plus a truck for deliveries.

Then it turned into a one-stop shop for the crews, from coffee machines and fridges to cups and straws…

Pallets of water are where we make most of our money because it’s a safety issue out here. The heat and all that…

I buy truckloads of water and deliver probably 30 to 40 pallets of water a week to these guys.

He sells each pallet for about $600, so call it $18K a week in water sales before he pays for the water itself πŸ€‘

Ice Queen has also branched out to other big clients in the area, for when the build wraps up.

Other locals are cashing in on the same crews…

  • A taco shop catering for them at $4K–$7K an order
  • A coffee shop that went from 30 tickets on a good day to about 130
  • A couple renting furnished four-bed homes to workers at $3,000 a month

The water run is the easiest to copy, and it doesn’t need a data center, just a big crew working outdoors in the heat.

Find a long outdoor build near you, a highway job, a new warehouse, a solar farm, and ask who supplies their water and ice πŸ’ͺ
