$2000 Up Front Then $500 a Month, Per Client

  • Founder, DocsBot AI
  • $1,000,000+ annual recurring revenue

Aaron Edwards built DocsBot, an AI tool that answers a company’s customer support questions from its own help docs and product manuals.

It passed $1M in annual recurring revenue this year, with a team of 3 🀯

But fewer businesses are signing up to set it up themselves, so most of DocsBot’s effort now goes into courting agencies that do the setup for clients.

Aaron reveals what those agencies charge…

I’ve heard all kinds of numbers… that mid price point I’ve heard is like $2000-$3000 for setup and then $500 a month.

You don’t have to be an AI expert. You just have to know a little bit more than them.

We featured a similar agency a few months back, with 12 clients on ~$3,200 setup plus ~$500 a month πŸ’°

Worth noting the client also pays DocsBot directly, from $149 a month, on top of the agency’s fee.

The pitch is staff time. A support ticket takes about 5 minutes, so a bot that answers 1,000 tickets a month frees up around 80 hours.

The monthly part can run on autopilot too, with AI reading the bot’s logs, writing a branded PDF report and emailing it to the client.

One tip from Aaron is to target companies already hiring support staff, because the budget is there.

Find one with a pile of help docs, build a demo bot on those docs and send them the link before you pitch (DocsBot gives approved agencies a free workspace for this) 😎
