Someone replied to that tweet clarifying that the monthly revenue is actually more like $24k/month, because the product seems to offer a perpetual 50% discount.

Still: incredible that 2 brass ornaments weighing 40 grams can generate so much revenue 💰

But, as always, there’s more to the story.

For one thing, it looks like the store (Fanoge) is running ads for this and other products. That’s going to cut into their margins.

Plus, they offer free shipping, apparently from Hong Kong to anywhere in the world 🌎

So their profit on each $13 brass ornament has to be miniscule when you take all that and production costs into account.

It might still be a good business, but not as good as tweets or headlines would have you believe 😕
