This is the authoritative 90 Day VA review.
90 Day VA is a virtual assistant course by Esther Inman, who you may know from the website Virtual Assistant Internship. My team and I have spent several hours researching Esther’s course and collecting insights from real students.

If you’re eager to learn…
Then you’re in the right place.
Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.
I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.
Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop.
I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best online business courses. My team and I are spending many hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.
All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.
We’re on a mission to find the best virtual assistant course, based on our own extensive research plus feedback from real students.
90 Day VA is one of the best VA courses we’ve seen to date…
This course aims to help you become a freelance virtual assistant.
A virtual assistant is someone who works online, helping another person or business with various tasks (eg. email management, data entry, customer service, etc).
As Esther writes on the course sales page…
Your virtual assistant work from anywhere on flex time solution in 90 days or less. You’ll learn the TOP SKILLS being hired for virtually, RIGHT NOW so you can get working right away, and how to find legit virtual jobs you can work flexibly around your lifestyle
The homepage for 90 Day VA specifies who the training is for…
Attn: Parents, Military Spouses & Travel Lovers Learn the Top Online Skills Being Hired for RIGHT NOW!
I’d say that’s the primary audience of many virtual assistant courses, but Esther has made it explicit with this one.
Other than that, the course mainly sells itself as suitable for beginners…
We teach you everything you need to know, no degree required. Then we help you build a solid portfolio with work samples and provide internship opportunities to practice and gain experience as you go. Most of our students are already working before the 90 days are through.
I’d add that the training may also be useful to intermediate VAs, but it’s best to think of it mainly as a course for people just getting started.
Yes.
Esther has many years of VA experience, and regularly shares her experience tips online. As a former military spouse and now a single mom, she also seems to fully understand the challenge of juggling work, family and travel.
Her course apparently requires only 5 hours of work per week, which seems less than most other courses. Upcoming virtual assistants usually seem to have little time, so this is great news.
In short, Esther looks completely legit to me. Her emails are well thought out, and there are homework assignments every week during the course.
Here’s a video from her YouTube channel to give you a feel for her style…

Browse through the official 90 Day VA info pages and you’ll find no shortage of student testimonials.
For example…
It’s nice to see such praise for the course, but these types of testimonials don’t reveal specific results achieved, and it’s hard to know how old they are.
Fortunately, we have collected some student reviews which fill in the gaps…
The course material gave me the confidence to pitch for jobs and the job leads that were exclusive to the program were how I landed my first few clients. I’m not sure I would have ever gone down the VA route. This course actually helped me launch into online business management which is what I primarily do now.
Ashley Harrison
I was able to launch my business shortly after completing the course, thanks to the skills I learned here and the portfolio I was able to show and discuss with clients.
Melissa Plumley
Both Ashley and Melissa report following the course for more than a year. This leads me to believe that you can do well as a VA if you stick with the training long-term.
For access to the 90 Day VA training only, there are two options:
The latter adds up to a total price of $1,164.
You get lifetime access with either option.
If you also want access to things like three 1-1 mentorship calls, 6 months of group coaching, and portfolio reviews, the pricing is as follows…
The second option totals $1,764
Also, keep in mind that there might be additional costs you’ll need to cover to fully implement the training.
Esther does a good job of recommending free tools and free software plans wherever possible. But if you have a few hundred dollars extra to invest in your business, I’d recommend signing up for some of her premium recommendations so you can work more effectively.
I couldn’t find a discount code, and I don’t see a place to enter one at checkout.
Sorry, it’s full cost for access.
The refund policy page for 90 Day VA specifies a 14-day action-based money-back guarantee…
If within the first 14 days after your purchase, you still don’t feel like the skills in this program are useful to help you land the online job of your dreams or you find yourself wanting to stick to the commuting and cubicle routine, then simply email your request for refund to our customer support at [email protected].
To be eligible for a refund, you must include the following in your email request:
I’m not a fan of action-based refund policies, and would much rather see a no-questions-asked policy here. That said, I haven’t seen anyone reporting issues getting a refund on their purchase, so you can rest easy with this guarantee.
Here’s what the training looks like once you’ve signed up for 90 Day VA…
It’s broken up into 11 core modules, and the lessons are in video format. I found it to be comprehensive and well designed, with each module covering a specific aspect of becoming a virtual assistant.
Among the topics covered:
As you can see, the course is pretty broad and covers a lot of ground. It doesn’t go very deep on any topic, but it’s great for building up a base level of competence and confidence in many areas.
The things that gave me the most pause are the lack of a search function and the length of certain lessons. Some lessons last for nearly an hour, and while some have timestamps, I still found it difficult to quickly find and refer back to specific parts of the training.
Every week during the first 90 days in the course, you get a homework assignment. It’s highly recommended that you do all of these on time. Most should take you less than an hour to complete.
There are also two smaller courses you get alongside 90 Day VA…
VA Starter Pack acts as a continuation of 90 Day VA, covering such topics as overcoming imposter syndrome, finding clients, and getting paid.
VAI Members Club teaches you about some more advanced topics, such as business management, working with clients, raising your rates, etc.
It also directs you to the private community on Facebook, which is quite active…
When you sign up for 90 Day VA, you get six months in this private Facebook group at no extra charge.
But to stay in the group beyond that, you’ll need to pay a membership fee. It’s $49 per month, or $199 per year.
Here’s what you get as a member of the group…
Here are a few things to like about 90 Day VA…
A few things about 90 Day VA that might give you pause…
From what I’ve seen, the vast majority of people who sign up for 90 Day VA end up happy with their purchase.
I consider it to be a solid investment if you’re looking to kickstart your virtual assistant business.
If you’re already an established / experienced VA, you won’t get as much value from the course itself. But you’ll likely still get a lot out of the active and helpful community, which seems to receive nothing but praise from students.
All told, this is easily one of the best virtual assistant courses I’ve seen.
We’re on a mission to find the best “make money online” course, based on real student feedback and our extensive research.
Here’s our top 5…
My review of 90 Day VA has definitely changed over the year I have been on my own as a virtual assistant. Esther’s program is great for people who want to get their feet wet, but after that I had to find answers I needed help with on my own.
As an American who lives outside of the US, I found this program to be of little help to my needs once they got more complicated. I do wish I had done more research into other VA programs, but this got me off to a great start.
Once I completed the course, I realized how little help it was to me and disassociated myself from them. I had to figure out everything by trial and error.
90 Day VA is a course aimed at a single niche, white moms, and I found it really hard to make friends, find connections/support, and build my own community within that as I don’t identify with that niche.
I am not here to bash 90 Day VA but to give my honest opinion of the course. I feel like it did give a very clear overview of what a VA is and can do, but didn’t go in-depth on anything.
I also think the fact they expect you to pay to be in their exclusive FB group to find jobs is absolutely ridiculous.
I do wish I had done more research and picked a course that fit me better.
This course is amazing for anyone who has never had any experience doing virtual assisting work!
It taught me everything from the ground up and laid the foundation for future work. Whether you want to get into podcast editing, blogging, social media, or similar – this course will give you the foundations for all of it.
Now, while I love this, it’s undergone a lot of changes since I purchased it almost 5 years ago. It used to be that you’re getting everything as a foundation to try out, whereas now, you have to buy individual packs of what you’re interested in.
This is why I took one star away. Esther is doing an amazing job at providing value to get you started in this, though, the new changes will cost you more money in the end since you have to buy everything individually.
Now, also keep in mind, that this is all just foundations. This means that if you want to become specialized in something – you will have to learn it yourself with the help of other courses or YouTube.
Esther’s program is amazing for anyone who wants to get their foot in the door! Not to mention, the Facebook group support is fantastic and they post new jobs consistently!

It’s been a little over 4 months since I completed 90-day VA. I am happy to say that I am now working as an (almost!!) full-time VA with 3 long-term clients and a consistent stream of freelance projects.
I was interested in this course because I have wanted to be a digital nomad for years but couldn’t seem to find a remote job.
I was fresh out of college with a bachelor’s degree in writing and spent about 6 months relentlessly applying to remote jobs and internships and even cold emailing some companies.
Half a year later? Nothing. Not a single response! So when I came across this course, I went into it with a TON of motivation and determination to make this self-employed remote life work.
Now, I want to emphasize that I was coming into this course with a background in writing, video editing, and light graphic design – never professionally, but I certainly had a lot of personal experience with these skills.
These creative skills are some of the most in-demand skills for VAs.
So the real hurdle I had coming into this course was not learning the raw skills from scratch, but how to UTILIZE them.
The course teaches you how to actually get a job, get clients, promote them as services, promote yourself as a virtual assistant and content creator, present yourself professionally and authentically online, and optimize your portfolio, resume, social media, etc.
In short, the logistics and synthesis of all of my existing skills into a presentable package. And I certainly got that from 90-day VA.
Not only did the course have homework assignments that actually prompted you to build up and compile a diverse portfolio of work throughout (which helped me tremendously). It also provides detailed downloadable templates to use directly in your business (also very helpful and convenient).
After completing the course and learning all the tips and tricks, I felt like I had a leg up on other VA applicants, despite being a beginner.
This brings me to the best part of the course, specifically the member’s club – having access to the member’s exclusive job board with quality clients and minimal competition.
This was the best part in my opinion because all those major job sites and LinkedIn jobs I tried to apply to have hundreds to thousands of applicants!
This exclusive group only has active members of 90-day VA and then an even smaller pool of members who are currently looking for clients.
And the clients go through the site specifically looking for students of this program. I found all 3 of my current clients through this group and could not be happier with them.
Now, here is the drawback of this course and who I think this course is NOT for.
This course will not teach you how to become a professional blogger, video editor, graphic designer, website builder, podcast manager, etc.
It did provide a very basic foundation of these skills and assignments to get you practicing, but if you don’t already have some background in these higher-paid skill sets (aside from basic admin work), you need a course specifically for the niche you’re interested in.
They will say you don’t need ANY experience at all, but I really don’t think that’s true.
This course is primarily for those who know a thing or two and are looking for their way in but are not sure what to do, how to get it all together, or perhaps are not confident that they can even do it. This was me.
So the course gave me that boost, that access to jobs, and that entry into the self-employed remote work world. For those people, I recommend it!

When I joined the 90 Day VA course I had already been working remotely for a few years. However, this program gave me many more skills to continue working remotely because the digital world keeps moving ahead. In these modern times, if you don’t learn any skills online, working will become more difficult in almost any industry.
This course, gave me “an edge” because I learned things that almost every online business owner needs! The support to learn all needed skills is far superior to the support provided in a traditional “school” setting. Therefore, you won’t feel lost or without help.
I also finished the Tech VA and I love what I have learned. Now I can help my clients with even more “techie” remote skills!

Overall, the course was an excellent tool in helping me learn and understand the makings of a virtual assistant. I graduated from the Virtual Assistant Internship (VAI) class in October and landed my first social media client almost immediately.
After a few months, I realized I wanted to have even more skills, so I signed up for the ‘Tech VA In A Day’ course. This started me on my forever journey.
Right after graduating, I landed a job as a GoHighLevel Expert with an agency. I have been working with them for the past few months. I have to give all my credit to Esther and her team at VAI for making my dreams come true!

My experience with 90 Day VA was really good. I felt I received a ton of support. I learned so much and continue to learn a lot from Esther and other people who helped design the course. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to be a virtual assistant. I hope this course continues to grow and becomes very successful.
I also recommend 90 Day VA to anyone looking to work online or remotely. Soon after I finished the course, I landed my first client. Since then I have worked with another client and I am now looking for more clients to work with.

The 90 Day VA course has been a legitimate game-changer for me. I was feeling stuck in my 9 to 5 job and I was feeling hopeless. My dream was to be a work-from-home mom someday, but I couldn’t see a way of doing that without a college degree. So, I started searching.
After discovering the world of virtual assistance, my dream started to piece together, except for one small detail. Where should I start? I compared 10 programs, but for some reason 90 Day VA stuck out so much that I jumped in. I couldn’t afford the total price, so the payment plan was a huge help for me. I have only completed 54% of this course, but clients are already reaching out to me. Most importantly, I am being paid as a VA!
This course has completely changed my life. I’m now transitioning out of my 9-5! If you are scared to get 90 Day VA, I suggest you do that. You won’t regret it.
So far, the course is not only meeting but exceeding my expectations. I love Esther’s bubbly personality and directness. She doesn’t beat around the bush in her teaching style, which totally works for me!
The modules are informative and complete, yet concise enough that it’s not difficult to “digest” all the new information. Her course also includes a “Starter Pack” section including all the material required to start your own business as a freelancer. I value these lessons so much since they empower me to realize that I’m totally capable to do this with the right instructions all laid out for me.
Esther makes a real effort to build and sustain a supportive community. I feel safe asking for help anytime, and the tone is very friendly. She also takes the time to engage with us personally on some questions.
All in all, it’s a worthwhile investment. The content of this course is broad enough to have a range of options available to you right off the bat, before deciding where to niche down later on. It’s a great foundation for anyone looking to work location-independent and doesn’t know where to start.
My experience with 90 Day VA was incredible.
I was looking for something more than the usual 9-to-5 after having a baby, and Esther’s face popped up in my Facebook newsfeed for a free webinar. I signed up and from there enrolled in 90 Day VA and hit the ground running.
The course material gave me the confidence to pitch for jobs and the job leads that were exclusive to the program were how I landed my first few clients.
I’m not sure I would have ever gone down the VA route. This course actually helped me launch into online business management which is what I primarily do now.
After working as an ESL teacher for many years I needed to find a new career that allowed me to continue working online and be location-independent. I discovered 90 Day VA, a course created by Esther Inman, a former teacher.
The instructional design of this course is excellent. It’s focused on creating a portfolio of work so you can start job seeking right away. It’s primarily video courses with PowerPoint presentations. The presentations break down the course material into very comprehensible, easy-to-learn segments. At the end of each module, you have assignments to complete which become your portfolio pieces.
This course covers the basics of digital marketing, you learn blogging, content repurposing, video editing, podcast editing, and social media management as well as project management tools.
This is an excellent introductory course, which feels similar to a college course. I felt it was worth the investment and felt very accomplished at the end when I created a portfolio of work.
I was able to launch my business shortly after completing the course, thanks to the skills I learned here and the portfolio I was able to show and discuss with clients. There are also members-only internships and job opportunities in the community.
What VA skills are being taught?
Hi Felicity,
Good question. They have entire modules devoted to skills such as…
You can choose which skills you want to learn, or go through and learn them all.
