More specifically, Ryan and Alli seem to earn the bulk of their income by reselling physical products on eBay and Amazon

Their other sources of income include sales of their online course, revenue from ads on their YouTube videos, returns on investments in the stock market, and affiliate marketing.

How much money does Ryan make?

Ryan breaks down three months of company revenue in this April 2020 video:

In that video Ryan reports a total revenue of $185,881 for the three months, or an average of $61,960 per month.

$21,878 of that income came via YouTube ad revenue, so $7,292 per month from that source.

According to Social Blade, the Ralli Roots channel grew from 121k to 138k subscribers during Q1 2020:

In another video from Ryan in July 2017, he reports earnings of $145,058 in six months ($24,176 per month) just from reselling on eBay…

And in an April 2020 video, Ryan goes into more detail about how he earned over $8,000 with day and swing trades via the Robinhood app…

(As Ryan notes in that last video, he is not a professional trader and he was trading when there was a lot of volatility in the stock market. It’s usually quite difficult to earn any significant income from day trading. See here for more info.)

How did Ryan get started?

Ryan and Allison share their origin story in this video from July 2017…

In brief:

  • At 17 years of age Ryan got a job doing door-to-door sales and was earning $1000 to $1500 per week.
  • Sounds like he started five companies before getting into reselling. His first two companies failed and he was able to sell the other three. He would have gained tons of experience in sales and digital marketing along the way.
  • Ryan and Allison started their reselling business in 2016 when they spent $200 buying stuff at garage sales and resold it all for $400 on eBay.

What type of online business does Ryan have?

Ryan runs a multifaceted online business.

According to our framework it can be broken down like this:
