Uncomfortable with selling?

If so, watch these two short videos by Ramit Sethi…

In the second he talks about becoming “the trusted advisor” for your clients, a concept from a book of the same name:

The Trusted Advisor talks about how it’s your duty to put your clients first. And if you put them first, if they see you as their trusted visitor, then of course you’re not selling to them – reframe it – it’s actually your obligation to protect them from the vagaries of the market. That’s because you have better knowledge, better products, better refund policies, better support, better everything.

Speaking of Ramit, I liked what he wrote in a recent newsletter, about now being a great time to try something new:

In the early days of coronavirus, I launched my Fireside Chats, a nightly show where I talked about money and business and shared what I knew. They weren’t perfect — I didn’t have a full camera crew, I didn’t have the perfect lighting — but I did them and people loved them…

Right now is an opportunity to be experimental and creative. Nobody cares about perfection right now. It’s the ideal time to try something new and adapt quickly.
