Private Label Masters seems like a solid course but it doesn’t quite make the top of our list…

How does Private Label Masters help you make money?
Tim Sanders’ Private Label Masters is an online course that aims to teach you how to build an ecommerce business with Amazon FBA.
There are multiple strategies you can use for selling on Amazon, and PLM teaches you specifically about private labeling. This is when you create your own branded products to sell on Amazon.
Who is Private Label Masters for?
According to my research, it seems both new and experienced Amazon sellers have benefitted from the Private Label Masters training.
However, it seems to be geared more towards beginners who have never sold on Amazon before.
Having spent 120+ hours researching Amazon FBA, I’ve come to believe that building a successful Amazon FBA business – even with the help of Tim Sanders’ training – is a tough task. Personally I would not recommend it if you’re new to working online.
Does Private Label Masters have a good reputation?
For the most part, yes.
Tim Sanders looks to be the real deal, running his own successful Amazon businesses and regularly revealing how much he’s earning.
For example, here’s a screenshot from Tim showing deposits into his bank account from Amazon…
I’ve also seen lots of positive reviews of Private Label Masters from Tim’s students, more than for most other Amazon FBA courses.
That said, PLM might be the most mysterious Amazon course I’ve come across, as it’s hard to find basic information about the course such as the price, refund policy, and exactly what you get when you sign up.
They require each prospective student to jump on an “enrollment call” before joining the program, and most of the complaints I’ve seen about PLM are related to this process, and the expense of the program once it is eventually revealed.
Are Private Label Masters students getting results?
Having gone through the PLM sales funnel and researching elsewhere online, I’ve seen many testimonials from Tim’s students.
As mentioned, it’s easier to find success stories for Private Label Masters than for many other Amazon FBA courses.
I also like that I’ve been able to find a decent amount of student success stories after 2018. Before 2018 seems to have been something of a golden age for Amazon FBA, but Tim’s teachings still appear to be effective in recent years.
How much does Private Label Masters cost?
Annoyingly, Private Label Masters does not have this information listed on their website. They require you to schedule an “enrollment call” to learn the price of the course.
According to multiple reports online, the standard price of enrollment is $5000. I haven’t seen any reports of a payment plan option.
Keep in mind that you’ll also need some money to buy inventory and spend on advertising. The total amount you need depends on the product you’re planning to sell.
During enrollment for Private Label Masters, they ask that you have access to at least $6000 to start your business…
We only work with Students who have sufficient startup capital. To start an Amazon business requires capital for inventory, shipping, photos etc… Do you have access to a minimum of $6,000(usd)? (NOTE: This amount is based on hundreds of successful Students)
It’s unclear if that $6000 includes the cost of the Private Label Masters training itself.
However, I found one PLM student reporting that “you need another $5000-$8000 excluding the course cost” (source).
(That fits with my previous research. Many Amazon sellers I’ve corresponded with say you’ll need a budget of $5000 or more beyond the price of a course.)
The same student reports that six months after joining Private Label Masters, you are required to pay $49 per month to keep your access to the private PLM community.
Private Label Masters Discount?
I’ve seen multiple reports that there is a “fast action” discount offered during the enrollment call for Private Label Masters.
The discount is apparently for $1500, which would bring the cost for accessing PLM down to $3500.
Refund Policy
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any reliable info on the refund policy for Private Label Masters.
This is all the info available in the PLM Terms of Service:
Your purchase of a product or service or ticket to an event may or may not provide for any refund. Each specific product, service, event or course will specify its own refund policy (source).
If you end up jumping on an enrollment call for PLM, definitely ask them to clarify the refund policy before you join.
How is the training structured?
The training is arranged according to Tim’s “compound layering” framework, which covers 6 parts to selling on Amazon:
- Finding the product
- Sourcing the product
- Shipping the product
- Listing the product
- Advertising the product
- Launching the product
Private Label Masters aims to teach you how to master each of those parts. The training is delivered mostly in video format.
When you join PLM you also get access to weekly live Q&A video calls with Tim Sanders. These usually last 1-2 hours on a Tuesday and many students seem to get great value from them.
Here’s a similar live Q&A that Tim posted to YouTube:
Students also get access to a private Facebook group, where they can ask questions and interact with Tim and other PLM members.
Green Lights 🟢
Based on my research and submitted student reviews, here are several things to like about Private Label Masters:
- Lots of student testimonials and success stories.
- The training is comprehensive, practical and step-by-step.
- Active and helpful private community.
- Tim Sanders seems to be the real deal.
- Weekly live Q&A calls with Tim.
Red Flags 🚩
A few things about Private Label Masters that might give you pause:
- Very little info about the course cost, contents, refund policy, etc. available online. You must schedule an “enrollment call” to get all the info.
- Numerous reports of people feeling pressured on the enrollment call to sign up ASAP.
- After six months, you must pay $49/month to keep access to the private community.
- On the expensive end, when compared to other Amazon FBA courses.
- To give yourself a decent chance of success, students report that a large investment ($5,000+) is required beyond the price of the course.
Other things you should know
- Again, there are key details about this training absent from the PLM website. If you do sign up for an enrollment call, be sure to ask for info such as how much investment is required beyond the price of the course (for software tools, inventory, PPC, etc) and what is their refund policy. Ideally, they should send you all these details in writing so there’s no confusion.
Should you join Private Label Masters?
Tim Sanders seems like a legitimately successful Amazon seller who has helped many others achieve success through his Private Label Masters training.
If you like Tim’s free YouTube videos and have at least $10,000 to invest in building your Amazon FBA business, then signing up for PLM is probably worth your while.
(Just make sure to ask about their refund policy before you commit!)
That said, for most people just getting into Amazon FBA, I’d recommend starting with some lower-priced courses (see below) to test the waters and see if it’s a good fit for you.

I signed up for this then shortly thereafter my father-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer.
I left for the UK to see him through hospice. Shortly thereafter, my house burned down in the LA fires.
I asked them to please make an exception and refund me (they could see I hadn’t started the course).
They literally just ignored my messages, yet continued to hit me up for a $40/mo pro subscription. This after 5k!!
PLM was the only company that completely ignored those affected by the fires. Everyone contributed, and so many companies and people did SO much to help, but they couldn’t be bothered.
I don’t like their ethos – lack of compassion.
