How did Preetam get started?

Per his LinkedIn, Preetam graduated from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2015 with a BTech in Electronics and Communication.

From his personal website:

I started my career as a marketer, found love in building software products, learnt how to design in 2018, and how to code in 2020. Now, I’m on an adventure building SaaS businesses, and trying to live a good life.

[…] I’ve been working with startups since 2015.

I’ve worked in Digital Marketing (MySmartPrice, Jobspire) and Product Management (Goodbox, Unacademy). I also started a company in the F&B industry (Levelz), which failed to gain traction.

Before SuperLemon, Sankalp and I tried to build another company (SessionFox) which failed due to no market demand.

Regarding SuperLemon, Preetam wrote in July 2020:

14 months ago, my co-founder Sankalp and I set out to build a business that can sustain our livelihood while allowing us the freedom to live life on our terms.

When we started, we each had roughly 12 months of savings to survive on, assuming we made $0.

14 months later, we grew past $25,000 in MRR while remaining a 2 person team.

What type of online business does Preetam have?

According to our framework SuperLemon is a cloud service business, which would be considered a Level 5 online business.
