This is the authoritative Pinterest VA review.
Pinterest VA is a virtual assistant course by Kristin Larsen. My team and I have spent several hours researching the course and collecting insights from real students.

If you want to know…
Then you’re in the right place.
Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.
I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.
Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop.
I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best online business courses. My team and I are spending many hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.
All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.
We’re on a mission to review all the popular virtual assistant courses, based on our own extensive research plus feedback from real students.
Pinterest VA seems like a decent course but it doesn’t quite make the top of our list…
Kristin’s course aims to teach you how to become a Pinterest VA.
A virtual assistant (VA) is a person who helps a business with various tasks. A Pinterest virtual assistant usually helps with creating pins and linking those pins to web publishers’ websites.
Pinterest is a social media website where people share pictures and videos.
From the course sales page…
Learn why Pinterest is the BEST online marketing platform in existence and cultivate the skill set you need to become a successful Pinterest virtual assistant and your role in working with clients.
As a freelancer you would be running your own business as a Pinterest VA. Clients would hire you as a virtual assistant to help with their activities on Pinterest.
There are three tiers (or versions) of the training:
Each tier contains Kristin’s core Pinterest virtual assistant training, and the higher tiers are designed to help you reach greater levels of income.
That said, the training sells itself as a platform for Pinterest fans of all levels of experience, but mostly beginners…
You don’t have to have much experience to get started as a Pinterest virtual assistant, but you do need to be willing to learn a new skill, be proactive and ready to put in the work.
Become a Pinterest VA Today! is a great fit for those that already use Pinterest for fun! The program will teach you what you need to know to specialize as a Pinterest virtual assistant, including technical training, what services to offer, how much to charge, how to find clients and more!
Kristin believes you’ll find the training helpful even if you already have Pinterest VA clients…
Other students have started from a similar place in their journey and the program has helped them to level-up their business with our package rates and samples.
The last tier in particular – Pinterest Expert Business Academy – seems like it would be helpful for advanced VAs, as it includes “high-level coaching to help you confidently scale to 5-figure months.”
Yes.
Kristin Larsen is a well-known name in the Pinterest community with more than 20,000 people following her on that platform.
She’s also owner of a popular personal finance blog called Believe In A Budget.
Larsen launched Pinterest VA several years ago with Gina Horkey, another popular virtual assistant and course creator. (I’ve also reviewed Gina’s course, Fully Booked VA.)
It seems Gina is no longer involved with Pinterest VA however.
Back to Kristin: given how all students seem to love her courses, I believe there’s nothing about her that should give you pause.
Back to Kristin: given how all students seem to love her courses, I believe there’s nothing about her that should give you pause.
It’s easy enough to find students of Pinterest VA reporting solid results.
For example…
I love seeing testimonials like the above that speak to specific results achieved on account of the training.
Not every Pinterest VA testimonial is like that however. Many simply praise the course for its structure and lessons.
But I’ve seen enough on Kristin’s success stories page to conclude that her training is effective if you’re willing to put in the work.
The listed price of Kristin Larsen’s Pinterest virtual assistant training starts at just $99. You can also pay in monthly installments.
There are a few payment options…
Keep in mind that you’ll also need software like Tailwind and Canva to make full use of the course. Both have free plans, but paid plans may help you better implement the training. (By my estimate, you’ll need a budget of $50-150/month for those paid plans.)
Kristin also recommends Bluehost for a domain and web hosting so you can set up your own website. Expect that to cost about $100/year.
There is a coupon code for Pinterest VA courses, but only if you pay for it in one go. The code SAVE100 is automatically applied at checkout, bringing your total to $699.
I found that coupon code via Kristin’s free training workshop, which you can access via her website….
There may be a time limit for using that coupon code, so keep an eye out for a countdown timer on the website.
The refund policy for Pinterest VA is very confusing.
You can read all about it via this Terms and Conditions page.
Best I can tell, there is a 30-day refund policy, but only if you paid for the course with one payment, instead of opting for the monthly payment plan.
Also…
There is NO refund for Pinterest Expert Business Academy or the Become A Pinterest VA Today! Beginner Course.
So apparently refunds are only available for:
(I’m assuming there is a difference between the Become A Pinterest VA Today! Beginner Course and Become A Pinterest VA Today! But it’s unclear what that difference is.)
Then there are a bunch of actions you must complete to apply for your refund.
Including:
Phew!
That’s a lot to do in only 30 days, especially for a course that sells itself as something you can do in your spare time.
And even if you do all that, it seems you might not even get a refund, because…
All refunds are discretionary as determined by PVA Enterprises LLC.
I can understand why they have it set up like this – they want to make sure you put in the work required to achieve success – but I much prefer the no-questions-asked refund policies I regularly see in other courses.
(Also, you should know that many of the course bonuses are only available after the 30-day refund period has expired.)
Given all the above, I’m inclined to believe that it’s pretty much impossible to get a refund of Pinterest VA. So best be sure this is the right course for you before signing up.
That said, I haven’t seen any complaints from students regarding refunds. I’m guessing that’s because Kristin’s course is very good and few people ever request their money back.
Pinterest VA is broken up into 5 primary modules with more than 20 videos and a lot of text. Most of the lessons appear to be short and to the point.
The training covers all services that you can offer on Pinterest as a virtual assistant. Their difficulty may vary, but with lifetime access, that shouldn’t be an issue.
Besides becoming an experienced Pinterest user, within the course you’ll also learn how to use software like Canva and Tailwind effectively. They also cover everything else you need to know as a freelancer, such as pitching your services, finding clients, setting your rate, etc.
Should you go for one of the higher tiers, you’ll also get access to a private Facebook group. The team behind the training looks quite active there. They help their students grow their businesses and often post qualified leads.
Kristin also seems to update the course content a few times each year, which is great.
Another thing that sets out the Pinterest VA course are the bonuses. (Remember though, you only get access to these 1 month after you sign up.)
You get the following bonuses with the Become A Pinterest VA Today! tier…
The Pinterest Manager Academy tier includes all the above and also the following…
And finally, the Pinterest Expert Business Academy adds a 12-week high-level group coaching program and the following bonuses…
Some positive points for Pinterest VA…
Some knocks on Pinterest VA…
From what I’ve seen, the vast majority of people who buy this course end up happy with their purchase.
However, it targets a rather specific niche. If you’re not laser-focused on Pinterest already, I’d advise sticking to another (broader) virtual assistant course.
Pinterest VA seems to be a solid investment otherwise. The training is very comprehensive and regularly updated, and it seems numerous students of the course have found jobs quite fast.
If you’re on the fence, there are Kristin’s Pinterest VA and Believe In A Budget blogs. These have a bunch of articles and some free content that can help you figure out if becoming a Pinterest VA is the right fit for you.
