A quote from Steph Smith’s Doing Content Right…

There’s a video that I love, where Steve Allen asks Jack Kerouac about his bestseller.

He asks, “How long did it take you to write ‘On The Road’”, to which Jack replies, “Three weeks”.

But when Allen asks, “How long were you on the road for?”, Jack says, “Seven years”.

In other words, Kerouac spent seven years and three weeks writing that book.
