About the Author
Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.
I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.
Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop.
I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best online business courses. My team and I are spending many hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.
All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.
How does How To Trade Stocks help you make money?
How To Trade Stocks is a beginner stock trading course that aims to teach you the basics of trading strategies in the stock market.
The short video course does cover the fundamental theory of stock trading. What it doesn’t do is show you examples or provide practical steps.
For example, the training explains concepts like day trading, swing trading, and long-term investing. However, you won’t see walkthroughs of popular platforms, how to find stocks to trade, how to execute trades, or any other over the shoulder material.
Who is How To Trade Stocks for?
This course is aimed at newbie traders looking to get started trading stocks.
However, it seems the person who wrote the only sentence on the sales page might’ve done so in a hurry…
It’s hard to believe anyone will be “mastering” stocks with this course. It provides a decent intro to stock investing, but I sincerely doubt it will turn anyone into a master.

Does Benzinga have a good reputation?
In the world of trading education, Benzinga appears to have a decent reputation overall. While their How To Trade Stocks course may not be the most comprehensive, they seem to generally deliver on what they promise.
The website itself and its CEO, Jason Raznick, is considered to be a trusted source of information when it comes to trading.
For example, the company has authored articles on highly regarded finance sites like Fidelity, Forbes, and Yahoo Finance.
The course instructor, Gianni Di Poce, is definitely involved in the trading space.
It’s unclear, however, whether he currently trades himself or makes much money from it.
Despite this, I did get the sense he was teaching from experience.
Are Benzinga students getting results?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any reviews or testimonials for this course.
Most reviews found in places like Trustpilot come from customers using Benzinga’s flagship product called Benzinga Pro.
While there’s certainly no shortage of online chatter about that product, mention of people even using their courses are seemingly nowhere to be found.
So while it’s possible that students of How To Trade Stocks are getting results by following the training, I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
How much does How To Trade Stocks cost?
The training is a straightforward one time fee of $47 for complete access.
How To Trade Stocks Discount?
Despite a thorough search for a discount or coupon code, there were none to be found.
It seems you’ll have to pay the full price for access
Refund Policy
It seems there are no refunds available for How To Trade Stocks.
This is what the main website’s terms say:
Your purchase of a product or service or ticket to an event may or may not provide for any refund. Each specific product, service, event or course will specify its own refund policy.
However, there is no posted refund policy specified on the How To Trade stocks’ course page.
How is How To Trade Stocks structured?
The 7-module course is organized in a straightforward and easy-to-navigate manner despite not having a search function.
Each 10-25 minute video is divided into lessons with short quizzes included in some modules.

Here are a few things to like about How To Trade Stocks…
- Real tried and trusted fundamentals.
- Lessons are short and simple, easily digestible.
- Benzinga has a good reputation.
Red Flags 🚩
A few things about How To Trade Stocks that might give you pause…
- Lack of significant success stories from students.
- Somewhat expensive for the quality.
- Lots of powerpoint-style videos, often telling you what to do rather than showing you with a simple screencast.
- Looks like the core training hasn’t been updated since 2020.
Other things you should know
- While the price of this course seems cheap at first glance, similar material can be found online for free on YouTube or in a textbook. So I wouldn’t really consider it great value for money.
- A cynic might say that the main goal of the training is to upsell you into a $97 per year newsletter. That offer is linked in every lesson, mentioned in the beginning of the course, and shown in a quiz question. See below…
Should you join How To Trade Stocks?
In my opinion, this training is not worth your money even if you’re an absolute beginner looking for a super basic understanding of stock trading.
The authority and experience behind Benzinga is likely packaged somewhere in their offerings, but I don’t think you’ll find it in this course.
As noted, I believe similar material can be found online for free on YouTube or in a textbook.
