How does Fox Web School help you make money?

Rob’s training aims to help you start your own web design business.

The official word…

Fox Legends is a step-by-step program that shows you how to start – and grow – a profitable web design business.

Inside Fox Legends, we don’t teach you how to become a better coder or designer…

We teach you an approach to building your web design business that’s based on real experience and proven to get results.

One that doesn’t require you to have years of coding experience, pixel-perfect design skills, or an award-winning portfolio.

So in case it’s not clear: this course aims to teach you the BUSINESS side of being a freelance web designer. So expect lessons on crafting your offer, pricing your services, finding clients, etc.

How much does Fox Legends Program cost?

The listed price for the Fox Legends Program is $895.

You can also pay in 4 monthly installments of $250.

Avoid this course you want to build a real business

I first discovered Rob’s program on the Fastlane Forum where he built a strong reputation. I started watching his YouTube videos and thought it was amazing that he charged $7,000 for an ugly looking site! The concept of value-based pricing blew my mind away, and I wanted to learn how to do the same.

At the sales page, I filled up an application form. I received an email stating I was a good fit for this program. (Steal this tactic because it helps people qualify themselves and convince themselves they are capable enough to start a 6-figure web design business.) Before the sales call, I was already pre-sold on the idea that a web design business would help me learn “business skills” taught in the program.

The course video quality is sharp, similar to all of his YouTube videos. However, the learning materials were sub-par. Nothing special. Just a summarized version of SPIN Selling and other web design process tips that you can get for free elsewhere.

The course recommends that you tap into your network for your portfolio projects. Those who don’t have a network can expect to take a longer time to get projects. Oddly enough, for a sales course, there is no mention about other lead generation methods or how to qualify prospects and run discovery calls.

The original price of the course was around $4000, but the price dropped significantly. This change attracted a lot of wantrepreneurs, and the quality of discussions has declined over the years.

Around 90% of the discussions in this group are from newbies that ask basic questions like “Should I use Elementor?”. From the rest, 5% of members post about their first sale without sharing any context, and 5% are value posts by successful members who are eager to share their knowledge.

The coach brought reputable guests like Chris Orzechowski and Alex Berman to give 1-hour talks. Great strategy for the coach to expand his influence, but the value it brings to students is questionable. Most students struggle to get their first few clients, so they don’t need additional training. They need more actionable steps and feedback!

Like similar gurus out there, they will celebrate your wins, but it is on you if you fail. Out of 400+ students in the program, I wouldn’t be surprised if less than 5% of them get leads consistently while producing results for their clients. This course is okay if you know how to generate leads but struggle to close a client.

The best way to learn sales is by doing it. You don’t need to join a high-ticket program to teach you. Get a sales job or hire a legitimate SDR coach to review the sale calls with you. All you need is persistence.

Pros and Cons

  • Excellent video quality
  • Good marketing strategies used to promote the course
  • Friendly community
  • Extremely basic learning materials
  • Live coaching calls were more of Q&A sessions in a room of 50+ people
  • Community filled with wantrepreneurs struggling to get their first client
