One of my favorites is this guy buying and selling pennies, enough to pay for 2+ years of living expenses and an MBA.
Some clever examples of entrepreneurial thinking in there, like getting a part-time job at FedEx to avail of the 40% employee discount so he could ship pennies more cheaply.

bought an asset cheap, maybe did something to it, but definitely let some amount of time pass, and sold the asset.
