Bonnie Ware spent years working in palliative care, which basically means she looked after people who were seriously ill and expected to die soon 😔
She wrote a book about her experience, called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying.
Those five regrets…
- I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
- I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
- I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
- I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
- I wish I had let myself be happier.
Related to that, Noah Kagan posted a couple of interesting videos in recent months…
- Asking 80 Year Old Millionaires If It Was Worth It…
- Asking 70 Year Old Billionaires If They Have Any Regrets…
A few of the regrets mentioned in those videos 👇
- Not spending more time with young kids
- Not learning how to sell earlier
- Not writing more stuff down (ideas, plans, etc.)
- Not being grateful enough, not thanking people.
Worth noting though that many of those people Noah talked to said they didn’t have any regrets, that all the hard work and sacrifice was worth it.
I guess it’s easy to feel that way when you end up super rich 🤑
