About the Author

Niall Doherty

Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.

I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.

Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop.

I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best online business courses. My team and I are spending many hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.

All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.

How does Simple Profit System help you make money?

Simple Profit System, AKA Covert Influencer Method, aims to help you make money through the Amazon Influencer Program.

Being an Amazon Influencer involves uploading product review videos to Amazon.

These videos appear on product pages, and you get paid when a customer who sees your video purchases.

Example of where your videos might be on an Amazon product page…

wealthery review amazon product page

A few perks of being an Amazon Influencer…

  • You can make faceless product review videos, so you don’t need to be on camera
  • Amazon drives the traffic for you
  • You can review products even if you don’t buy them from Amazon
  • The more videos you upload, the more you can earn
  • You can sometimes get free products in exchange for a video review

Amazon Influencing is more a game of quantity over quality.

It seems you need to upload about 150 videos to make $1,000 per month.

Who is Simple Profit System for?

Simple Profit System seems to target people seeking an easy way to earn extra income online.

From the sales page

It’s something I believe ANYONE CAN DO whether you like internet, marketing, business building… or you just someone looking to make some spare change.

While I do think it’s simple enough for everyone to do, it still requires serious dedication to make the type of money advertised.

I’d say it’s only a good fit for you if you’re willing to upload dozens, if not hundreds, of 2-5 minute video reviews over several months.

Does Travis Stephenson have a good reputation?

It’s complicated.

There’s no question in my mind that Travis is a successful affiliate marketer and businessman, but a considerable number of findings suggest he has engaged in shady business practices.

For starters, Travis’ main company, Wealthery, has received an F rating from the Better Business Bureau…

wealthery review bbb rating and accreditation

And there are several unanswered complaints. For example…

wealthery review unanswered complaints

Here’s a summary of the BBB complaints…

  • Technical issues
  • Unresponsive support
  • Not honoring refund requests
  • Fake urgency (saying the price will increase but it doesn’t)

The next issue involves two lawsuits against Travis.

The first was a 2018 lawsuit by the SEC…

Source: SEC.gov

The SEC alleged that Travis and a group of internet marketers created and shared videos that tricked people into opening brokerage accounts and trading risky securities called binary options.

Apparently, the marketers promised that investors could make a lot of money by using free or secret software systems.

The SEC claims that these promises were false and that investors lost tens of millions of dollars as a result.

Travis reportedly agreed to settle the charges and pay a total of $4.1 million.

The Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) also sued Travis for what seems like a related issue…

The CFTC claimed Travis participated in misleading advertising and used fake testimonials related to a binary trading offer.

As a result, Travis was reportedly permanently banned from trading on registered exchanges and had to pay back $89,000.

In summary, it looks like Travis was an affiliate and took his advertising claims too far.

But while Travis has had issues, it doesn’t seem to have stunted his success too much.

For example, it appears Travis has four 2 Comma Club awards from Clickfunnels…

That would mean he’s generated over $4,000,000 with his own products.

It also looks like Travis is actively walking his talk when it comes to the Amazon Influencer Program…

But his $700+ earnings are far from the $10,000 he claims is possible.

Given all of this, I think it’s best you set reasonable expectations when working with Travis, even though he’s one of the more effective entrepreneurs in the affiliate marketing space.

Here’s a video from Travis’ YouTube channel so you can get a feel for his style…

Are Wealthery’s students getting results?

Scrolling through the sales page, you’ll see plenty of student testimonials…

No proof is shown. But giving the benefit of the doubt, it seems many students are earning from the Simple Profit System.

How much does Simple Profit System cost?

Simple Profit System costs $97 one-time.

There are two upsells immediately after buying.

The first is a $49/mo offer to learn how to do traditional affiliate marketing…

wealthery review learn how to do traditional affiliate marketing

And the second is a $299 upsell to access an Amazon Influencer scaling training…

wealthery review amazon influencer scaling training

Oddly, the core $97 product sales page seems to imply $10,000/mo is possible with the system…

I can’t make it any clearer, this is the simplest and easiest way to earn extra income (Up to $10,000/ Mo for most)

But in the upsell video, Travis says the core training is enough to take you to $2,000/mo, and he suggests buying the $299 upsell to scale past $4,000 per month.

IMO, this is a shady upsell tactic that leaves buyers feeling like they have to pay extra to get what they were promised.

Simple Profit System Discount?

I couldn’t find a discount code, and there doesn’t seem to be a place to enter one.

Seems it’s full price only.

Refund Policy

Simple Profit System claims to offer a conditional 7-day refund guarantee.

The official word…

We offer a 7 Day refund guarantee that only asks that you submit the information you attempted during our program to prove you at least tried the methods and they didn’t work.

But there are numerous complaints about Wealthery not honoring its refund guarantee, so it’s safest to assume that receiving a refund is unlikely.

As with all courses, I think 30 days is a reasonable time period for refunds because it gives you enough time to get a feel for the material.

Also, non-specific conditional guarantees like this makes it easier for sellers to deny a refund request.

So I’m certainly not a fan of this policy.

How is Simple Profit System structured?

Here’s what Simple Profit System looks like when you log in…

And here’s a sneak peek inside a lesson…

wealthery review simple profit system lessons

Simple Profit System is a video-based training with 20+ lessons totaling about 5 hours of Amazon Influencer-related training.

There is also about 4 hours of content related to traditional affiliate marketing.

The Worst Customer Support and Unethical Business

The course is a modern-day pyramid scheme.

They say that they can help you grow your audience for whatever business you are in, but once you have signed up they only want to have you sell their affiliate program.

Get others to pay, and they get others to pay and you get some of their payment. All the while delivering nothing more than the dream of getting money from others as they get money from others.

I figured out that it was not a fit for me and did not have a problem until they billed me for another year. I told them no thank you. They said sorry to see you go, but we will keep your money.

My advice is to find a more ethical business and learn to make money without having to hurt someone else. By hurt, I mean to steal money that they may not have.

By stealing a yearly membership fee, Travis and Khristine have hired me to get the word out that they just want your money and as long as they have it they will be happy … you, who cares!

Pros and Cons

  • My favorite thing is that I am no longer involved.
  • Travis talks about being a friend or just like you ... if you are going to steal from all your friends.
  • You have to use social media, FB and Insta, X to post and post and post.
  • Total lack of ethics and poor business practices.

Travis is a scam artist

Please protect yourself from this person and stay away.

I had to remove myself quite some time ago completely because his lies were constant. He doesn’t pay affiliates accurately or in a timely manner if you ever get paid at all.

There are so many of us that have been owed money for over 3-5 months and he and his team ignore us. Some people are owed large amounts of money; it’s completely unfathomable behavior.

He doesn’t deliver on promises in his higher ticket programs AT ALL and then refuses to give refunds. He even goes so far as to use Affirm for monthly payments so that when people end up disputing the charge (because he is a scam artist), he’s off the hook because they owe the creditor.

He’s VERY good at providing enough value to make you think he’s good. Trust me when I say he is worse than the worst person I’ve ever met. Stay away from him!

Pros and Cons

  • It explained the Amazon Influencer program.
  • The method he was teaching didn't work after the first few months of him selling it.
  • He took advantage of the fact Amazon was giving people an easy way to make money online. He then used the trust he gained from everyone who bought to scam them in his higher ticket programs.
  • Travis is very rude and condescending to anybody who questions him in general, but especially his lies.
