• Jacksepticeye – an Irish gamer – earned €14 million in 12 months recently, mostly via views of his YouTube videos.
• Last month a US teenager won $3 million in a Fortnite tournament. (For reference, Tiger Woods took home only $2 million as the winner of the 2019 Masters.)
• The highest earner on Twitch – a live streaming video site dominated by gamers – pulls in an estimated $500,000 per month.
• Almost $112 million has been earned by esports players so far this year, with eight of them pulling in more than $1 million apiece.

Furthermore, the gaming industry is growing massively, so it seems there’s plenty of pie to go round.
