17 Leads from Tweet Jacking

Dawid Cedrych posted on Reddit and Indie Hackers about how he got 17 leads for his design business simply by responding to a tweet.

See the response here.

He was responding to Andrew Wilkinson, who has 91k followers. Andrew tweeted that he was looking to hire a designer and Dawid quickly posted a link to his portfolio.

I call this tweet jacking: when you quickly respond to a tweet by someone with tons of followers and thereby attract lots of eyeballs 👀

It needs to be done tactfully, of course. And in Dawid’s case it helped that he had a solid portfolio.

Also worth noting that Dawid’s posts about the 17 leads on Reddit and Indie Hackers surely brought him even more attention and leads.

Nicely done 👏
