That’d be Austin Hankwitz, and here’s his 90-second TikTok explaining how he became a full-time influencer – in the lucrative finance space – in only 12 months 🚀

He manages to squeeze in a promo for Intel in that short video. Bloomberg reports that Austin earns $4500 to $8000 per sponsored post, and he’s earning another $3500+ per month via Patreon.

His annual earnings are reported to be in excess of $500,000, and apparently he’s built up a portfolio worth $1.3 million since March 2020.

Sounds like an overnight success, but Austin started building his following while still working a full-time remote job, and at one point went 3 months creating and posting content to TikTok every single day. Few people are willing to put in that kind of effort with no guaranteed reward.

As per that Bloomberg article, there are a number of “finluencers” out there like Austin, and I’d say the main thing they have in common is their ability to teach complex or boring topics in a simple and fun way.
