Yesterday I was struggling to write up this edition of the newsletter. I had a lingering flu, hadn’t slept great, and YouTube was right there with lots of easy distractions.
Then I asked myself: what part of the movie is this?
See, I find it helpful to think of my life as an epic movie where I’m the hero 🦸🏻♂️
And what inevitably happens in such movies is that the hero goes through a bunch of trials and tribulations but ultimately comes out on top.
Those parts of the movie where everything seems hopeless?
That’s always just a setup for the hero to show what they’re really made of. That’s when they turn things around.
For example, in Avengers: Endgame when Thanos’ whole army arrives right after he has single-handedly beat the crap out of Captain America 😔
Things looked pretty bleak at that moment… but it was just the setup for this…
