Just over 3 years ago, Thomas Sanlis launched Uneed.best, “a website dedicated to curating the best tools on the internet” 🛠

He only recently started monetizing the site and it’s now earning him $575 per month.

Launching on Product Hunt seems to have been a game-changer…

Since launching on Product Hunt last October, Uneed has seen tremendous growth. In January alone, the site received 52K visits and 230K page views.

To monetize the platform, I started offering a monthly subscription service where users can feature their tools on the homepage. With only 5 of 25 seats remaining, it’s clear to me now that people are finding value in this 🤗

Uneed also has a weekly newsletter with a sponsored ad spot.

As the traffic and email list grows, Thomas should be able to steadily increase revenue 📈

The key is automation. Adding a tool literally takes me 2 minutes, which has made it easy to incorporate into my daily routine.

I’m fascinated by directory sites like this. Each piece of content is tiny, easy to create, and pretty much worthless on its own. But with enough content like that in a specific category, you end up with a useful directory.
