Selling Her Notes For $22,000

Pat Walls tweets about newsletteros.com, described as “an instructional wiki for people that want to start their own newsletter.”

Janel Loi apparently put 150 hours into creating it and has earned $22k since launch on November 19th 🤑

The product is essentially just Janel’s notes about creating, growing and monetizing a newsletter. It’s packaged as a Notion project and sold through Gumroad.

The truth is that I really built the thing for myself, then expanded the content and made it pretty before selling it to others.

Could you organize and polish up your own notes and sell them like this? 🤔

Worth mentioning that Janel had a mailing list of 915 people and a few thousand followers on Twitter when she launched Newsletter OS. That surely contributed to her success.

Build something like that without an existing audience, and sales will be harder to come by.
