The highest hourly rate I’ve seen for a Professional English Teacher on iTalki is $44.

Note that iTalki takes a 15% commission on transactions between teachers and students, and teachers are also charged a small fee when they withdraw their earnings.

As for workload, it seems you can teach as much or as little as you on iTalki so long as you can find enough students.

The pro teacher in the video below reports that she usually does 7-8 classes per day and sometimes as many as 10-11.
