I just started my social media management business 4 months ago. I’m 30 [years old].
And…
I provide content [for clients] on all social media platforms, marketing services, and website and SEO services.
💬 Then in another comment…
I’m now 4 months in and making about $2500/month profit after all my service fees taken off… this is only a side business, though. I’m only working on this in the evenings.
Elsewhere he says “I’m a 1 man show” who is “maybe working 30 hours a month” and he saves ~10 hours of work each week thanks to ChatGPT 🤖
Piecing together info from other posts…
I work with Contractors and with people in the construction field. I charge anywhere between $500-1500/month for my services.
No degree and no background. I kind of just stumbled upon it. Learned everything through trial and error and youtube. I’m a Civil Engineer by trade.
I went directly into a niche I had a background in. I recommend that to everyone so that when you have a sit down meeting with a client you can actually understand their business when they tell you what they do. It saves a tonne of time when it comes to creating content and it gives the client the confidence you can actually take on the role of managing their content.
🥳 Here’s how he landed his first client…
I had a contractor in replacing my windows and I needed my door to be replaced. The contractor i used had no social media presence, so i asked if we could swap me starting him a facebook page and running it for him for a month for him replacing my door with a prehumg door… I expected a no and for him to give me a quote…. he said sure. I had no experience in it, its just something i noticed he didnt have and he could use. So i did the research, learned design, i already had some writing experience… and now 3 months down the line and now I have 3 clients and a meeting with a potential 4th on friday.
How he gets more clients…
Cold messaging through Facebook. I look through contracting pages and look for what can be improved, what’s missing, and I’ll send them a message telling them about my services.
He goes on to give an example script for messaging prospective clients 😎
HumbleBurritoo is based in Canada, as are most of his clients, but this is a simple business that could work in lots of countries and with lots of industries.
You could also scale it into an agency eventually, hiring people to do the day-to-day work while you focus on project management.
Could you do this where you are?
For an industry you’re familiar with? 🤔
