A chap calling himself Hari Krishna recently posted on Hacker News: My Microstartups make $500/day while I’m sleeping 😴

He lists three websites that made up the bulk of his $117,000 in revenue last year, with only $3000 in expenses.

The three sites:

• Visa List – $50,000/year, travel visa info
• AnExplorer – $50,000/year file manager app
• ACrypto – $10,000/year crypto price alerts tracker

A few commenters call out Hari for self-promoting on HN, but it seems to be working well so you could probably learn from his example.

I’ve had ideas over the years… and the title of this post makes me wonder if my ideas are too big and that’s a reason why they never got to implementation. The concept of a bunch of small/micro things that make hobby level money is interesting.

In other words, instead of trying to launch the next big thing, it may be better to make lots of little bets…
