Check out EverydayCarry.com, a review and recommendation site for gear and gadgets. They rank well on Google for terms such as brightest flashlight and best pocket knife.
It started as a Tumblr blog back in 2009 by Bernard Capulong.
Bernard remains the site’s editor in chief, but the site was recently sold for $1 million 💰
The new owner reports that the site makes “$1000+ every day” from affiliate commissions, mainly linking to products on Amazon.
But that’s not even the biggest revenue stream for the business, with “one off ad sales” making up “over 50% of the revenue.”
So the site is doing around $70K in total revenue each month 🤑
Not bad for something that started as an “outlet for [Bernard] to share his favorite headphones or pliers.”
