Ryan Ali
- Travel advisor, trading as Traviso Travel with host agency Fora
- $200,000 estimated net commission
Ryan Ali plans luxury family trips as a travel advisor with Fora, which supplies the booking platform and supplier deals for $299 a year.
He started in April 2025 alongside a healthcare marketing job, aiming for $500K of bookings by Christmas, and hit $1.3M instead π€
By September this year, he was up to $2.6M total.
Booked travel isn’t income though…
You don’t get paid your commission, which could range from 10% to 15%, depending on whatever you end up booking, until the client travels. When I first started, I was booking trips into 2026, 2027.
At the 10% he quotes, $2.6M works out at about $260K of commission, and Fora keeps 20-30% of that depending on your volume.
So call it $200K to him before expenses and tax.
Full-time hosted advisors average $67K after three years, so he is well ahead of the pack πͺ
Clever marketing is what got Ryan exceptional results…
- A 30/60/90-day outreach calendar, pushing three or four destinations at existing clients each quarter, months before they’d think to book
- Asking “why there?” at intake, then offering four destinations the client had never considered
- A FaceTime debrief after every trip, which shapes the next one for that family and for other families
- Postcards to five or six clients on day one of every trip he takes, pulling about 10 replies per 30 sent
Ryan explaining why the last one works…
Deliver something authentic. Clients get tons of emails, phone calls, and texts. A postcard lands.
Sign up with a host agency, start with the trips your friends already ask you about, then copy Ryan’s clever marketing for fast results π
