Guy sells Mac app for 12 months in Bali

Well, kinda.

The app itself is an alarm that goes off if someone unplugs or closes your laptop when it’s left unattended in a cafe.

Key points:

• Andrey only had 6 months’ experience as a macOS developer
• He pre-sold the app with a video showing how it would work
• Total revenue from the app was $834
• Then someone offered to buy it
• Sale price was “about 12–16 months of living expenses here in Bali.”

That’d be at least $10k then, maybe as much as $20k 💰

I’m sure the way Andrey built his app also worked in his favor. Seems he did it very publicly. The person who bought the app was actually an acquaintance he let try it for free.
