Mailoji was created by Ben Stokes, a 25-year-old developer from the UK. His write-up of the project is a fun read with a great headline:
👉 I bought 300 emoji domain names from Kazakhstan and built an email service
Ben wrote at the bottom of the article that he hadn’t yet earned a profit from Mailoji and was at ~$1440/year in revenue.
Then the article went viral – due largely to Hacker News 📈 – and he’s now at $9000/year.
