November 2017 Finance Report

Here be all my finances for November 2017.

I spent the first three weeks of the month on in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, then spent 6 days days jumping around the South of France (Nice, Monaco, Marseille), before heading to Morocco for the home stretch.

First time seeing one of these finance reports? Click here for a quick intro.

I’ve been tracking everything I earn and spend since January 2011, just a few weeks after quitting my day job. Every month since, I’ve published one of these finance reports.

Sharing this info publicly keeps me accountable and hopefully gives you some insight into how I earn a living online.

Patrons get to see each new report before anyone else.

I was aiming to keep everything under €2000 for the month, so I was overly optimistic by €403. Accommodation expenses were more than anticipated.

Biggest Regret?

Nothing much.

Would have been good to keep the receipt for that first pair of swim goggles so I could have returned them and got my €20 back.

Year To Date

Here’s how I’m doing so far in 2017 in terms of profit and loss:

January € 668 $ 720
February € 724 $ 763
March € 2,704 $ 2,881
April € 1,023 $ 1,114
May € 10 $ 11
June € 1,755 $ 2,006
July € 166 $ 196
August € 769 $ 918
Sepetember € 1,131 $ 1,337
October € 1,099 $ 1,279
November € 609 $ 709
Total € 1,708 $ 1,988

Where That Leaves Me

I had €10,719/$12,474 to my name at the end of October.

Taking into account all my November income and expenditure, and the most recent exchange rates – I have accounts in EUR, HKD and USD – my total bank and cash balances now work out to €10,638/$12,680. 48

Outlook For December

We’re already a week deep into December as I’m putting together this report and I’m off to a fast start-income wise. If 3M1K pulls in the usual average of $2,000 I should get close to the $5k mark for the month.

As for expenses, I’m going to try keep everything under €2,500, which might be pushing it given that I haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet :-/
