About the Author

Niall Doherty

Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.

I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.

Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Over the last 4 years (through 2023) I’ve earned $842,000 from my laptop, mostly via affiliate marketing.

I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best affiliate marketing courses. My team and I have spent 900+ hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.

All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.

The Best Affiliate Marketing Course?

We’re on a mission to find the best affiliate marketing course, based on our own extensive research plus feedback from real students.

Unfortunately, Short Form Riches doesn’t come close to topping our list of the best courses…

🏆 Best Affiliate Marketing Courses 🏆

How does Short Form Riches help you make money?

In the Introduction and Overview video for Short Form Riches, Chases says you can use it to earn money in a few ways…

If you want to sell services, if you want to sell [your own] products, if you want to sell [affiliate products], you can do it with this system if you put in the right steps.

In another early video, instructor Ryan Borden boils the Short Form Riches system down to this…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review basic concept

Here’s my understanding of the SFR system…

  • Identify trending topics
  • Create short form video content on those topics
  • Post the videos to platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels
  • Those videos lead people to a landing page
  • You capture their emails on that landing page
  • Then you try to sell them something via email

The “something” you sell them can be…

  • Your own product (eg. a course or ebook your created)
  • Your own service (eg. web design or video editing)
  • A product you are an affiliate for.

The last one there is called affiliate marketing. That’s when you promote other people’s products or services, and collect a commission for every successful referral.

While I agree with Chase that you can use the Short Form Riches system to promote pretty much anything, promoting affiliate products is the main focus of the training.

And, having gone through much of the training, my impression is that it mostly shows you how to promote Chase Reiner’s own products, including SFR itself.

In fairness, Chase does say many times that promoting his products is entirely optional, and he does show you how to find and promote other people’s products.

His words from one of the training videos…

There’s different affiliate programs that you can promote. We’re going to show you how to promote our products if you want to promote our products. It’s completely optional.

Some people, they look at our stuff and they go, “Well, Chase, you’re just telling people to promote your products.”

No, I’m telling you to promote whatever you want. I’m telling you to promote what works. If you want to promote our products, great. If you want to promote your own products, great. If you want to promote other affiliate products, it doesn’t matter.

You can promote whatever you want because the method is the same.

While this is true, most of the examples you’ll see inside the training are promoting Chase’s own products. And from what I’ve seen inside the SFR community, most students seem to take this approach.

Which isn’t all that surprising given that the #1 resource listed in the training is a link to sign up as an affiliate for Short Form Riches itself…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review module class resources

Also, the training recommends that you post A LOT of short form video content.

Another of the trainers (Alex Hart) says in a training video…

The more content that we can get out, the better. Because that gives us a higher chance of going viral. That gives us a higher chance of being seen by everybody.

In the same video Alex says…

Our current strategy right now is we have 5 separate accounts on the different platforms… we post one to two videos every single day on each of the five accounts across all the platforms.

Those two videos that I just made, I will be posting on three, four, five different accounts across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook… all these short form platforms, so we can get massive exposure from one video. And now we do that 5 different times so across 5 different channels with 5 different videos we have 25 videos a day.

So they basically recommend that you create multiple accounts on platforms like YouTube and TikTok and post the same videos across all those accounts and channels.

This might help you get more video views – and maybe make more money – but personally I find it quite spammy.

As for the video content you produce, the training is quite big on repurposing or reacting to other people’s content, or just slightly tweaking it in some way (eg. increasing the speed or changing the text).

Short Form Riches even provides you with dozens of example videos that you can use, some of which you can add your own “call to action” to. Of course, some of these videos promote Chase’s own products that you can be an affiliate for.

As you might expect, platforms like TikTok don’t like people posting duplicate videos and often ban accounts that do this. But Short Form Riches has a whole lesson about how to work around this and avoid getting your account banned.

Also, the marketing for Short Form Riches makes it sound like it will teach you how to use artificial intelligence to make money online, but from what I’ve seen there’s very little about AI in the training itself. This is more of a marketing gimmick that they teach you in the course. The idea is to identify a hot trend – like artificial intelligence – and leverage that to promote whatever it is that you’re selling.

Short Form Riches definitely walks its talk in this regard!

In summary, I’d say that Short Form Riches mainly shows you how to leverage other people’s content to create (many many many) short videos promoting products that pay you a commission for every referral.

And from what I’ve seen, most SFR students tend to promote Chase Reiner’s own products, even though they can promote anything they want.

Who is Short Form Riches for?

As of this writing, this is the video atop of the Short Form Riches sales page…

The title of that video says it all really…

Chat GPT Hack Earns $75,000 Monthly For Beginners (EASY WAY TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE FOR BEGINNERS)

And the video starts off saying…

You can earn 75,000 a month, even if you’re a beginner, utilizing the new ChatGPT hack that’s built right into Shine Ranker. That’s what we’re going to talk about in this video.

Given that, Short Form Riches is very much aimed at beginners.

And there really isn’t anything too advanced in the course, so most people should be able to follow the instructions. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to make money by following what they teach (more on this later).

Does Chase Reiner have a good reputation?

Short Form Riches is somewhat controversial, mainly because Chase Reiner is somewhat controversial.

Chase’s personal website has some bold claims. For example, he calls himself the “highest-rated SEO consultant on Google,” but I didn’t see him on any lists of top-ranking SEOs 😕

Last I checked, Chase doesn’t seem to talk about anything other than his AI-centric courses on his social media accounts. I found this rather off-putting, especially given that he teaches students a similar approach. (More on this in a bit.)

For instance, compare the videos on his YouTube channel several years ago…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review old youtube videos

With his more recent videos…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review recent youtube videos

Looks like Chase used to share more practical videos, but nowadays almost all his content is about seemingly quick ways to make big money online and ultimately promotes his paid training.

Someone made a video back in 2018 claiming that Chase faked a screenshot to promote his own SEO training, and the evidence presented is hard to argue with…

Indeed, my biggest issue with Chase is his approach to marketing. I consider it to be overly aggressive. And within Short From Riches he encourages his students to follow his lead, sometimes to the point of getting their accounts banned on social media…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review youtube channel banned
Source: Make Money Online With Short-Form Content Facebook group

Furthermore, one of the lessons within SFR is “How to avoid getting banned on TikTok…”

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review topics

Apparently this is such a common occurrence that they devote a full (hour-long) session to it early in the training.

You’ll see another example of Chase’s questionable marketing if you sign up for his mailing list.

He uses an abundance of typos, likely in an attempt to avoid spam filters, and makes it sound like he has a simple hack for making money online.

Here’s a screenshot from one of the emails I received after signing up to his list…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review email

So while Chase does have lots of good advice to share – I found some genuinely helpful and insightful training within Short Form Riches – too often I found that advice to be wrapped in questionable marketing tactics and overblown claims.

And unfortunately he seems to encourage his own students to do similar 😕

Anyway, here’s a video from Chase’s YouTube channel so you can get a feel for his style…

Are Short Form Riches students getting results?

Browse through the official Short Form Riches websites and you’ll find some student testimonials.

For example…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review student result
chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review student testimonial
chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review student review

It’s nice to see students getting results like these.

However, it’s not clear what kinds of products or services they are promoting to achieve their results.

Many successful students are clearly promoting Chase’s own products, like this one…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review student promoting chase's own products

And others seem to be promoting products on platforms such as WarriorPlus and Clickbank, which don’t exactly have a great reputation.

Still, some students are clearly getting results by following the training. I haven’t seen as many success stories as I expected, but I’ll give Short Form Riches the benefit of the doubt here since it’s still fairly new as I’m writing this.

How much does Short Form Riches cost?

For access to the Short Form Riches training, there are two options:

  • $625 one-time
  • 3 monthly payments of $214

The latter adds up to a total price of $642.

You get lifetime access with either option.

The only additional expense is a domain name that you can point people to from your videos. Chase’s team recommends Google Domains, where a domain usually costs $12/year.

Other than that, I believe that you don’t have to put any extra money aside to fully implement the core training. Investing in TikTok and Instagram boosts will give you more video views, but are not mandatory.

However, when I signed up for Short Form Riches I was hit with three upsells…

  • AI Profits: $601
  • Official Shine Ranker SEO Checklist: $27
  • One more upsell: $527

I can’t remember what the last upsell was exactly, and they might have changed it by now anyway.

But my point is: expect to be hit with several upsells after buying any of Chase Reiner’s products.

Short Form Riches Discount?

I’ve rummaged far and wide for a discount or coupon code with no success.

So it seems you need to pay in full to get access.

Refund Policy

Short Form Riches does not give refunds.

As stated on the Refund & Cancelation Policy page…

NO Refunds are granted for our Digital Content (templates, tools, software, scripts, swipe files, courses that are distributed in Google Sheets, and all other materials that can be replicated once purchased). All sales are final.

I’m not a fan of this policy, having seen lots of other online courses that deliver the content digitally and instantly, yet still offer a refund policy.

How is Short Form Riches structured?

When I first got access to Short Form Riches, all the content was presented in two spreadsheets…

  • Short Form Riches Class Replays
  • Chase Reiner Short-Form Checklist
chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review screenshot of the class replays spreadsheet
Above: screenshot of the Class Replays spreadsheet
chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review screenshot of the short-form checklist

I was a long way into the training before I realized I could create an account and access the materials from the first spreadsheet in a much nicer interface…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review introduction and overview

Regardless of how you access it, the live training lasts 8 weeks

During each of the 8 weeks, there are several live calls where a member of Chase’s team teaches the course materials. Other than Chase Reiner, the live lessons are presented by Ryan Borden, Alex Hart and James Jernigan.

Each call lasts about an hour and ends with a Q&A section where the students can ask questions related to the lessons.

Each call is recorded so you can go back through the training in your own time

On the other side, the Short-Form Checklist consists of short YouTube videos that aim to further teach you how to create short-form content and promote it. The topics covered here are uploading content to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as creating email campaigns and ads.

The training itself is okay. Chase and the other instructors clearly know their stuff and they often share their screen to show you exactly how to do things step-by-step.

But the live classes are quite long and scattered. And it’s hard to refer back to exact parts of the training later, as there’s no search function and little-to-no text alongside each video.

The bigger issue though is that I’m simply not convinced many people will get results by following what the course teaches. They basically show you how to repurpose other people’s video content and post your own version to multiple accounts on multiple platforms. It’s quite a spammy approach to affiliate marketing, if you ask me.

SFR even points you towards a few of their own test YouTube accounts where they’ve posted videos designed to get tons of views, but many of them barely have any views at all.

For example…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review sfr own test youtube accounts
All videos on this channel were at least a month old when I took the screenshot.

So it’s not like these kinds of videos just rack up views automatically.

Given that, I’m extremely skeptical that the average person can generate a good income simply by posting these types of videos and encouraging viewers to buy something via an affiliate link.

One more thing here: there isn’t a dedicated Facebook community for members of Short Form Riches, only a free group…

chatgpt short form riches chase reiner review facebook community activity

Within that group, people seem to openly communicate their issues and most of their questions get answered. However, I would have expected the admins to be more active.

Green Lights 🟢

Some positive points for Short Form Riches…

  • Fairly active private community.
  • The lessons are easy to follow.
  • Multiple weekly live group calls.
  • The instructors seem to walk their talk.

Red Flags 🚩

A few things to be wary of regarding Short Form Riches…

  • No refunds.
  • Lots of expensive upsells.
  • No search functionality; hard to find specific lessons.
  • Most students seem to end up promoting Chase’s own products.
  • Some questionable marketing tactics used to sell the course.
  • Some questionable marketing tactics taught within the course.
  • Fewer success stories than I expected.

Other things you should know

  • Keep in mind that the price for Short Form Riches seems to rise constantly. I saw it cost $554 not too long ago.
  • Even though I do believe one can make money quickly by following this program, I’m not sure that this is the best or the most ethical way to do so. I’ve seen reports of people getting their TikTok and YouTube accounts banned by following the Short Form Riches training.

Should you join Short Form Riches?

Personally, I’d be hesitant to join the course given all of the above.

I’m sure Chase Reiner’s system will work for some people, but ultimately I believe the vast majority of students will simply end up spamming social media with short videos promoting Chase’s own products… and earn little-to-no money for their efforts.

Add to that: there’s no refund policy for Short Form Riches, so no way to test it out before committing fully 😔

However, if you are a big fan of Chase Reiner and would like to learn some of his best marketing strategies, then you’ll probably find Short Form Riches to be a worthwhile investment.
