How does Blogging Fastlane help you make money?

Blogging Fast Lane aims to help you build and grow a blog that gets tons of traffic from Google and other search engines.

You would mainly monetize that traffic via affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is when you promote other people’s products or services and collect a commission for every successful referral.

As Tom and Anna put it…

We show you how to build and grow an Affiliate Machine that stands out from everyone else and continuously makes money — even when you sleep.

The Blogging Fast Lane Accelerator is a tested and proven 8-week online program that teaches you exactly how to build, grow, and earn from your blog… strategically!

(Btw, the full name of the course is Blogging Fast Lane Accelerator.)

Who is Blogging Fast Lane for?

The course sells itself as a platform for bloggers of all levels of experience…

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any tech skills or any previous experience. Everything you need to know is provided in this step-by-step course, including videos showing you exactly how to set everything up.

However, given how it’s suitable for people that don’t even have a blog yet, I’d say that beginners will find the most value here.

It is apparently also suitable for people that have a blog, but aren’t making much money with it…

If you already have a blog but are still not making decent money from it then this course is for you. We teach you how to turn your blog into an Affiliate Machine that consistently will bring in passive income.

Even though Tom and Anna are travel bloggers, it looks like even people that aren’t in the same camp will find it useful. They don’t seem to focus on travel blogging, but rather tactics that are applicable for any niche.

Do Tom Rogers and Anna Faustino have a good reputation?

Yes.

They’ve been making good money as bloggers for several years already. I did a ton of research and published a case study about them a while back. I also saw them give an impressive talk at a conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

They’ve built up a pretty big following on social networks like Facebook and Instagram, and I’ve rarely heard a bad word said about them over the years.

Ahrefs shows that their main website, Adventure In You, remains strong…

And Blogging Fast Lane, the website where they teach others how to blog, has been growing steadily…

blogging fast lane review bloggingfastlane.com ahrefs graph

There’s quite a wealth of free information available on both websites.

You can get a feel for their teaching style in this video by Anna, all about affiliate marketing for bloggers…

Are Blogging FastLane students getting results?

It’s easy enough to find students of Blogging Fast Lane reporting solid results.

For example…

blogging fast lane review student results
blogging fast lane review student reviews
blogging fast lane review student testimonials
Above testimonial from the owners of a website called Vegan Punks, as featured here.

Not every testimonial speaks to results achieved however. Many just praise the course for its structure and lessons.

But I’ve seen enough on Tom and Anna’s reviews page to conclude that the training is effective if you’re willing to put in the work.

How much does Blogging Fast Lane cost?

For access to the Blogging Fastlane training, there are two options:

  • $697 one-time payment
  • 4 payments of $199

The latter adds up to a total price of $796.

You get lifetime access with either option.

Just keep in mind that you may need to cover additional costs to fully implement the training. Although most of the tools that Tom and Anna recommend have free versions, it seems like some of them – OptinMonster, for instance – only have paid plans.

Also, Blogging Fastline has at least one bundled upsell, for the following two products…

  • Digital Product Launchpad
  • Pitch Like a Pro

If you opt for that, the price is an additional $297.

Blogging Fastlane Discount?

I couldn’t find a discount code for Blogging Fastlane.

My guess is full price is the only way to go.

Refund Policy

The sales page for Blogging Fastlane specifies a 90-day action-based money-back guarantee…

If you watch the videos, complete the action points, and put to work everything you learn and are not completely satisfied with the course within the first 90 days, we will give you 100% of your money back! This is how much we believe in our program.

Tom and Anna only briefly describe this on the sales page. I would have liked to see more info there. But once you are signed up, you get access to a Refund Request Checklist, which seems to explain everything much better.

Here’s exactly what you need to go through in order to get a refund for Blogging Fastlane…

blogging fast lane review refund process

Given all that, it’s not exactly easy to get a refund if you’re not satisfied with Blogging Fast Lane.

I can understand why they have it set up like this – they want to make sure you put in the work required to achieve success – but I personally prefer to the no-questions-asked refund policies I’ve seen in some other courses.

That said, I haven’t seen any complaints from students regarding refunds.

How is Blogging Fastlane structured?

Here’s what the training looks like once you’re logged in…

blogging fast lane review course dashboard

The core training is broken up into 4 big modules which last 8 weeks total. They’re filled with video lessons that last around 20-30 hours (not including the bonuses).

Each lesson comes with action points. These are homework assignments that usually shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. It is highly recommended that you do these in order to fully implement the training.

The training starts off with some mindset and organization lessons, then quickly shifts to affiliate marketing. It also incorporates SEO and email marketing later.

My impression is that the training is quite comprehensive, and I like how they cover monetizing with display ads as well as affiliate marketing.

Most videos also have transcripts, which can be helpful. But I would have liked to see a search function within the course as well. Without that, it can be hard to quickly find and refer back to specific lessons or topics.

There are also many bonuses included with Blogging Fast Lane, such as:

  • 7 Day Fast Lane Launch Plan
  • WordPress Made Simple Video Vault
  • Blog Branding Kickstarter Pack
  • Pinterest Explosion Course
  • Time Hacking Secrets
  • Business of Blogging Templates and Resources
  • Live Q & A Videos
  • BFL Case Studies

Finally, there’s a private Facebook community. It has about 1500 members but I would have expected to see more activity in there…

That said, I was pleased to see either Tom or Anna responding to pretty much every post in the group.

Green Lights 🟢

Some positive points for Blogging Fast Lane…

  • Most students seem to rate the course highly.
  • Practical and comprehensive training.
  • Reasonable price.
  • No misleading marketing tactics.
  • Tom Rogers and Anna Faustino walk their talk.
  • You pay once and get lifetime access with free updates.

Red Flags 🚩

Some knocks on Blogging FastLane…

  • No mention on the sales page of expenses beyond the price of the training.
  • Training can feel disjointed and hard to navigate.
  • Looks like the training is fully updated only once every couple of years.
  • Complicated refund policy.

Other things you should know

  • Tom and Anna’s training outlines every bit of what they’ve done to build their own very successful business. This unique content is available to you as soon as you enroll in the course.
  • I’ve noticed during my research that the training may not have been updated for a couple of years. Therefore, there’s no guarantee that they still recommend using the software they used when last updating it, such as OptinMonster and ActiveCampaign.

Should you join Blogging Fast Lane?

From what I’ve seen, the vast majority of people who buy this course end up happy with their purchase.

I consider it to be a solid investment if you’re a new blogger committed to monetizing a blog via affiliate marketing.

Just be aware that success with such training usually requires a significant amount of time and effort. (This is true for all types of online business.)

The best course I've found for building a travel website

I found this course in 2018 when Anna and Tom created it. Later they upgraded the course, and both the first and the second versions of BFL gave me all the basic skills that I needed to drive my travel blog in the right direction.

At first, I learned about SEO. Yes, there are plenty of other courses about SEO, but I found only Blogging Fast Lane proper because it was also focused on my niche (not just every niche), and this helped me to figure out what exactly to do. The same then happened with affiliate marketing.

What I most liked was that this course was made by travelers for travel bloggers. As a result, I learned all that I needed to know about blogging. Currently, my blog is still growing (it was slowed down by the pandemic), and the skills and knowledge from the BFL always remain a foundation for me. Even when I learn something new from another source, I know that I couldn’t easily understand it without my BFL experience.

Pros and Cons

  • Not only about general SEO and affiliate marketing, but exactly my niche oriented (travel).
  • Anna and Tom are always very helpful. I also like the BFL community of bloggers created to help each other.
  • Since the course is affiliate marketing oriented, they cover too little about other blogging topics that are not affiliate-related.

Best course for beginners, especially in travel niche

I took lots of courses over the last 5 years since I started blogging and Blogging Fast Lane is my favorite one that I would recommend to anyone. It is created by an international couple of travel bloggers who have an inspiring success story and lots of knowledge on building a blogging business.

This course is honestly amazing for a beginner blogger as they cover everything from WordPress setup to affiliate marketing to SEO. They even cover things like marketing and email automation. I am still getting back to some parts whenever I’m working on a particular goal and re-watching the course to refresh on the basics every time I’m starting a new blog.

They teach you to build a blogging business from scratch and all the practical tools you need. At the same time, they keep your motivation on point with little encouragement videos in every module. I have three blogs at the moment and my last one just hit 50k monthly sessions recently. There is still a bunch of strategies from this course that I haven’t implemented yet, so the potential is limitless!

Pros and Cons

  • Very clear structure of the course and thorough topic coverage
  • Step-by-step blogging journey and what you should do and expect on each step
  • They are very responsive and supportive, both in the FB group and by email
  • They don't update it often enough

An immersive blogging course with a focus on affiliate marketing

I was one of the first students on the Blogging Fast Lane course, having joined in 2018 not long after it launched. My reason for joining was specifically to improve how I was monetizing my blog – which was already an established platform – in particular through affiliate marketing.

My experience on the course has been overwhelmingly positive. Anna and Tom have constantly worked to develop and improve the experience, and the level of support they provide through the Facebook group is outstanding.

My learning in the course has translated into results. Within 7 months of applying the techniques, I went from nearly zero income from affiliate marketing to more than $750 per month. Then, during the pandemic, I participated in a blog post challenge that Anna ran for the course’s community, and the blog post I created for it earned more than $4,000 in six months.

Pros and Cons

  • The affiliate marketing expertise provided by Tom and Anna.
  • The community support provided through the Facebook group.
  • The course is continuously maintained and regularly upgraded.
  • It's more expensive than some other courses, but worth the investment in my opinion.

It covers all the key topics

Blogging Fast Lane is excellent for those who want to generate good revenue from blogging.

Tom and Anna precisely describe some useful topics like affiliate marketing, blog branding, SEO, affiliate marketing, social media tricks, driving traffic to new blogs, etc. They have obviously done good research and shared every useful detail to help you monetize your blog.

The bad thing is they don’t tell you upfront how much it will cost, but they do warn you that running a blog costs money and that you need to be prepared for that. However, they should disclose all the extra costs that come with blogging, in my opinion.

Overall, it is an excellent and legit course.

Pros and Cons

  • Easy to understand
  • Crucial topics are covered
  • The 90-days money-back guarantee
  • Hidden costs of running a blog
  • The course price is bit high
  • The course is not always available for sale

Great for beginners who have no idea about blogging

I purchased the Blogging Fast Lane course in 2019. When I bought the course I already had a blog and I was already familiar with SEO and blogging in general, but blogging was my side hustle. However, I wasn’t making an income with blogging, which is why I bought the course. I needed help with finding out what I was missing. Unfortunately, this course wasn’t the answer for me.

I found the course very detailed and well organized and in the dedicated FB group Ana and Tom would always answer any questions. However, although I am sure I have learned something new from it, I was already aware of the majority of the strategies taught in the course. So in my case, it wasn’t really helpful for what I needed.

I believe Anna and Tom’s course is great for absolute beginners because they give you a blueprint of the blogging business. Still, even in that case, you should not stick to one source of information. I took about 4 other courses, listened to podcasts and participated in blog-related discussions on dedicated Facebook groups.

The blogging industry is in perpetual change and sticking to one course, even the greatest one, is limiting in my opinion. Besides, we are all different, so the same information has a different impact on each person.

However, I reckon that Blogging Fast Lane is a great course for those who are just starting out and don’t have any clue what blogging is about.

Pros and Cons

  • It's in short video format and very well organized.
  • It provides a step by step map of the blogging journey.
  • The FB group is useful to interact with other students and the teachers.
  • It's only helpful for beginners.

Helped me to make money from blogging

A few months ago, I brought the Blogging Fast Lane course by Tom and Anna, and it helped me make money through successful blogging.

The best thing about the course is that all the strategies they teach have been tried out on their different blogs. Anna and Tom share their real blogging experience, so you know they advice and techniques have been tested out.

The course layout is quite ease to follow. It shows you step by step what needs to be done in order to build a blog and by following the instructions you can make your blogging business successful.

Besides that, the BFL community is very active. Whenever you need help, advice, opinions, etc., the fellow students will comment and assist you in reaching a solution.

Pros and Cons

  • Social media hacks
  • SEO tips
  • Explanations are easy to follow
  • Expensive
  • Some topics are not updated
  • A few topics are not covered

My review of Blogging Fast Lane

Investing in this training was most likely the scariest thing I’ve ever done for my website. It’s the most expensive course I’ve ever purchased (apart from my degree). I wasn’t sure if it was wise, especially when my blogging income was nonexistent due to the epidemic.

However, the 90-day money-back guarantee and the numerous glowing reviews assisted me in deciding that I should invest in my website and make it even better than before… I am beyond grateful that I did.

The course also taught me how to automatically use business models to expand and profit from my website. More than just putting SEO tactics and affiliate connections in place, it’s also essential to have the right mindset for building a successful online business.

A successful blog doesn’t just appear overnight. It depends on your niche, the amount of time you dedicate to your site, and a lot of other variables. But if you are diligent and follow the plan BFL has laid out, you will undoubtedly notice results within a few months.

It doesn’t matter if it means more views, a more extensive mailing list, affiliate revenues, or a mix of all three. But the techniques taught in BFL are effective as long as you use them consistently. In all honesty, I cannot recommend this course enough!

Pros and Cons

  • The business mindset lessons.
  • Suggested techniques work as long as they are consistently implemented.
  • This course taught me how to profit from my website.
